  8. Arrived home tonight from a week in italy skiing/boarding with the misses, she popped upstairs to feed the dog and i nipped out to start up the mk2 (fired up after sitting for a week :D ) So walking back into the house she greets me and says "you'd better go look at the corrado!" So i ask "why?" :? she says "your dads left a note, he's had a scrape"..... ..And my stomach dropped  Lifted the garage door and he's dented/scraped down the pass. wing, luckily the bumper was off so don't have to worry about that!! but seems to only be the wing but i'm heartbroken :( he's going to pay for the repair, but it's just a hassle i don't need!! and the rotten bit is that the other front wing has been repaired in the past, just wishing i'd put it in the other side of the garage  I know i should see the silver lining and look into things like deleting the side repeaters but coming back absolutely shattered, having got the flu on the last night of the holiday (lucky i know  ) i just can't :( Anyways rant over, doped up on beechams and strepsils so see how i feel in the morning  P.s late passenger side front wing in aqua blue pearl if anyine has one?! P.P.s not so nice text was sent to said father as he's out of the country with work, possibly not the brightest of ideas but i was livid :bad-words:

  14. Hi folks looking for some advice, picked up a used intercooler last night and it has some remains of a grenaded charger left in it, apex seals, small fragments of charger :( I have got all the major stuff out and there isn't anything at the outlet end. So is there anyway to flush any smaller particles out? if so what can i use to do this? Also is there any risk with using this intercooler? TIA Andy
  15. Copy and paste from scottishvag.net, guy who posted seems to know quite alot on the subject :D 1. The plate must be made of retroreflecting material which, as regards its construction, colour and other qualities, complies with the requirements of - (a) the British Standard specification for retroreflecting number plates published on 15 January 1998 under number BS AU 145d[13], or (b) any other relevant standard or specification recognised for use in an EEA State and which, when in use, offers a performance equivalent to that offered by a plate complying with the British Standard specification, and which, in either case, is marked with the number (or such other information as is necessary to permit identification) of that standard or specification. 2. Where the registration mark is displayed on the front of the vehicle, it must have black characters on a white background. 3. Where the registration mark is displayed on the back of the vehicle, it must have black characters on a yellow background. Lifted straight from BSAU 145d. So if the plates you are going to buy are marked DIN 74069, TPPR 7285, BSAU 145d or BSAU 145a if it's pre september 2001 et cetera et cetera, have black characters and are white front, yellow rear and reflective with it, they are legal.
