Yup, all done by me. May even try a hand at painting

Not done much updating, thats because the car is off the road for the winter and have been busy with Christmas and house work. The other project has started its own thread now http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?60328-Project-Q&p=766598#post766598

So here are the pictures of the bits that Ive started to aquire for the project R32 box, the transfer box is in the shed and just needs re-attaching Syncro beam with haldex diff, also part of a syncro prop shaft The all important boot pan

am interested in these and the illuminated needles

I seem to recall a forum member having this car before, at some point in the cars life it looked very sorry for itself and needed some major work, including welding. would be very good to keep it on the road as its very iconic and deserves restoring to its original condition, either way good luck with the direction you go with it.

2.0 16v kangaroos badly and eratic idle sometimes.
quicky1980 replied to corrado g's topic in Engine Bay
kangarooring was caused by a faulty lift pump for me. cheap and easy to fix. -
damn, mines 021 906 258 AG

check through the search. its been asked loads before. it can be done, i know ive done it but ended up getting a rotten engine so now am on a 24v engine which is much much better

I may have misunderstood, but the shoulder that needs removing from the arm, is it found on just the standard items or on the lupo ones too? This could help explain why my lupo wipers stutter. New blades help, but dont last long.

During the pilot period, employees of Barclays Bank PLC and members of their immediate family who hold a qualifying Barclays Debit Card, may apply for a Barclays Personalised Debit Card free of charge (the fee of £6.50 being waived for the purposes of the pilot scheme). Applications received after the pilot period has closed will attract the initial product fee of £6.50. looks like GCDG60 is right, shame, fancied a change but not spending £6.50 for it.

wasnt aware of that issue but thankfully this will be a road car primarily. Just to make sure that everyone is aware, this will be a failry slow build. my other one ive owned for over 6 years now I think and its taken me that long to get it to where Im just about happy with it. this one will have everything ive learnt, gathered over time put into it so this should become my main rado at some stage. the other one has its own fate but again will keep this updated as necessary

id guesse your front one has gone. which to use im unsure but i know that the diesel mount for the gearbox are transferable and stiffen things up. try rocking the engine by hand and see which mount looks to be loose, worn, split.

take the boot cover off and should be two nuts or bolts that hold it in place. undo these and some of the levers it should come out without taking the number plate pinth off. i had an issue with my boot not locking but when I checked I had forgot to reconnect a push rod to it. check yours all looks fine first before retumbling. btw im sure the tumblers will be of use to others on here so might be worth putting an advert up??

nice work! im sure youll love the 24v lump

Sorry forgot to answer this one, but really appreciate the offer however the interior wont be needed for what im doing. First step is to get the car to a rolling shell to allow for cuts and welds (easier said than done at the moment due to my lack of motivation)

the other end is fitted to a flat bracket that should come with the strut, the bracket goes on the bonnet frame. well thats what i came across during a search a while back
-
ive been a busy boy and havent had chance to look at this option either, i guess one of us will get to the answer soon.

thanks for the link, ive got the major bits i needed and a few more special bits but still tracking down the little fiddly things like rear beam brakets and rear calliper carriers. i think Ive sourced some rallye rear arms so should be ok for disks on the rears. wasnt thinking baja buggy as would need more money and time, was merely thinking space frame buggy like.. all depends really, plus the missus has told me i wouldnt be able to use it on our paddock, damn!

i think vw offered a standard alarm/immob from new but was basically an add on kit from scorpion iirc. depends on your skills, should be easy enough but if in doubt get an auto elec out

race you to the finish line, lol... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?60328-Project-Q&p=765529#post765529

Well the wheels are up for grabs. I think some of you know already so its no real surprise but the plan is awd with twin turbo 3.2 24v but this is going to take some time. Also have a few other plans but will expand as I get to each bit Just been looking at a few youtube vids of a 2.0 16v buggy, this may be something I can do with the engine and doesnt look too tricky to do

Started on my new project so thought it best to creat a new thread. I've got this Corrado for next to nothing, admitedly its not in the best condition but for what I need it for it's perfect. Some decent aspects to the car inc working sunroof, ss back box, working engine, pretty much all original too, but that will soon change lol So far Ive sold the interior and started to collect a number of goodies for the project but really need to sell the engine bay stuff to actually get started. Will try and upload some new pics of the bits I've got waiting to go into this car.
