  1. I did see one at GTI international fitted to a C and when I had a chat to the bloke he told me that he had to make new brackets for it because the ones supllied just bent. He had fitted one end just to the left of the n/s headlamp in one of the holes alreadty there and on the other end with his home made bracket which was position on the right corner of the main traingle shape in the bonnet the one with the big sound absorbing pad if this makes any sense to you. I dont think I'll ever bother fitting the lifter to be honest it will just sit in my garage for eternity :D
  2. ruffy, Your mates type R civic isn't red by any chance is it with 2 mahoosive 5-6 inch tailpipes is it??

    Flywheel?

Goto Ridgeway racing for lightened flywheels £80 exchange a very respectable price indeed I think I will be getting mine done the next time I pull the gearbox off :D
  4. Funny that my inxxs lifter is also sitting in the garage I really cant be arsed to fit it! The instructions being in german dont really help matters either
  5. LOL I like that one daz :D :D :D :D :D dont you mean specific!!!! Looks good though henny hope to see you at santa pod on sunday the 5th october as a bit of competiotion for me :D go on you know you want too
  6. I ve given up for this evening removing the inlet and exhaust manifold fuel rail and all the other bits that go with it would have taken another couple of hours at least it's pretty hard working on the car in the dark :( I'm going to take an angle grinder to it and cut the fu**er up that way I will be able to remove it from the side and get the centre section out and undo or grind off the the naff bolts that were put in the flange. Nothing is ever simple! bang goes going to edition 38 show on saturday unless my boss is willing to be kind and let me have Friday off of work!!
  7. I am in the process of trying to fit my new downpipe I have got to the stg now where I am really pissed ioff with it. So far I have undone all the 6 nuts that secure the flexi part of the down part to the manifold I have undone one of the 3 bolts that join the down pipe to the cat or what was the cat now a bypass pipe but the moron who done it has used very odd sized bolts (between 10-11mm) which weren't obviously the right bolts as they have rusted and welded themselves to the flange so I am now in the predicament on what to do. Can the down pipe be tajen out backward to the rear of the car without dropping the subframe or moving the rack sideways as it looks to me that it cant?? Anyone with any Ideas please post now as I need the car for tomorrow for work has anyone infact ever attemted this?? Ant
  8. How about the gauge panels that sell from anywhere between £30-£70 I know they're not available from the dealers anymore but they were only £7.50 when they were being sold at the dealers :D Its amazing what some people will pay for things!
  9. I ve got a mocal oil cooler fitted and lower temp thermoswitch and thermostat to my beast before temps were hitting as high as the mids 120's on a hard drive now the oil temp goes no higher than 96 on a hard drive and usually sits at around 92-94 degrees I ve got mine mounted just below the supercharger at the moment but as soon as I fit the FMIC I will be putting it where the standard intercooler is at the moment
  10. Mine does it occasionally even though I fitted a new starter to it at the beginning of January it is really annoying when it happens in public everyoner looks at you mine always engages on the second attempt I think it's something to do with the ring gear and it not throwing in properly hence the whurring I'll probably whip it off and exchange it for another new one if it starts to do it too often the beauty of working at a motor factors just replace as and when I need a new one :D
  11. I started using optimax a year or so ago and did notice that after the first couple of fill ups the car felt smoother on acceleratrion and general drivability. I always use it now I think it's probably the best fuel available at the moment, I also occasionally use an octane booster like nitrox hot shots every so often like when I go up the pod and when I want to drive my car hard to bring the octane to over 100 you definately can tell when you've put that stuff in as your car goes like a rocket afterwards :D
  12. I'm going possibly both days if your after bargains sundays probably tyhe best day as everyone will want to clear the stocks they have left :D
  13. My mate crashed his '91 nugget yellow G60 2 years ago ( hit a tree @ 70mph) so thats another C that bit the dust
  14. Errrr let me think NO!!! You can stick your Borbets on it if you like as your car has been relegated to the workshop for the duration of the winter :D go on you know you want to. Friday night we'll have to fit the the toothed belt drive how about we drop the rad as well and run the dual ram :D go on you know you want to!!!!!
  15. Hehehe I wondered when you were going to post that Jim I am loving those wheels too I wont even bother posting my edited version as its naff compared to yours jim I'm still very much learning the whole photoshop thing at the moment.
  16. I would probably have one of these if the corrado wasn't about! The good old MR2 Turbo SW20 with the 3SGTE engine and lots of goodies in the engine bay 240bhp+ through rear wheels = Bags of fun :D

    eyebrows?

You could be right Henny I hadn't taken in the side markers before or looked at the plate closely enough I withdraw my last post :D I ve got a kamei spoiler sitting in my shed that have never fitted should really get round to doing that sometime
  18. Hmmmm it seems there's a common fault here I just cant put my finger on it :D I had a leak here too when my head was done!! I thought that the sensoe is a pressure sensor so that it runs the fuel pump after the the engine is shut off to stop fuel vapourisation in the fuel pipes?
  19. I had this problem last year everyone that I spoke to said it was the ecu but I just had a feeling it wasn't this as the year before I had a new ecu fitted so I bit the bullit and bought a new distributer as I couldn't think of anything else that it could be at the time lucky enough I guessed right and it was the hall sender on the dizzy that was knackered bought the dizzy from euro car parts cost about £120 I think.

I ve heard you can get the reiger spoiler on it's own without the 3 bar grille included and to me it does look like the reiger spoiler, As for the lights they look cool dont see why you couldn't have them over here as you can get the mk2 golf headlights clear and they're legal ( as far as I know!) definately a german car though as it has the euro plate with the D for deutchland ie Germany :)
  21. This car looks as if it's had loads of money chucked at it. I love the smooth engine bay that looks really sweet http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 38724&rd=1
  22. I had myG60 on a limited milage policy for a while with HIC when I wasn't going to be using the car everyday as I had the use of my sisters pug what I found was that there are insurance companies that do limited mileage but it's not really worth it as I got my limited milage policy with 1 yrs ncb limited to 6k a year and the policy was £936 and then 3 months later I decided to up the milage to unlimited as I was using the C everyday and they only added £60+ admin of £10 onto the policy which wasn't a huge bill as I had expected to pay at least £200. I like HIC as whenever I do mods to the C all I have to do is pay admin charges the policy price never goes up no matter what IU do as long as I tell em,something to do with the original fee I payed which was 15% of the policy when I did an engine mod now everything related to the engine is already covered :D This Year I payed £728 and that covers me for track days, hire car the lot well happy with em
  23. Try bonrath if you only want to drop it a little bit as they do some top mounts that lower the car by 15mm you dont have to change the springs or shocks as far as I know, if you want to drop it a little more than that ie 30-40 then go for a set of springs there are thousands out there available with all different rates of spring rates as long as your shocks are in good order you wouldn't have to change them for uprated jobbiesso that will save you a bob or 2. Hope this helps Ant
  24. I think you should be able to get one off quite alot of cars I dont have any specific info for you as I haven't fitted one myself yet I am just going to go down the breakers and see what I can find my mate fitted one off of a datsun if thats any help dont know what model though sorry just have a look all it has to do is pass air into the isv and into the inlet but not pass air through the other way as thats the whole point of fitting one so it's draws air in for starting but doesn't bleed off any boost Hope this helps ya
  25. It's another one of these personal choice things I am still undecided on this one but one thing I know for sure is they are NOT going black or dark I hate black wheels or dark wheels so I will still be thinking along the lines of white or silver. Silver more favorable at this time??
