  1. nope, it's more likely telling you to check your oil level... ;) The only warning beeper on a Corrado is the low oil pressure warning.
  2. http://www.chipwizards.co.uk Wayne Schofield is your man, although it's pretty pointless doing it unless you've done some modifications to your engine IMHO...
  3. mmmm.... body kitted Ford Cougar... :pukeleft:
  4. Give us an idea on price, 'cos I can see my new C getting some new springy bits soon... ;) 8)
  5. I'd be up for one of these... ( I go to enough shows to make it worth it! )

    Shrink!

Great bit of 'shopping there... 8) Anyone remember the Orange Beetle that had been done like this which used to be at loads of the VW shows? Had "Two litres of Orange Squash" written accross the bottom of the number plate... 8)

    FMIC Pics.

mmm, Bar-tek pipes and hoses... 8) Looks good... you noticed much difference in how she performs yet?

    Therm-o-stat

get hold of a MKII golf, or 88-92 Passat Haynes manual... they have the same engine as your Corrado and will have a step by step guide to how to do this... 8)

    Dash lights

Also check the dimmer switch... give it a damn good waggle as they sometimes loose their connection and make the lights go out... ;)
  10. you're in the right place then... 8) Welcome to The Forum... (remind me never to tailgate you! )
  11. OK Boys and girls, let's keep this civil or it's gonna be another locked thread... :nono: :brickwall:
  12. it's the full unit. You can't seperate the lens from the back. 8)

    Dash colours

dinkus, That's one way of ensuring no-one will drink & drive... If I had to get in there after a few beers I know I'd be ill... :pukeright:  :|
  14. That's one of your best answers yet Mat! 8) I'm with you on the front brake bias... the only cars I can think of which have a rear brake bias are dragsters! (does a parachute qualify for the term "brakes" ?!? :? ) "something I was told by a mechanic friend of mine several years ago" erm, I know some mechanics I wouldn't let service my pushbike... Just 'cos one guy thinks he knows something, doesn't make him correct, but it also doesn't mean that all porsche drivers are like that... I work with a guy in our IT dept who's had a couple of Porsches now and still loves my Corrado (and his Clio sport 172! ;) ) Admittedly there are some utter f@*&wits who own/drive Porsches, but the same can be said about just about every type of car available... The 80s image of the typical Yuppy with the braces and the 911 is (unfortunately) still in most peoples subconcious when you mention Porsche drivers... Shame, 'cos they're nice cars... 8)
  15. Why does that give me mental images of you with a manic grin and a large lump hammer "assisting" the exhaust to fit into the correct place?!? :? ;)
  16. yup, that's what I was asking... 8) (sorry if it didn't make sense, I've been up since 3 this morning and have had less than 12hours sleep in the last 4 days... :| ) In that case you need to get hold of someone with VAG-COM to plug it into your car and find out what the error code the ABS brain is giving out means as it could be anything electrical now... :?
  17. front bumpers are around £700 new (guess why my car was written off needing a new front wing, bumper and steering rack, all 3 are around £700 each for new genuine bits... :( ) Makes the rear one look almost cheap at that price... :|
  18. have you cleaned the wiring plug as well as the one on the ECU? Unplugging the ECU while the power is connected shouldn't blow it up unless you shorted something while doing it (difficult and unlikely) 8)
  19. plenty of lubrication and prayer... :| ;)
  20. also check that the lock pulls on the doors aren't screwed down to far. When the car is locked, they should sit slightly proud of the collar they go through the door card in. If they don't, and sit too flush, then they can cause the locks to think that someone's pulling on them and unlock the car... :|
  21. split pin and castlated cap. Don't overtighten the nut though else you'll cook the bearing! Also, don't forget to re-check it about a week after doing them so that you know they're not too tight/loose... 8)
  22. Majik, don't re-use the rear bearings, they're cheap enough that you can replace 'em when you do the disks... 8) Make sure you've got some good quality grease handy to lube up the bearings, and copperslip to do the edges of the new pads to stop squeeling... ;)
  23. about time... looks good... 8)
  24. Louie Lungbubble, the springy thingy in the bottom of the tailgate which lifts the lid by an inch or so when you press the open button... ;) You should NEVER try to fix/modify the gas rams/struts unless you have a death wish... :|
