JR (Jetex Response) are almost identical to K&N filters... only difference is the colour... ;) As to Ramair, Personally, I'd never put a foam filter anywhere near any of my cars...

Winter project for G60Renshaw!! I am now in the 24v crew
Henny replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
I'm still G60'ing and utterly hooked on the sound of 'em... 8) When both cars are finished, I'll have a G60 in the grey one and something different in the blue one, but it may still have a G60 charger on it... ;) 8) -
no o-ring, but there should be a black plastic crud shield inside it under the rotor arm... 8) Sounds to me like you've got a dodgy plug lead which is getting damp into it through broken insulation and earthing out when wet causing your mis-fire...

check the earth strap from the battery which then goes to the chassis under the battery and then onto the gearbox. If this has got green/white powder all over it, it's oxidised and needs replacing. Also check that both live and earth terminals are tight on the battery and starter/gearbox ends. After that, it could be that your ignition switch is starting to play up...

the heater matrix is ALWAYS in circuit on a Corrado. The heater controls just move air guide flaps which either put air through the matrix (heat) or straight from outside (cool)

Water pump and cam belt getting replaced...............
Henny replied to Yash's topic in Suppliers Forum
parts won't cost you more than £50 to £60 if you go to Euro or GSF... 8) £100 labour only's still not a bad price to be honest... you're looking about 2 to 3 hours to do the waterpump and cam belt... 8) -
you'd have to call around 'em... I've used HIC and FLUX with 2 cars in the past... IIRC putting my 1.4Astra merit onto my G60 insurance cost me about £200 for the year fully comp. 8)

'cos steelers put massive increases on their prices... Stealth don't charge the earth and do a blindingly good job... 8)

Water pump and cam belt getting replaced...............
Henny replied to Yash's topic in Suppliers Forum
I've never heard of a cam chain breaking on a valver... it's only a tiny little chain which drives the inlet cam off the exhaust cam which is driven by the cam belt, so there's sod all strain put on it... Like I say, I'd only change it if you've got the inlet manifold off anyway.... 8) If that's £100 including labour, that's not a bad price... 8) Parts to do: cambelt (duh!) belt tensioner P/S belt (it's gotta come off, so you may as well do it!) Get the mechanic to check the tightness of the crank bolt while he's in there too... 8) -
yup, you can insure a second car on a single policy with quite a few insurance companies... 8) I'll be doing it shortly on my MKII golf and my Corrado G60 so that I can get rid of the golf. I'll then be insuring J-DUB again when I get the new engine in... ;) 8)

Water pump and cam belt getting replaced...............

what? the cam chain? It's about £12 for the chain (IIRC) and a fair chunk of labour... (inlet manifold off, rocker cover off, cams out, re-time it all and re-assemble using new gaskets...) Not difficult, just time consuming... :| -
'ello and welcome to The Forum... 8)

that's quite a big job there Supercharged, Personally I'd wait until you need to do the headgasket, or at least the tappets need changing before attacking a Valver's chain... 8) -
Seat has stopped it's association with Brembo for the New Ibiza Coupra and has put "SEAT SPORT" calipers on instead. They're still 4 pot, and still 305x28 disks, but they're a different design caliper (obvious when you look at 'em if you know the Brembo's shape) and they're now 5x100...

I found that with the MKIV calipers on the rear I could finally pull a good handbrake turn, where as with the original (MKII) ones, it'd just make the rear suspension dip slightly... :|

no idea, I think it just involved cutting one part of the lamp mounts in the bumper... Use the search, as there is a thread (I think by Dubster82) where there are instructions on how to do this.... This then allows you to use the later fogs and indicators with an early bumper which will sit exactly as they would in a late bumper. AFAIK, there's no way to make the older style lamps sit flush like the later ones... :|

No. If your car came with the smaller tank, the larger one won't fit due to the boot floor being different. If you have a G60 with the larger tank, then a VR6 tank will fit in as it's the same, but there would be no point in changing the tank...

you'll find that Hammerite is oil based and doesn't like some of the wheel cleaning products about. You'll also find that if you're painting FRONT calipers with hammerite, that it will discolour after a heavy braking session as it's not too temperature stable. The best stuff I've found is the Halfords own brand brake caliper paint. It's a single tin (none of this 2 stage expensive crud) but you do need to leave it for a while to set. My rear MKIV calipers have a fantastic finish on them and soooo nearly match my Brembo fronts... 8)

check out THIS thread. There should be every answer you need in there... 8)

£12 for a large one, down to £8 for a small one from Trimsport... 8) (and £10 for the G60 badge!)

open the fuse box, shine a torch at the fuses, find the one which has blown (probably a red or blue one towards the right of the fusebox) and replace it with one that's not blown... 8)

Bumpers (both front and back) are interchangable between all Corrados. There are differences though, mainly with the trimline around the middle of the bumper... on the early bumpers it curves up and over the top of the bumper at the wheel arches (both front and rear) where as on the later bumpers it just fades out in a straight line. The front bumper is also set up to take the early fog/indicator setup, but can be modified to take the later ones with no major problems... 8)
