hi mate try your local paint factors they shud have it give ya local ones a call,its the only sort of place you will get it,what do ya want if for machine polishing? you can have sum of mine bit of a drive for ya tho :D :)

carnt i do it by hand now the swirls are very light? what goes next? something then the wax? cheers :)

iv finished buffing my car up its flat and iv used g3 and g10 by farecla,and a goin over with autoglym deep shine. now theres still small swirl marks as ud expect and the autoglym seems greecy. if i want to take it to the next level what do i need to use? and what wax to get that deep wet look? its met black..it does look realy good as is and iv never gone any further with paint before and theres loads of products so i dont realy want to buy loads and loads to find what wax is good and will last. the autoglym doesnt last and now the paints around 10 weeks old it shud be fully hard :D any advice would be great thanks

id say its a grey ish black , LA9V - Brilliant Black, if i google the paint code if thats right?,whatever it is its shiney :D i would have liked it a bit lower but my coilovers are right down at the back :(

thanks all for ya replys,yea lenso wheels,just need a fog lamp now mines broke and a debadged grill,and take sum decent pics,il photo the leather when i swap the spray gun for the sewing machine :) you can probo see why resprays are so mutch its taken me a good 60 hours without the paint costs. :D

iv just finished buffing the whole thing,worth it but after 2 days goin at it i feel dead :) now i need to buy sum hide and do my seats :) once ya start you just have to keep goin dont ya :D

started to buff it up now its hard :) turned out the borbets were bent so i had to scrap them. gray leather next,then the 1.8t :D non buffed side and the buffed one

im goin to be doing myn gray over xmas,iv done a car before but just wondered if you had done like the row of stitch on either side of the seam? we didnt on my last set in a mk1 golf,i just wondered if you had done it did you use a twin needle? i cant find any twin leather needles.. i want the effect of the two rows of stitch if you see what i mean. any advice would be great on how this is done or is it just done with a single needle machine?

this may seem a wierd question but why if its only costing 200 ish for a matt respray,why would it be anymore for a normal finish? exept the paint been satin ? what paint are you thinking of using? like 2k guide coat or do you meen like bandq bbq paint? id say its more a problem of keepin up to the type of paint you used!. theres pics of me painting my car in the gallery if you want any pointers iv done a bike satin before ducati paint them matt. but from £200 to £5500 its what your happy with,i only spent so mutch time buffing flatting myn etc you could go on forever then get chips anyway :)

whats the best wheel cleaner to get sum bbs wheels thru the winter? does the acid type eat the laqure away,cheers :D

what kind of socket mate? is it a special one for a vr6? i have a fair few socket sets extensions etc but no special vw tools myns a 16v,in bingley :D

i tryed a search but theres so many posts,if an et 35 wheel has a 10mm spacer fitted is it now et 25 or 45? im changing my bent borbet cs to keskin kt1s im goin to order them tommorow i wouldnt mind them been 10 mm closer or so to the arch than the borbets that are et 35 and 7.5 wide like the borbets so what offset kt1s do i want? thanks :D

well all four of my borbet cs are now bent,so i need sum new rims,either keskin kt1 or i found these rota j mag never seen any on a c before,what ya think there cheaper and light,i dont want 9 wide rears so im trying to decide,im a bit crap with photo shop if anyone can get them on my car at all. :) cheers

myn used to hit with a magnex and as low as it will go on coilovers,i just put pipe clips round the rubbers to stop the zorst dropping down so mutch,been sound for 2 years :D

i dont think thats all the centre cap just a stick on badge im missing the whole cap. na i dont paint for anyone else mate . wet sand after paint 1500,2000 grade wet and dry then farcela g3 and then g10 with a buffer and water i need to buff it again shud come up even better now it will be fully hard thanks :D bit of a pain doing it but worth it when its finished :D

got it finished and the wheels :) just need to find sum new centre caps.

yea you can normaly fit normal plug flex type cable,im no electrician :) in there then tuck ya tape over the seal so it sits back on top of the cable,then just make sure you etch under the seal,id still take the glass out if you had rust or was changing colour :) takes a while to do but can save removing the glass

i used to work on old beetles and campers i had so ya get used to welding and filling etc,i only debaged the rear, the smooth bumper isnt for me,just done the doors today so it shud be finished mid week,if anyones wondering why i havnt taken the glass out,you can feed cable in between the seal and body to hold the seal off so the paint will go underneath so it shudnt peel later best solution without needing autoglass etc. il take sum pics when its finished,id be more than happy to answer any questions on body stuff if it will help anyone wanting to try it,i dont paint for a job but wouldnt recomend painting 2k in ya garage without the proper gear.it could make ya ill:)

i give my 16v a new coat of paint,iv been goin to do it for 2 years but the wing rusted thru so its forced me to get on with it,2 years is a bit lame if ya can do it yourself heres the progress so far,im even goin to push the boat out and paint the borbet cs i have in my garden :)

i removed the intellistart thing as i recon it was a bit dangerous and i found some instructions for the alarm so i turned sum of the options off so its working ok for now thanks tho.

this is of great use to me too as my cars running well ill,i follow it all apart from how to actualy connect the meter,dont suppose you could do a little diagram or sumthing on how to connect the metre up? did you mean one meter probe on each wire? and if say the red probes on the wrong wire out of the two then it will be switched? or bothe probes on one wire?

ive seen on other posts peeps measuring the wheel to the arch etc to set the kit up,ive only set the threads on the coilovers equal with a ruler,is this method ok or would ya go for trying to set it off the arches,im gonna get my new bushes fitted asap and then get it in for 4 wheel tracking think they have that kit where i normaly go but they cant check the front wheel camber but im thinking that shouldnt be making it pull? only the tracking..and for anyone else whos fitted coilovers when i removed the rear strut and looked up in the rear arch theres a rubber still up there i take it this stayes in place and the coilover top sits against it like the standard steel top spring cap does? cheers

just fitted some fk coilovers,im sure ive fit it all right checked lengths etc the car looks to be sat even and im sure i havnt disturbed anything else,now the steering wheels like half a turn out and if acellerate hardish it puls to the left any ideas or is it because the old standard gear could have been so knackerd that now its right it just needs tracking up?
