  1. I occasionally get this problem too....but not all the time, it only seems to happen on very cold days.
  2. I've read somewhere on here what that means but cant remember. Regarding the 300 miles to 1 tank, are you actually putting in 15 gallons, i.e when you go to a petrol station you are putting in 68 litres? or are are you just reading what it says on the top of the fuel metre? I generally fill up in the last quarter about 45 to 50 litres of fuel. 50 litres is 11 gallons (therefore a 4 gallon reserve) this will take me just over 300 miles before its back down to the same level...my car is however a 2l 16 but does have the same size fuel tank and seems to have a similar MPG to the VR.
  3. This could be an interesting thread  ......
  4. Yeah, every car that i've put the super 4's in has run much better as in noticibly so......might try them in my valver if you're recommending them?
  5. Bloody 'ell Jon, what were you doing...
  6. Whilst looking on the Bosch website i came accross these diagrams which i thought were interesting....haven't yet seen it on the forum so thought i would share, I also thought that it might be worth stickying? K-Jetronic - Used on the earlier 1.8 16v KE-Jetronic - Used on the later 2.0 16v
  7. What'd the sciences of that then Mr Waldron?
  8. Doesn't sound right......why not just replace them with standard VR plugs? or just clean up the current ones?

  12. If its happening at specific revs then i'd put money on it being ingnition parts at fault.....HTs, Plugs, Dizzy. You should hopefully be able to find answers to your other problems by using the forum search, they've been covered a good few times here.
  13. Forgot to say that i've sorted this by doing what the beigemeister said! Cheers
  14. Yeah i saw that the other day at halfords and thought it would be quite useful!
  15. Copper grease is what you want, big tubs usually found at halfords

    coilovers?!

Total cheese, you get what you pay for in this game. save your pennies and do it right.
  17. After previous experiance i will only accept cash for a car. When i sold my previous car i accepted a Cheque for a quick sale and i knew that the guy lived at the opposite end of the road where i live....no problem i thought. the problem was that he then decided that he didn't like the car for one reason or another and that he was cancelling the cheque, later that day the car appeared with a rattle of keys through my letterbox!! I know this doesn't apply to your situation but the moral is that even if you think that everything will go well it sometimes wont, if i had the cash i would have been secure in the transaction and he wouldn't have a leg to stand on. There has to be trust in one direction when making a sale like this. Your options will be; 1. Accept the bankers draft 2. Get him to draw the money out from the bank over here 3. Get the draft/transfer sent to you in enough time for it to clear before he gets here. Don't get bullied into making a decision you're uncertain about, if they really want the car they should use options 2 or 3 if they don't you'll always find someone else willing to buy.
  18. No idea when it comes to autos but i would assume that there's some sort of connection between the gear selector and computer, check the wiring, connectors, fuses, etc.....could be a place to start.

    Engine Bay Clean

I used some Comma stuff the other day on some suspension bits, out of the numerous degreasers that i've used this is the best. Comes in a can, pour it into a pot, brush it on and wash it off again! everything i used it on came up looking like new.
