  1. Congrats Paul - sounds like you struck some luck with a good find - anypics.
  2. Hi Dave - Are both tow eyes there and if so are you willing to separate the lower front grille from bumper as an individual sale? Whats the condition of the rear number plate plinth too? Costs collected? - Thanks
  3. The clues are on the left ;) Re club meets - not sure on local stuff
  4. Welcome to the forum, just up the road - there are a few up here
  5. Received the greased lightning Showroom Shine a few years ago as a present - and must say its one bl**dy good product - even if a little on the pricey side. Having said that it does last ages and water beads well. Oh - and I used to use it only after washing the car .... Lol

    Top - original +1
  7. That seems to be a good find - even has VR6 parts, though we cant check if anything is actually available for real till tomorrow. Very good prices too on some stuff if its all OEM
  8. Beautiful Dave - just beautiful. Love seeing your work.
  9. Excellent, thanks for the link - very interesting. Tis indeed a lot of dosh for such a small item and gain in sun shading, obviously some one wanted one really badly.
  10. Too right..lol - but just out of interest, would like to know how rare they are - me never seen one
  11. So did anyone happen to see that third 'rare' sunvisor that went for £72 (!) - anyone got a pic of one insitu.
  12. See as many Storms (and VR6's, as you may change your mind) as you can, especailly if its one to keep long term. I fear there are few unmolested good Storms left out there (but out there they are out there, esp if you have a decent budget as you state)....and research as much info as you can, esp the basics... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?2127-quick-guide-to-storms http://wiki.the-corrado.net/technical_specs_vr6_storm.html If you need any viewing in east mid, lmk if I can help.
  13. Congrats - Looks great. So what's the little red grille badge I can see - a personal addition?

Very interesting and informative - must say. Thanks
  15. There are a wide range of VRs out there as you will soon find out. Some good and an awful lot bad. Id suggest you do a lot of research and searching the forum etc for some good info. The topic has been covered many times before. In short just get the very best condition VR you can get - it may not necessarily be a Storm and of course there are quite a number of better spec stock VRs out there too. Get your budget set, gauged by searching some of the for sale ads online etc. Yep..lol a real can of worms!
  16. Good luck, just go easy on the 4 bolts under your spoiler (2 per side) they screw into a captive nut housed in the plastic mount on the underside. If they are stuck and you are unlucky, you will very likely crack your mounts, resulting in the captive nuts and bolts just spinning. You may then have to carefully drill the head off as above. Once youve got them off, a solution (other than another unbroken mount) is to repair the mount with JB Weld (or similar) if it's bad - then drill a suitable hole in the original location for the bolt (suggest a slighlty longer new SS bolt, rather than stock) and use a SS lock nut. That way it'll be easy to undo for any future maintenance and avoid the potential further or future cracking due to a troublesome bolt.
  17. For RH ZW1 you'll need to be looking for 65mm (not 76mm) caps or stickers. Plenty of Porsche sticker suppliers on ebay.
  18. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_act_vwclassicparts.home_lang_EN_country_GB.htm Search for 535121647 - £7.15 on the classic parts section of vwheritage.com HTH
  19. Alex has created a very nice model indeed - just viewed it after downloading the solidworks file. Nice renders too BM. Shame I only use some architectural CAD and not IGES or solidworks
  20. It may be quicker to go straight to German ebay(.de) and search for what what you need there.
  21. Dinitrol RC800 does a good job for hard to reach places. http://www.dinitrol.co.uk/classic_cars.aspx Priming required for painting, but leaves a nice black finish for those many hidden areas that may not need painting. Frost online not bad.
  22. Nothing to lose - a lot of these bad start issues may simply be down to a poor connection between the plug at the end of the key ignition coil/aerial to the imm box under the drivers shelf. Try spraying a small amount of WD40 on the plug contacts then plug back in. My OBD2 fault code was also P1570 Engine Blocked. Suffered from this the first part of last year, just lived with it before I finally got stranded with a complete non start. Perfect ever since and saved the headache of someone messing uneccessarily. Worth a shot if the car meets the criteria where the issue was known.
  23. Sorry to hear that - not good. Stallion - almost forgot about them - they did a very nice rear repair job on my TVR back in '94, remember them always having some good high end cars in for repair at the the time too. Good luck
