  1. I'd be very sceptical about this being genuine given the past track record of this show and others like it. I remember a barn find featured on a certain UK program being driven into the barn and having crap from the rafters brushed onto it and all sorts of agricultural stuff piled up around it... Then again there's nothing rarer than eBay rarity is there?
  2. I've got AP coilovers on my daily which is a Seat Alhambra  and the ride quality is fine. Obviously the handling isn't a major concern (although it is remapped as well and quite funny how quickly it can move along a twisty B road) so it was just getting it lowered on a budget. I've got Weitecs on the Corrado and again it's pretty low but for me the ride quality is excellent. Handling wise it's decent enough for the way I drive, I'll never be doing track days in it and above everything else it's mainly about the aesthetics. I've taken quite a few people out who've commented how good the ride quality is considering how low it is. Having said that though I went out in my mates ebay coilover equipped MKII and that was horrendous. It was like being pushed down a cobbled street in a tin bath.
  3. Around £200 mate? I'd agree with this. I only replaced mine because I wanted the Brembo look (which is sad I know) but if I'm honest they actual braking doesn't seem to me to be vastly different with the Brembos and certainly not worth the massive outlay but like I said - I done it for the looks more than anything. If I was to do it again I'd just paint the TT calipers red
  4. Last thing I want is to pop a goose so yeah I suppose £35 is money well spent in prevention
  5. Let's start a cartel - whack yours up for £300, I'll list mine for £250 and the punters will think they're getting a bargain. Slash yours to £250 in the November sales and the ones that missed out on mine will think they're saving £50 and steam right in!
  6. White spirit mate. I'm halfway through an engine bay detail myself and using white spirit in a spray bottle - it just runs off. The tougher parts I've agitated with a toothbrush and it comes off fine
  7. Yeah thirty five notes though Matt and cos I'm brassic I was trying to do it on the cheap... ;)
  8. Sold! Nice one cheers gents. It is a complete kit with carriers, spacers, hoses etc so ready to bolt on so that gives me something to go on :)
  9. Right firstly apologies for the thread - I hate these types of thread myself but... I've got a complete Audi TT 312mm brake setup I need to sell and I have absolutely no idea what I should be asking for it price wise. I don't want to give it away but don't want to get no interest cos I've priced myself out of the market. Could anyone be kind enough to give me a rough idea on what I should list it for please? Cheers :)
  10. Damn. I've got boxes of Jubilee clips in loads of different sizes  If you could whack a list up Jim it would really be most appreciated mate
  11. Pic of one fitted in this thread Phil http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88863&highlight=Lounge
  12. Just a quick one - is there any advantage to using the specific Samco hose clips or will the Screwfix stainless Jubilees do the job just as well?
  13. This is the exact reason I didn't buy one...
  14. My old ones sorned and last MOT ran out May 2012 :(
  15. Cheers James that's nice of you to say mate
  16. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/291275550005?nav=SEARCH Wish I hadn't wasted money on my Brembos now 😢
  17. Yeah I still like the RHs but just always hankered after a set of RSs - the ultimate wheel for a VW in my opinion.
  18. Mine belonged to a friends mum who bought it new, then him, then he sold it to a complete twat that ran it into the ground. When I got it Halfway through The day she went wearing all her lovely rare and NOS bits :( Kid who bought it ruined it and apparently sold it to Storm to become "something really special". That was about 7 or 8 years ago now and it's not been seen since :(
  19. You may be right about the G60 thing - mine was raspy when you pulled away without sounding like a chavved up Saxo, but the thing I liked was how unobtrusive it was on a run. Unlike the time I took a stripped out Beetle that was running Dellorto 40s and a Stinger to Santa Pod
  20. Metallic Schwartz Blau is the colour you want if you want a rare colour that's not rare cos it's foul  As above 16v G60 limited is probably the rarest but they only came in four door which is a shame. Yep Dox a mate of mine had an Oak Green campaign on an E plate that was mint.
  21. I must have messed up my original reply along the way because I also said I think it's the price difference. Well it is for me anyway - if I saw something that I really fancied for £100 - £150 even if I didn't have the cash I would stick it on my card. However as much as I would desperately love your RS's Chris, I don't have £1000+ and just can't put that amount on my card anymore 😢
  22. I ran a Jetex on my MKII and although it was a bit of a pig to get the back box sitting so the tailpipes were perfectly level, it was a decent bit of kit. I really liked the sound too - quite raspy but not overpowering or boy racer sounding
  23. Speaking of Italvolanti wheels, are they worth anything? Mine had one in when I bought it but I have a Momo Millenium which was the last thing my Dad bought me before he died and I've had it in every car since. Same as the gear knob was a Christmas present from my middle daughters first Christmas so I've ran that in every car since as well
