If your in your C and constantly hearing a whining noise leave the girlfriend/wife at home instead! :ignore:
-
Let us know how you get on mate. :salute:
-
Just swapped from 16" to 17" rims, C lowered about 40mm and no problems fitting them under the arches. Even seems to have sorted out the rubbing issues on the inside of the wheelarch when on full lock?! :confused4: But yes, you do feel the difference around corners, don't have the same confidence that I had with the 16". :(
-
Sounds like you need someone to buy some more parts off you... :ignore:
-
Local lad got the Mk5 GTi alloys on his C in 18" and they just look too big and out of proportion to the rest of the car. Otherwise they would look great. :(

Hello mate, Matey-Matey is pretty good or you can try the guide on the G-Werks site:- http://www.g-werks.com/Services_glader/1/Default.aspx Not sure of the weight of a Supercharger but cost them £25 to send mine back to me, (long sad story why I didn't have to send one). :(

So your the suspicious character hanging around our Car Park!

All the first aid stuff 'best before' dates ran out in 1997, so box is defo from early 1990's but is it VW? :cuckoo:

Is this the right original 1st Aid Box for a 91 Corrado? 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf1stAidBox.JPG[/attachment:rk4m4946]1stAidBoxOpen.JPG[/attachment:rk4m4946] The box has a BMW logo in the corner. :confused4:

Yep, try Chris Knott mate, was cheaper than AF and could afford extra's such as 'no claims protection' and breakdown cover is only about £55.

Why its sometimes better to ring the Dealer first...
Jay2 replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in Suppliers Forum
Try to use the Stealers when I can, the guys now recognise me as the 'Corrado bloke', not sure if this is a good or bad sign. BUT while sometimes things turn out to be cheap, other bits just seem to have been priced at random. For example the metal clips that hold the headlight lense, think they were nearly £2 each when I bought a couple a few months ago. :cuckoo: Agree with some of the Ebay stuff though, just because its on there doesn't mean its cheap. For example there is someone selling VW Corrado brake/acc pedal rubbers for £2 plus postage! When they are 50p a piece from GSF. :epicfail: Oh, one last thing about using VW Dealers, I wish they would have educated staff. Once went in and a young bloke was sat behind the parts desk, "hello mate, I'm after a piece of trim for a 91 Corrado?". The kid looked at me for a bit and then said, "sorry, I'm not too good with the old cars, I'm more into the more modern VW's, like the Passatt". -
Wouldn't touch Adrian Flux with a barge pole after previous hassles with my capri. :bad-words: They lost my documents and then threatened to cancel my insurance because they didn't have the documents! :brickwall: As some of the other posts suggest, kick up a fuss and the so-called "admin fee" suddenly disapears.

Anybody know if these would fit a Corrado? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0331810018 The guys unsure whether they are 4x100 or 4x105? Also, would I have any rubbing issues as the tyres are 205/55 rather than 205/45? Any help appreciated. :notworthy:

Do you have a linky to the Durham Dubs wheels mate? :salute: Found the website and just waiting to find out if still for sale. :norty:
-
FOUR! Proper hardcore mate. :salute: Wasn't sure it would take four bikes at once.

Well done mate. :notworthy:

love that you can watch F1 practice on BBC website..
Jay2 replied to dukest's topic in General Car Chat
Usually repeated on BBC 3 or is it 4 about 7pm on race days but why there isn't a repeat on BBC1 or 2 on Sunday evening like on ITV is beyond me. :brickwall: -
White Corrado at Cortonwood, Dearne Valley, this T-time. :D Just got the back end leaving, suspiciously being followed by an AA/RAC Van.

Used the search and now I'm more confused than ever. Would these fit my 91 G60, its lowered about 40mm? http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... try1986652 According to the search 17" need to be 205/40/17 with an ET 35 for a good fit, is this right? And are all 4x100 stud patterns the same fitting? As I've seen some for different car makes? :confused4: Thicko after some help. :cuckoo:

As above, Thule roof bars and decent make of bike carrier. Yes, the clamp-on stuff seems a bit agricultural but it does work. Got to the coast and back with two mountain bikes strapped to the roof without any problems over the weekend. May have to shorten the bike carrier bars on some makes if you want to be able to open the boot fully. Oh and it does make a difference to the mpg. :(
-
Finished spraying the wheelarch, now no rust but finish is shite. :( Can't seem to feather the edges or get a proper smooth shine finish. Fitted 2nd hand roof bars I've had for six months and bike carrier my gf bought me. Not sure if this is sacrilege. She wasn't too happy when she walked in while I was hacking the carrier to pieces with the saw! Had to shorten it so the boot lid would open fully.

Left stranded, car towed cos of insurance error.
Jay2 replied to VR6Joni's topic in General Car Chat
Surely the insurance company should be named and shamed! Was it the Barnsley Brigade mate that pulled him? :camp:
