If your going forge engine and charge cooler then stick with the 80mm I'd say, that's what bobbys ran. Big power! If your going down the route I took with spacer/rod/head bolts and a fully sorted cooling and oil system then 90mm will be more than ample. Happy to have a go at answering any questions you have. The new water temperature sensor was fitted today so that's one item off the fault code list, the lambda said intermittent fault but when he looked at it calculating/adapting he said its working fine. The battery displayed low voltage, on the run which he said normally happens when you disconnect the ecu which he did earlier but it it appeared on the run. Plus the obd2 port needs sorted ASAP. I was a bit embarrassed when he said the port is not working which was the first thing he went to! Typically replied its been working before. I need to go back through the thread and find the wires which control the port and see what's going on. I've got so much excess wiring behind the fuse board I'm contemplating removing the loom altogether and brake servo and labelling what's connected now and deleting everything redundant and re wrapping the loom. It will be neater and tighter that way. Then I may as well remove the dash again as the trimmer needs to fix something and he needs it out of the car to work on the section towards the back. Maybe a challenge to do it before I return to Stealth?! Taking the high lights of today at least, Vince says, can I have the keys? Yeah sure, tried to explain the immobiliser and he said he will be fine and was off to the car, I said to my friend, looking at him through the big window, will he be able to get in? He then tried pushing the fob remote and then turned round and laughed whilst were watching him. Obviously no door handles but it was quite amusing. Thanks for all the support chaps,

80 mm will probably be too much but it depends on your mods and cooling. I bought a new 90 mm pulley as my charger came with an 80mm to lower the boost. Once he knew I had change the rod bolts and head bolts and the engine spacer he felt more comfortable. I could do with some extra forms of cooling. The sound today was just incredible, it was ridiculously loud!

She's looking good, they were all looking good to be fair. I'm telling you, I was actually bricking it when I heard it roaring away on the rollers! I was right next to it winding up and had to walk away. Booked in again for the 11th so need to buy a new bosch MAF sensor and explore my wiring for the OBD reader. I haven't got far to trace.

Mines an obd2 MAF so unless one of them has been converted to obd2? Looks like today was a bit of bad luck, the obd port wouldn't communicate with his computer so he rigged up his own wires to my fuse board and that sorted it. I almost had to come home when he said he's sorted a way to do it and i was happy but I have a fault somewhere with my wiring from board to obd2 port. Then I thought I was home and dry and once he showed me he can't get re full MAF reading and therefore he can't complete the map. He had 312 bhp at .9 boost which is 13 psi I believe. So he said once the new MAF is fitted and we start the meth we should see a bigger increase in BHP. Maybe somewhere around 340? The next date available is re 11th April. Once I replace the MAF it may not run so well as its been mapped on the existing which one of the sensors is bent. Or he said if its runs ok then fair enough but I've got to stay off boost and cruise home. So my plan of pushing it a bit is out the window. Oh well. Have been impressed with Vince so far.

Called up and there's no where close enough branch wise. But thanks for heads up. I called my local place and they checked everywhere. I've seen a few storms here, Corrado land

Hey, here at Stealth an Vince said my MAF is faulty, its only reading upto a certain figure on the first run . He's tried getting a new one but none available till tomorrow. Would anyone be near and have a working obd2 MAF I could buy?? Long shot but would save me a return journey. Cheers Rams

Thanks buddy, just giving her a clean and vac and last few checks and setting off early, looking forward to the trip! Will give you a shout next week for a curry.

Noticed today that the thin plastic tube that runs from the washer tank to the inlet for the meth was deformed and split. It's deformed with the heat so replaced the pipe with new and routed it behind the heat wrap in the bulk head and so far so good. Before it came across and into the inlet and looked to be quite a tight fit so have left some excess so its not under tension. I've got a length of heat wrap that came off my old my lambda sensor so will use that as an extra measure. There is quite a bit of heat being given off the 6 Branch, even though its wrapped. Stereo re fitted and sound deadened the boot floor, the stuff was quite easy to use and will be doing the doors next.

I would contact TPS and give them your reg/chassis number and ask them for the part number then if you want to buy it cheaper from euro etc they can order the one you need via the part number. I would give you the part number but mine is an obd2 lambda.

It didn't fit properly so had to shave it down

That's a much better way really, saves the longer pipe travelling from the DV all the way to the front reg. I will re locate it. Cheers

It's the c30 94 Rotrex with a 90mm pulley. I will take along the 80mm one just Incase we can use it. I do have a Quaife box but its not installed yet, wanted to get everything running first and see how it goes and then look at traction. I'm really considering what to do here, I may just keep things sensible or go the whole 9 yards, bit like my personality. Lol There are a few things I'd like to change with pipe work and need to remove the cable tie holding the meth controller but generally its all nicely in place. I think re locating the battery for more space will be on the cards. Going to try and fit the boost gauge this afternoon, be interesting to see what's its running now.

It started ages ago, off and on and then stayed on constantly and it's quite annoying. So if you link a wire between the plug connections and then see if the light stops flashing then its probably the tank itself as its cured it for me today. I even bought a new temp sensor switch just incase and my guy said trust me its the tank and we replaced it and light stopped. I'm not really expecting too much, when I change the engine and the way it's cooled etc then I will be looking at the 400's, till then, 300 plus will do nicely.

Well, I picked her up today, went for a drive to TPS and picked up a new expansion tank as mine was faulty, that's fixed the low level light issue as when we linked the plug wires the light went off so we knew it was the tank at fault. It's been raining and therefore I have planted my foot at all, I'm kind of driving it like I'm running it in and it feels like it just wants to go, i mean really go! I should probably take it easy as the injectors are standard and the meth fuse pulled till I arrive at Stealth on Monday. The horn doesn't sound right, I kept pressing it and then the fuse blew. So maybe when the horns were repositioned there's been a fault. Had to move them for the filter. Hopefully it's something simple. I've got a fog light bulb out. Plus the alarm keeps going off. Hopefully something I can resolve tomorrow. Must be one of the switches? Need to get the stereo gear back in and give the car a good wash. Here's a pic of the install. Overall neat and tidy. This is the chap that's done all the hard work, Chubby.. He's done a great job and wants drive it when it's mapped.

Thanks for the tip, I haven't actually picked up the car yet. I went to watch the Micky Flanagan show at the BIC tonight, he's one funny guy! During the interval I check my phone and its' a message saying she's ready dude! So tomorrow I can have my first test drive. Also a good friend of mine told me that he's got 2 weeks starting Monday so he's going to saddle up with me. Tyres ordered from Nigel, top man for sorting that for me and next week I can get them fitted. ---------- Post added at 1:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:21 AM ---------- Cheers mate, I will take a few videos but the sound may not be so good. I need to call the insurance company tomorrow and get the charger added, I will be wearing a tight belt! Lol Craig thinks when it's mapped it will probably be around 330/340 BHP? Time will tell but really I don't care, I just want to have some fun driving it. It's what I've always wanted. Worked like an Egyptian donkey to pay for it all! Which reminds me, I don't know how much my bill is yet for all that work?!?! I should probably spend most of tomorrow morning sat down!

Great results there! Your bound to be more satisfied this way and seeing it transform which it already is. Could be a good idea to keep conditioning the leather, even if you condition them, get some warmth into them and massage them then condition again and wrap them in cling film. Sounds very doggy! Keep up the good work, the guys on here will help you and keep you motivated, people like nothing more than seeing progress especially when it's your own hard work. Good luck for the new arrival

Modified the inner arch plastics which didn't fit when the arches got pulled, managed to fit the splash shields and cut the other plastic up-stand section to cover the area where the filter is. It's been one of those jobs that I've wanted do do for a while. Fitted the pulley guard and engine plastics. Needed a bracket for the meth pump, so couldn't finish tonight which was a shame. The line is plumbed into the inlet now and once we get the bracket on the pump install it's finished. Raised the car another 15mm, so we don't have troubles getting on the rolling road. I can adjust things once the wheels are on which will be next week.

The decat measure 50.5cm long, without adaptor. The adaptor is under some stuff in my van which I will find and measure and reply back. It's made by Miltek, decent make and it does make a good sound. Just can't get the Lambda sensor out but it's working. With time or perseverance it will come out I'm sure as its only been in there for about a year or so. Rams

She's charged!! Started her up and idled beautifully, revving up with that sweet sound and seems faultless! I've just come home to drop my van back and getting a lift back. We just have to install the meth kit and put the engine plastics back on and I can take her for a spin. Even driving off the ramp, you could just tell there's some power going on under there. I'm really over the moon and a big relief that its working and running. The workshop where the car is, there's a couple of other garages as they deal with scoobies and fast cars and he even said that thing sounds the dogs bollocks! I have a smile from ear to ear writing this and found some time today having a 205 40 tyre fitted to my ZW1's that I picked up today from Kev and it didn't look too stretched so I will be ordering them first thing tomorrow and will get them fitted on Saturday. There's just a limited tyre choice with 215 35. Then it's stealth Monday and I can try it out. Still need to fit the boost gauge and reading up last night it seems the back of the clock cluster is where the T is needed and then it can come into the dash vent and pick up power from the fuse board as its all local. Maybe tap into dimmer switch to adjust brightness? There's still lots to do but the major hurdles are over. Kev- earlier I wasn't really paying attention to the wheels, my mind was elsewhere but they do look spot on, big respect. If its not too late I will swing by on the way home.

This is the 40 year old Russian tool used to make the hole for inlet/meth
-
That would be great buddy, that was my task today to find one. I may not need the adaptor but if I can take it just incase and if I don't use it I will drop it back to u. I am also going to try a spare 205 40 just to gauge it and can collect bits when ever your ready. Is anyone at yours today? Top man!
-
Well, had to call it a day, nearly 2am and were all tired and rather than rushing we decided to finish all tomorrow. The 4 inch air filter and MAF will not be used, simply a space issue. So I now need to find a 3 inch filter azap. Whilst I'm here, thanks to all for help and support along the way guys!

Thanks Matt, its a great atmosphere down here, a couple of pals helping out, nearly finished in the engine bay, had to adapt a few hoses, manly around the oil catch tank, without butchering the body work! Taken some time but its good for now. Soon we can get the car lifted and put the new Lamba sensor in and connect up the MAF and filter pipework extension and fill her up with fluids and oil and it will be turn key time! We've used an ancient tool to cut the hole in the inlet for the meth, its designed for cutting into leather and one whack with the tool and a lovely hole! Used the devils own seal part for the silicone hose. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Chaps, please help, I'm at the workshop fitting the charger and need to know if the Forge dump valve/recirc valve plumbs into the fuel reg pipe and make a t piece? Nearly there now!!
