i remember seeing a picture of a rado on here with rallye lights, it didnt look very good. but saying that the whole car looked like it went through halfrauds

newbie question, you may not get an answer to questions like this because this has been asked so many times before. I suggest you get used to the search feature but because Im such a great guy, yes the late will fit the early model, may not meet the shut line on the leading edge against the wings (hardly noticeable imo). I've heard trying to fit an early spec to a vr6 corrado is not possible due to the bonnet struts hitting the rocker cover, again best try the search feature.

What about at different road speeds, do hydraulic systems feel heavier due to engine speeds increase (ie at 3000rpm on the motorway) or do they have no affect to feel. how does that compare to electric systems, as my understanding is at low road speeds the steering is lighter and when at higher road speeds the steering becomes a little/allot heavier (or am i talking nonesence?)

you also known as powernut, been going through your thread and its mind blowing! -
Looking at doing this to a Mk1 golf, anyone have any experience? ie how is it to drive and would it be suitable for corrado's allowing for a minimal engine bay? http://vwcaddy.bravehost.com/ http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=175625&page=10

im interested in this, whats wrong with the original peirberg pumps then? arent vdo's used in late cars ie vr6's and dont need a 2nd lift pump (under the car)

there's a wiring circuit on the relay itself. Could be a loose terminal in the fusebox if the relay is new and know to be good.
-
nice work, great write up too

plenty of features on how to do the conversion on here iirc. basically its an updated version and will allow the vr6 to run smoother and better. bit of a pig to convert from what ive seen but if your confident, give it a try. all corrados are odb1 standard.

I need some help from a Moderator, I was told there was an issue with the file not downloading correctly, looks like the tansition to the new forum had corrupted the original pdf file. So tried removing it and re-uploading a new version. only problem is that the file is too large ~1.8Mb. Any chance the file size limit could be raised for this WIKI? -
not that I can remember just very fiddly!

good luck with the heater, was a nightmare when I upgraded! nice work so far mate
-
not sure why you say the vents dont fit right, they should. To change the heater controls you need the controls, facia and bowden cables(now obsolete i think), the later heater controls are weaker though even if they do look better imo
-
id say changing the looms would be easier, less chance of something being wired up wrong too

this helped me a while back (before i got the bentley manual) http://www.corrado-club.ca/ Tech help, then bottom left section under electrical
-
i have one if you still need
-
I too have a p/s rack if you struggle.

are obd1 and 2 inlet hoses different? I have some, have a look on the link in my sig and let me know if they are any good to you. Ill ry and find the bolts too for you.

hi Kev, sorry for the delay, I was away for the weekend. You have PM for payment details
-
iirc the headlight switch is the same but the others require replacement looms or splicing. dead easy with the dash out though!
-
theres a useful feature called search, might be worth trying ;-) Theres loads of info on turboing vrs and you may even find info about porsche brakes

ok, late spec corrado so it uses the pulse signals sent from the gearbox to show road speed. check as CazzaVr suggests, if still no luck, disconnect the sensor from the gearbox (not the wire) and get someone to whatch the speedo as you use a drill to spin the rotating spigot. if all looks good on the dash it could be the gear box (unlikely) otherwise this part needs replacing...

found them out, here they are compared to the vr versions
