  1. Chaps, please help, I'm at the workshop fitting the charger and need to know if the Forge dump valve/recirc valve plumbs into the fuel reg pipe and make a t piece? Nearly there now!!
  2. Kev! Your a legend! Tyres being ordered up as we speak. Van insured also.... They look great buddy, thanks for all your hard work and I know you've got loads of your own stuff to do so I appreciate it immensely! You are 'The Best' man when ever that day comes! I feel lifted now. I know the boost gauge isn't your cup of tea but it will do for now and will add to the whole ambionce in the words of Mr Flanagan! My mechanic said, your car is driving out tonight, he's got clearance from his wife that he will be back late so if these hoses come then I will be driving home. I can then get these tyres fitted on Friday or Saturday and another major transformation complete. A very happy Rams
  3. Sounds like your getting busy with the car, I will keep an eye for you as local in Bournemouth. Looks tidy
  4. Good on you, looks beautiful and enjoy it when you've got it insured. Result everything is working too.
  5. Have you tried swapping the front to back and vice versa just to further gauge what adaptors you need? Are they 8.5 j? Plus are you running 215 35? I may have a spare adaptor and will have a look for you which maybe 25 or 20 mm. I have been looking for them amongst all my crap and if I find them I will give you a shout.
  6. These bits turned up this morning and just waiting in for the hoses to arrive. The vent hole needs a bit of sanding down as the gauge is just a bit too tight for the hole.
  7. Is this the part you need? Or the actual power plug that attaches to the back of the fuse board? This is also available from TPS as I bought one of them too but don't have a picture of it. It's in my door card at the moment as I attached a spade connector to get it rigged up but wanted the proper plug. It's on a to do list, but can snap a pic later today when at the car if that helps but both purchased from TPS. You can buy the repair wires also. The complete loom is available from eBay Germany, just check you get the red plug end and not the white one which is for an earlier car.
  8. It's in my van, I will measure it and come back to you. You can buy mine for £25 posted if you want?
  9. When mine arrived it was too short and needed an extension/adaptor. I would think the cats are the same in the golf VR and rado.
  10. Ok, very nearly there, Charger and belt now fitted, its been on and off several times ensuring a perfect fit. We were a bit confused with the belt orientation but after we tried it, we realised there was too much slack on the belt so removed the headlight to make it easier and corrected the belt and now its right. The meth kit won't take long to plumb in, the samcos again straight forward, fuel pump quite simple but all ready to just unscrew out and replace with new. Lambda to plug in and fit. The mani is back on as you can see with new gaskets. Had to order a fair bit of pipe work and clips and adapters so I will be able to still retain the 4 inch MAF, providing it fits? Also ordered a small CNC machined part to close up the isv pipe spout on the inlet hose. If the pipe work arrives Monday then realistically, Tuesday is the day where we can fire her up. Bit nervous about it all, but I have faith! I have moments of excitement and once the long journey to Stealth is over, the smiles will come I'm sure. The 25th is the day out to Vince.

    Fuel Lines

Will have a closer look on the rail, thanks for that. Now you've explained which is flow and return I just need to marry the fuel rail. If anyone is near their engine bay, would be great just to see which one on the fuel rail is flow and which is return.

    Fuel Lines

Good evening Trying to figure out how the fuel pipes should be, when I replaced mine to the braided ones, I got a bit confused as it didn't start or run and I thought I had one of them plumbed in the wrong way and tried a few different combos but it tuned out the fuel pump wasn't re connected after doing some work. Looking at the bay today, the lines that come from the bulkhead clipped into the slots, the top connection goes to the lower fuel rail and vice versa but the hoses cross over. The car has worked ever since which was a about a year and a half ago so assume its correct but it just doesn't look right. Can anybody kindly confirm how they connect? Cheers
  13. Could someone kindly post the belt route for the charged vr6 please?
  14. Really like the last shot, looks great
  15. Small update Vent gauge and RH centre caps arrived today. Ordered all new pipe work to relocate MAF. Quite an expensive expertise to re route this pipe work but that should be it! Famous last words.....
  16. Have ordered a new boost gauge from ARZ, oe looking/matching existing dial faces. Also bought a new gear knob from there too. Mine hasn't yet been changed! Can you believe that. I've been mean to take it off and get it trimmed but when they are new they have a mat finish. Then I can get one of them re trimmed so I have a leather one and an alcantara one. I'd like to do a fully trimmed alcantara steering wheel, I love the stuff! You should always have clean hands anyway! Lol Finally, ordered a new design 52mm hole cut dash vent to take the new boost gauge. Looks very oem. SWG are selling them as 'new in'. Will get some pics up when they arrive. Also dropped off the new drive belt and had a quick look at the car pipe work so I'm working on having that sorted by the weekend if not before.
  17. I took that all in, perfectly explained. Most grateful. I should call you sir really, what does WOT stand for? Educate me please. A punt would suggest Wide open something?? Cheers
  18. Thank you chief, in simple terms, what are the benefits of the larger MAF? More air flow adjustment? Having a reducer on the extra long pipework, are there disadvantages using adapters or should one be looking for an equal track length/termination? Ie not stepping sizes.
  19. If I relocate the MAF and filter away from the charger to passenger side, do I just use my 3 inch MAF and buy a suitable filter or is it more beneficial for me to run the larger 4 inch MAF? The 4 inch pipe would probably be too big to run under the bumper to the other side...
  20. Found a nice set of RH polished centre caps on German eBay so should be here soon and will be the icing on the cake for the ZW1's. The mapping is now booked in for the 25th, I don't think I can watch it screaming away on the rollers. Can the rollers damage the tyres? Just wondering if I should fit the new wheels after the map?
  21. Thanks chaps, going to head down to the car tomorrow as the new drive belt has arrived and have a good look at relocating the MAF. Appreciate your replies. I really have learned so much and still much more to learn. Thanks for the pictures you sent me Craig, big help.
  22. I have been using a Miltec decat pipe and recently removed to replace with the dub sport one I bought along with all the supercharger gear so will be selling mine. Wanted one with a flexi as the 6 branch manifolds are prown to breaking where they joing to the cat/decat. We couldn't get the lambda sensor out either. Sounds great and comes with the adaptor pipe ready to install.
  23. Also, when I went to obd2 I did not change the fuel pressure regulator, I kept the 4 bar obd1 on. Do I need to uprate the fuel reg to a performance style type one? Bobby ran a different regulator but then again, he had a short runner etc so I was never sure if I can just use what I have?
  24. This is how Bobby had it installed and what I was trying to replicate. From what Vince is saying, this setup will cause me problems. Down to the proximity of the MAF and the charger. I do now recall Bobby saying it wasn't a perfect solution and really if he located the MAF it may run better? Hopefully he can jump in on the conversation. The charger has a pipe that has a 90 degree bend, this is why I made the hole bigger as the size of pipe wouldn't fit through the CC hole. The TT Maf is then horizontal more or less and the filter on the end. I'm not sure yet how the BOV Riggs up, I'm back with the car on Wednesday and once I know where my pipework is going I can probably work it out. I've also got the Stealth oil catch tank and I think that's all quite straight forward. Have been reading up I'm not fully understanding your reply my friend, do you think this setup will be ok?
