No worries, you just need to take note of whats in them as some will have silicone in there. as yours wasn't sticking after using flash i'm assuming that it does contain it. All window cleaner for cars will be silicone free and usually quite high in alcohol, but i'd still stick to meths.....white spirit seems to have a habit of leaving a "film" on the screen.....

well according to the "corrado user guide" its 142*c and if it does reach that you should "pull over and stop the engine" :lol:, but to be honest i think i'd start to worry way before it hit that. Your temps are fine, the oil may be a little high but only by a few degrees but still change the water pump as i would expect your water temp to be pushing 100* in traffic, so I'm still reckoning that you not getting the heat transfer.....

Again, another cheap part that you might as well change. even if its not at fault its probably worth a change just to save you grief in the future

I think stage one comes in around 95*c and then stage two at around 110 - 115*c. 90* for the water is fine although while standing i would expect it to get a bit higher, 110* for oil is a high.... but then if the thermostat or water pump or knackered then the water wouldn't be going around the engine, heating up the water and cooling down the engine/oil. Get that stat changed before you start to panic!

Really i think this has to be the thermostat, if its only half getting hot this means there must be a blockage, most likely blockage is the thermostat.........(Sits back and waits to be proved wrong)

actually not sure if i mean ignition switch, its the push switch that's in the ignition barrel anyway that needs replacing
