Not as bad as I thought then. Might have to invest. mine are mouldy. :D
-
Joby- How much did they cost? Quite an extortionate amount aren't they?
-
I'd be able to get one within a couple of days and it's only a quick job to do. No more than an hour i would imagine.
-
Does it sound like it's from one side of the car or other? I would suspect a cv joint if it is. Not the end of the world. About fifty quid from German and Swedish and an hours job to fit. :D
-
I don't know where you're from but if you fancy a trip to Sunny Scunthorpe I can get you one done where I work for £290.00 all inc. We don't have a massive profit margin in Magnex but everywhere else I've seen charge £340.00. :D
-
Magnex. Lovely subtle noise. Lovely subtle tailpipe. Faultless quality. Love it. Whatever you do, don't buy a 'Walker' pattern exhaust. It looks like a genuine one but simply doesn't fit. I spent 6 months trying to stop one knocking before giving up and buying my Magnex.

why is it always vr's or g60's what about the rest

I love my VR6 but I loved my 16valver more. There was something about having a motor that looked and drove that special but cost peanuts to keep and never let me down. I took it to Wolfsburg with over 150k on the clock. Truly never skipped a beat. Perfect. :D -
That's gorgeous. You didn't get it from anywhere Grimsby did you? There's an old boy from near me thats got one the spitting image of yours and prefers it to his '73 Ferrari Dino! :D
-
Yeah, got mine in the cubby hole too. That's the only problem with the S6, it's a bit big and ugly and the wires stick out both sides of it. That new Origin B2 has hidden wires, much smaller, nicer to look at and you can actually read the screen without the aid of a magnifying glass! :D .
-
Got an S6 myself but without the radar attachment. Love it to bits. Would rather have the Origin B2 though. Both seem to do exactly the same job but the B2 is more compact and tidier to fit. :D

Surely if you were gonna clock a car you'd clock it to something less than 140k? :?

Dearest "wheels" you've driven

Rolls Royce Silver Seraph a few weeks back. It was like driving an armchair. 8) £169000.00 new list price, this one was used and was up for £95000.00. Bargain. (And it had a rattle from the passenger door!) :D -
Lindsey Porter. It's known as a 'Porter' manual and Lindseys actually a bloke though, unfortunately.

Just been round to our local scrappy following a tip off and found they've just taken in a 1991 16valve Corrado. It's virtually complete at the moment if anybody needs anything. It's at Eva Brothers in Scunthorpe 01724-844213. Thankyou and goodnight. 8)

I had a set of 7.5x17 BK 5-spokes with 205/40/17 Yokos on my 1990 16valver. They were ET35 and caught the outer arch on the rear but I just tapped the lip back and cured it. You could get an ET40 on if you were determined but it's not a good fitment really. A 205/40/17 tyre isn't really wide enough for a 7.5 rim either and the rim will stick out further than the sidewall and get scraped every time you even look at a kerb! If you've gotta have 17s then aim for a 7x17 ET35 or 38  .

I'd be surprised if kwik fit could do you an exhaust anyway. The only pattern exhaust manufacturer to do one for the VR6 is Walker and it'll cost you £250-£300 fitted. I had one on mine for six months and never got it to fit without knocking. It was manufactured like the Volkswagen one too, with the middle and back box in one piece so you have to drop the back axle to fit it. Lovely job. Hacked mine off with a gas axe after six months and put a Magnex on. It's lovely. Fits perfect, nice sound, smashing. :D

I would invest in some new bumpstops front and rear. They don't cost much from German and Swedish and they're bound to be knackered. 8) (Your tyres should be a maximum of 215/40-17 according to my fitting lists.)

BP Ultimate, u heard of it?

'Freddie Boniface' Nice name. 8) Made me chuckle that. :D -
A simple question for an owner

Watery green stuff from VW dealer or German and Swedish. Don't use the red ATF fluid that most cars use cos it's too thick and it can cause problems. :D -
I had H&R on my 16valve and they were wonderful. My mate had Eibach fitted to his at the same time and the front sat about two inches higher than the rear so he replaced them with H&R and was a happy bunny and lived hapilly ever after :D .
-
I don't have a clue where it is mate but if it's in the clocks somewhere then I've got a set with the non digital odometer if you need any bits from them :D
-
Cracking. :D

There is a wire around the back of the stereo that often causes this problem. It's blue and white I think, and shouldn't be connected to anything on an aftermarket stereo. If it is connected to anything then the spoiler doesn't work. I don't know what it's there for but I know it can cause this problem. :D

Yeah, gorgeous that. My favorite Corrado ever. Saw it at Tatton Park a couple of years ago. That interior is perfect. Makes me weak at the knees! :D
