  1. sounds like the thermo fuse has gone on the blower circuit board. check out the WIKI on how to fix. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fan_speed_thermal_fuse_repair.html
  2. lol, so desperate to find one he forgot to say. Looking at his post history " i am fitting a 2 litre ABF lump to my 91reg 1.8 16v raddo " so he either has the 2ltr or 1.8ltr 16v. I have two alternators from a vr6 if needed, not sure if they fit 16v's though.
  3. hmm i always wondered where that part when. Do you have any better pictures to figure it out better?
  4. Hi Just got ourselves a new shape beetle in the family. Any one on here have one too or know of one that they can check the below out with? I expected the engine management light to come on with ignition switch 1 or 2 to show its working and not been disconnected. But worryingly nothing shows up except the handbrake, battery and oil light iirc . Is this normal, or has the previous owner done something to hide an engine fault light. Thanks
  5. as long as its just temp' until you get the right replacement?
  6. Ordered the new split rim bolts, hoping to get the centres refurbed next week. Then some slick new rubber ready for the MOT!

    Glovebox

if you take the bottom shelf out, surely that will give you the required access to the head unit wires? no?
  8. Went to the Showcase cinema in Peterborough to watch the pirates of the Caribbean 4 (not that good tbh), after returning to the car I found a vr corrado parked behind mine  Reg ending in 225 (private plate me thinks). It looked pretty nice but didnt want to have a propper look as it may have lseemed a bit supiscouse
  9. Ive got two in the shed, not sure on part numbers but can check tomorrow. They were both off vr6's with AC
  10. did you ever find that link?
  11. ill try and find out about the tank vent and how its checked. ill look into the fuel regulator, but wouldnt the injectors just supply the required fuel and therefore not flood it?
  12. right, it doesnt look like its the lift pump, got a replacement pump from a mk2 golf 16v (GSF and VW couldnt find anything for a 2.0 16v corrado!) and tried it on the car and made no difference to the noise, so replaced the original one due to it fitting correctly and seemingly working ok. I did take the time to clean the pre pump strainer, it was pretty dirty, not enough to cause issues though imo. So any other ideas?
  13. I took the lift pump out to find out as no one here replied with an answer. Southie was pretty close as the part number on the pump is 191 906 092A, altough its hard to say if there is an extra digit which could be the D that he mentioned.
  14. Cm any one help? Ive used the search on here but everything seems to refer to single fuel pumps, not the twin versions found on 16's.
  15. epic journey, surely one could have been found closer or been couriered? well done though bud
  16. No idea, hence my question. Why, is this what you think I need? Or are you offering it for sale? If its the right part and if you can get it to me quick enough I may take it (that is if vw dont have it in stock)
  17. Hi can someone confirm the part number I need for a 2.0 16v in tank lift pump. I spoke to the VW guy today and he quoted over £150+vat. I expected it to cost £50 max!! If someone could confirm the number that would be great and I can then order it. Is it best to go vw or gsf with these? If it he the tpart looks like this (not sure about the bottom half as I havent looked) http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=38480&d=1269100048 http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=38481&d=1269100084 I've attempted to use ETKA and found this number 357 906 092A but is that right?
  18. Wired in the seats last weekend so now have height and lean adjustments  Also made another start on the wheels, have split the remaining 3 rims ready for blasting and painting. thinking of silver centres, gold bolts and polished rims (on the RH ZW1's if youve forgot). I was going to go 8" on front and 8.5" rear but Ill keep things simple at 8" all round for now. Car is still playing up when filling up a full tank of fuel so will get the fuel lift pump checked/replaced. In addition, managed to get my mom a car, off to collect this next week..
  19. still trying to save up for htis concept, only issue is the current car wont let me...I think she knows
  20. my symptoms after doing alot of searching on here seem to point towards a faulty lift pump or even the blocked filter as mentioned. The main pump under the car is noisy but I put this down to the engine conversion, its now possible that the lift pump has gone so will get it checked out. ---------- Post added at 10:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:18 PM ---------- oh, and will check for kinked pipes
  21. hmm, funny you say 'cus once you mentioned filter I was wondering if there was a second filter in the system. Ill check it out, is this part a piece to replace or just clean out? Any idea why the issues happen after fill up, or do you think its just coincidence?
  22. changed that a few months back so unlikely but might get it check/swapped over if thing keep playing up
  23. It's happened twice now, first time I filled at Morrissons (i know, i know) and the car stalled about 1-2miles down the road. managed to get it started again but the car was very unresponsive and was trying to stall for a while after, managed to drop the clutch and rev it through and after driving for about 8miles it all cleared up. I didnt think much of it as I thought it was due to dodgy fuel, now 300miles later i filled up again but this time with better ultima fuel. And it happened again except I managed to keep the engine alive (just) until it cleared itself again Both times the ambient air was warm/hot and I may have left it to the last minute before filling up. I'm hoping these issues are down to poor fuel and leaving the tank to get too low, but is there anything else i should check or be concerned of? My thoughts are fuel pump and/or relay. anything else or am i just being overly corrado paranoid??
  24. hello?! Still looking for help uploading this file.
