If you dont want to take your charger out any further ie:to stage 4, the only other mods available are the rsr outlet which will get rid of that horrible black muffler box and a smaller chip and pulley you could also get rid of the boost return pipe and do the ISV re route and perhaps run a second filter on the charger but you would need to remove the cowling on the rad and fit a smaller fan to be able to get clearance for a second intake!! They're the only mods I can think of that will improve the performance of the charger and the car!!

Corrado rear bench - Warning Triangle and First Aid Kit.....
Banana Man replied to Andy947's topic in General Car Chat
I have one in my car it is black with ralley written in blue and all the stuff in the box is all in german!! I'm not gonna sell it though :D -
When I had my clifford fitted with the inteli start my alarm fitter couldn't get the alarm to lock the doors when the inteli start is activated it had something to do with the vacuum operated solenoids, it locks fine when the inteli start is not activated it's quite puzzling he tried all sorts of relays abd stuff to try and get it to work. Nick are you trying to get the doors to lock when the engine is running or just when the ignition is in the acc position?

Yeah I have to agree, I dont think changing the profile by 5mm is going to make much difference to be honest. Are your coilovers damper adjustable? if you soften the damper rate that will make things more comfortable!!!
-
set of 4 lowers the car by 40mm!!! I ve had the ones they sell on my old gti and I was quite impressed with em

Andi the ate power discs are listed under accesories on the site and are £27.50 each, then change the full suspension for boge gas shocks also from ecp for £3499 each for the fronts and £27.20 for the rears and you could also buy the lowering springs for £59.99 which will make the car handle much better. I would advise you to change the whole lot as the car has now done over 180k and will alter the handling charecteristics quite a bit if you only change the fronts!! If you get all the stuff I will fit it for you at the weekend if you bring it down!! give us a bell you know my number :D

I have to dissagree Longman in my experience yoko's are too soft which is why they are so good in the wet but not so brilliant in the dry I have avon zz3's at the moment on 17's running 205/40/17's but find the tyres catch the plastic inserts on the back and front of the wheel arches and also catch the back of the wheelarch on full lock but that I put down to it being lowered by 80mm so the wheel sits alot closer to the wheel arch inside. If you're going to run 17's with a profile of 45 I think your best bet would be to go for 205/45/17's and lower the car no more than 40mm but as you've got coilovers that shouldn't be a problem, I think one thing you will find is that 205/45/17's will be quite a bit dearer to buy than 40 profile tyres as they aren't that common so I think it's a case of weighing up the pro's and cons really, is it worth gaining a slight improvement in comfortness and spending another £30-£50 a corner, or leave it how it is and live with a harsher ride!! Thats my 2p's worth anyway

Nice looking motor lee I love the old skool stylee borbet c's I nearly bought them myself last year but wentfor the fox evo's instead. I definately think the oettinger grille is down to personel choice it hasn't grown on me yet I still like the old 5 slat grille!!!

My dad works for a toyota dealership and I have to admit the celica 190 (your mate obviously had the celica 140) is a very nice car to drive it handles really well like the corrado and like most jap cars is very solid and well put together, the fun really starts though when you hit the second cam profile at around the 6000rpm mark it hits you like a turbo the only down side is that in third gear you have to be doing 90mph before you get the second profile to come in which is a bit annoying coz you cant use the extra power in everyday driving (Nice car though) the corrado is much better in my personal opinion :D :D I think the mr2 roadster is a pretty funky car to drive as well I like the RWD and the 2l vvti engine but again the second cam profile is too far up the rev range to be able to use it!!!

I think £9k is a bit much for an L reg model I think it would be worth between £6k and £6.5k if it is in really good condition , but you never know the value is only what somebody is willing to pay for it and you might be lucky and find someone that would apreciate a low mileage car in good condition and with low mileage and owners. That my 2p's worth anyway

By the time you've added the postage and shipping tax on you'll probably be able to get it cheaper from BBM as they are $69 I think and postage wouldn't be that much!!! Let me know tho as I would be more than happy to send one to you |I would have to find out shipping and all that before I could send one to you Iceman

Yeah that could work tom!!! :D Have you seen what the centre console gauge panels are going for on e bay they're hitting the £50-£70 mark and they only cost £7.50 from the dealer stealers but I think you'll be hard pushed to find anymore as I think they're all sold now!!! :(
-
Ok nigel no prob's I dont think there will be a problem selling them if I cant shift them I'll stick em on ebay and see how they sell on there!!!
-

I hadn't had a sunroof problem until last week on a sunny day when I went to open it, it would only tilt but then I tried it a bit later and the damn thing worked I ve been tryin it everyday since and seems to be intermitent so the likely hood is that it is going to stop working altogether very soon :( . I ve heard the passat sunroof and mechanism is the same and there are plenty of them down the scrappy so I'll probably get a set of spare mechanisms and wait till my sunroof pops it's clogs.

Looks good dubcharged I might by a couple and have them before and after the intercooler and then when I fit the charge cooler see what a difference it makes having it charge cooled instead of the standard intercooler!!! :D

Blimey if you go to the full list http://www.streetracerparts.com/models/makes/Volkswagen/Corrado_92_95.htm they also list 92-95 models which mine is, as it has the digital display on the speedo and the fuel and temp gauge not just the fuel and temp gauge, the only thing is they only go upto 140mph when my clocks go upto 160mph I think the american models have 140mph and the uk models went upto 160mph which is a bit of a bummeras they do look effing wicked

I run 17's on 205/40's and it's lowered 80 odd mm with an offset of et37 and dont get any arch problems ( unless I have 2 fat knackers in the back :D )

right stormseeker the OE number for the corrado VR6 filter with model code AAA is 021115561 and the fram number is H932/5x as I thought there is only one cartridge filter for the 2.9 VR so I dont know what your dealer has been looking up!!!! hope this helps!!!
-
I'll tape up the wiring next time!!! :)
-
I cant remember if there are 2 different cartridge filters for the corrado VR, I know there are 2 different ones for the 2.8 golfs and sharans I'll double check it at work tomorrow!

146driver sounds like your oil pump is either knackered or the oil pick up pipe has got clogged up as I have had this 2 times happen to me once in my golf gti it only did it on hard right handers for some reaon and once in the corrado both times I ve replaced the oil pump and it has cured the problem straight away!!! Worth thinking about anyway!!!
