Bournemouth/Poole Meet Saturday 20th April
Rams replied to Rams's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
I am and Craig and just organising with Fay a suitable meeting point so be great if your available to ride up along with us. Do you want to give me a call tomorrow evening and we can conference call with Craig and sort out our plans. ---------- Post added at 11:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 PM ---------- You snooze and you loose! Lol Will be organising another, suggestions have been a meet and BBQ in the new forest and if your coming to Stanford we will probably discuss a meeting date? Thanks for the comments buddy, she's getting there, not a show winner by any means but I'm proud of what's been achieved so far. I will take you for a spin, the charger is a good laugh -
Will snap a picture tomorrow, it doesn't even have a heel mark/indent at all. Re national day, will check date of friends wedding which maybe the same day/weekend... Glad she's all back together, nice satisfying job powder coating stuff! Just put the painted badge on and think it makes a nice change...
-
I do, it's also about 4 months old and in very good order- are you going to the Stanford day?
-
Hi there! How are things? National day?? Not sure on that one, what are the dates and location? Also how are things going with your beast? Thanks for the phrase matey Found some black sun visor clips as the paint was rubbing off mine and looked stupid. Replaced a few more screws with the correct ones and just have a few more bits to do with the under tray on the driver side. Need to change the front calliper colour, maybe black or silver to tone it down. I bought another set of floor mats from TPS and this time the passenger side had the Corrado emblem as well as the driver side. Normally just found the emblem on the driver side only?? Bonnet prop rubber fitted, bought the correct screws that hold the fan guard to the slam panel. Glove box screws all now in. I know there's still plenty of room to lower the car but not sure if I should try and bring it down a bit more?? Just a little update
-
Hi mate, have you tried CCR Racing in Denmark? I will keep an eye out for you also so if I see something I will let you know. If you need details I have an email address for them. Cheers
-
New ride height, swapped the front spacers for rear and bought a load of different trim screws I was missing and the bonnet prop round black rubber to stop the prop fowling the slam. Few bits still to arrive from TPS but had a sit down in there office and went thought them all to see what's available and what's obsolete. Need some extra bits which VW Herritage show as in stock. I also had a spare VW badge which I have colour coded, had some rattle can spray made up and will use this to take care of some some chips by applying some paint in a dish and dabbing on with one of those tiny brushes.

Parts for sale. Bumpers, interior trim and vr6 head.
Rams replied to Mark261288's topic in Parts for Sale
Where are you based my friend? The rear bumper and tail gate and possibly front bumper are of interest. Cheers Rams -
Not entirely sure but have you tried looking at it and seeing how it works, can you try and twist it back in or push it back together whilst someone blips the fob and piece it together? It would also be worth asking who's got one anyway and that way your bound to fix it. Can see it being much at all. The rod should move once the vac is triggered, just a thought occurred, could you not plug the line to bypass the petrol cap lock to at least get your car secure?
-
The orange coloured vac line that operates the central locking vacuum has a t connection up near where the grommits come out of the door into the car. There's also the line in the boot, right hand side of boot behind the carpet in a small box which is the main pump. If you hear air whooshing then its a vac leak I'd say mate. Have you been doing anything with the car / wires etc that might have caused the t connection to pop out?

Lol, It really is a pleasure to drive, even when your not planting it and just gradually building speed it just feels so different and don't need to shift down either it just picks up and away she goes. I'm sure if I went short runner and charge cooler the throttle response would be even better! It's got to be my next purchase- I'm addicted!! My little meet that I organised went down well, feeling ever more inspired after seeing the likes of Harrier and Sub cools cars that I have to finish getting all the interior back in and to take care of some niggy bits. Cogitating about putting handles back in and I think I will find a black plastic number plate surround. After debating, I think they look nicer not colour coded. I'm also thinking about getting an american front bumper as im not happy with how my repeaters are just stuck on top and it doesnt look smart so either a proper job insetting them or finding a US bumper and doing it properly. I may even make them day light running lamps which would change with indication to blink?? I like the low down flash in the bumper so I want to retain this mod but just make it smarter. I intend to keep everything else smooth but if I delete the handles I think I will go for Audi ones. You have to try these things to know what you like. My good friend Kev will see if he can get the poppers working better than they are first. Driver side is ok but passenger side is not. It still opens but you have to struggle a bit getting you fingers in without scratching the paint with your nails and its ****ing me off to be honest. All that money spent and I can't even open the door properly!

Uploaded one of the dyno runs to youtube under 'Supercharged VR6 Corrado Storm' with some spitting little flames at the end. End result 332.4 BHP @ 6562 RPM and 274.1 1b ft @ 5064 RPM. It's like I've got a new car, loving it right now

Rams replied to Rams's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Sorry you couldn't make it buddy, I will organise another meet soon. It all went really well and thanks to those who were able to make it and Faye and Darren who travelled a fair distance to be there. Nice to meet you all and I will wait for those with better cameras than mine to post some pictures. It was a beautiful day sun shine wise and a relaxing meet, so I'm chuffed Rams -
Bournemouth/Poole Meet Saturday 20th April
Rams replied to Rams's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Good evening I decided to take a drive out to Badbury Rings this evening, to check on the gravel access road to see how bad it was after hearing that it wasn't in the best of conditions and although I made it, I think it won't be suitable for low cars, so lets simply meet at the Fox and Hounds http://www.fox-hounds-pub-dorset.co.uk/find-us.php in Wimborne at 12.30pm this Saturday 20th April. We can sit down outside, have a drink/lunch and a good old natter and suggest a drive out to one or two places afterwards that I have in mind? Maybe The New Forest or instance? See how it goes really.... So lets have a show of.... Well can't say hands but who's still attending? I've been receiving text messages saying they are warning me that the polish and wax is coming out so great to hear! Looks like people are coming dressed to impress! Forecast still looks good too people -
All for sale, these were removed from my 95 Storm and I'm now OBD2 so no longer required. All in good order. All working when removed £50 for ECU delivered £25 MAF delivered £20 inlet pipe delivered More to follow

There's a rado on Pistonheads, its red with black Recaros for £1300. If you think the seats are probably worth £600/£800 so the car won't cost much and I've got a standard leather interior that could go back in so you could sell the car on with full leather and that could be worth £1500/£2000 so you would may even cover the re trim too. If you can get the old black leather off the Recaros, someone may even buy that if theirs is damaged?

Second picture just looks perfect, efforts must be doubled! Lol

Perfect! Craig said he's not sure if he's working but will try and make it. Jason is coming and I will have to get out the wax to ensure it's up to your high standards! Be great to meet you too. I'd be happy to organise more meets and get a bit more organised as there's quite a few rados locally. Maybe come to some arrangement with a pub as a meeting venue etc. Hopefully we can get a few more on board. I also know a few photographers that would kindly give up their time to take some professional photos. But that can come later if we get the numbers up. -
Bournemouth/Poole Meet Saturday 20th April

I know the feeling well buddy hoping the car will be ready! Be good if you can make it, there are some nice Corrado's that usually attend What are you having done? -
Hi all I propose a meet next Saturday at Badbury Rings, http://www.hiddendorset.org/index.php/hd/gem/hd1141.html. We could get some nice pictures with the excellent views. Thinking Mid Day and then off for a drive around wimborne Poole and Bournemouth to settle somewhere for a bite to eat. Perhaps the Fox and Hounds in Wimborne? Nice big parking area and outside seating. I've checked the forecast and it seems good so throwing this out there to see who's available? Let me know folkes Rams

Thanks Alex, also you were very much included in my thanks for 'help and advise along the way'. She's running the belt you supplied me! It felt more supple than the one I bought with the rest of the kit. Just a bit gutted its rained all day. Craig, I will collect the papers to check up on the torque but I'm running 205/40/17 continentals on 8.5 rims with 25 mm adaptors on rear and 30 on front currently. Really 30's all round will perhaps be the best for my setup. If anyone wants to swap 30mm RH adaptors for my 25mm ones please give me a shout ---------- Post added at 5:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:35 PM ---------- I best speak to Vince, thanks for putting the link up, I did see it a while ago and have been looking at the wavetrac LSD and they are approx 900 dollars. I've taken on board that Quaife is not the best route and to get the gear box out isn't too bad a job and at the same time I can either do the G60 final drive or just make sure all gearing is in good condition before re fitting it all and put in a stronger clutch. would anyone know if the Racelogic can be fitted with the gearbox in situ?
-
The D90's will probably be up for sale soon if my friend doesn't want to borrow them... I just prefer the ride feeling on seventeens. So if anyone is interested keep an eye out on the for sale section. Will be including the adaptors too. Have to check these events dates as I want to get organised and actually meet more like minded people as the people I've met through here have all turned out to be really decent people. Looking forward to surprising a few cars that think they're all that! Must invest in the go pro video cam
-
Speaking of tyres, what do you think? Fitted them earlier today. I think the rears could come out a bit more, plenty of room or for the time being, put the 30mm spacers on rear and 25 on front. Currently they are the other way round. I've already had someone come up to me to say how nice the wheels were and lip read a few people saying the same when looking at the car driving by so very chuffed. Car needs another wash and the suspension adjusted a bit here and there. I want a nice stance but I don't want it slammed and a touch higher than I used to have it. I actually prefer something in the middle as the car drives so much nicer when it's not too low.
