  1. Sorry but can't stop myself....... :ignore: Scissors, bleach........ :ignore:
  2. Amp has been cutting out, depending on whether I went round a left or right handed corner, so eventually decided to tackle the problem as it didn't seem to be getting any power. Worked from the boot backwards following the main feed cable and then behind the undertray. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfPicoftrayout.JPG[/attachment:2q2zj4mj] Cable then fed straight through to the engine bay and the battery, DOH! PicofBattery.JPG[/attachment:2q2zj4mj] Faulty spade connector on the battery. Must win the "bleeding obvious" problem of the day. :(
  3. Local Stealers finally got a couple in and they do look better in the flesh. Stll needs lowering and the 'fat arse' looks odd but with a few mods it will look great, as per the pic above. The leather seats looked..............drooooooooooooooool :luvlove: PS. Am I the only one sorry to see this series of 5th Gear finish, just as it appeared to be getting into its stride :confused4: Yes, the studio bit is a clear rip-off of Top Gear, (preffered the Ace Cafe), own testing track rip-off of Top Gear, but stand outs this series - tweaked Mk2 Golf, the horror of trying to change the headlight bulb in a Renault, the new bloke presenter that wore the same jeans with the woolly bottoms for the entire series and a motoring magazine reviewing cars I can almost afford! Finally becoming the better 'car' programme? Discuss :ignore:
  4. My mates response was "Well, for that much you'd think they'd fit f*cking indicators!" :salute: People that buy vehicles with xenon headlights and are then too tight to replace them when they fail! :bad-words: And then put the other side on 'beam' to compensate! :brickwall:
  5. Lost big time this weekend! :( Finally lost patience with Raikonen and changed to Massa. Gave up on Koveleinan and switched to Kubica. :brickwall: Agree with some of the other comments about Kubica and Massa, both just seemed to give up. Lost alot of respect for Kubica and Massa just proved again that if he's not in the lead he hasn't got the kahuna's to fight for every last point. :cuckoo:
  6. Got one from the local VW Dealers but its slightly different than the one we took out? The dealer bolt has a smaller diameter hole up the thread and two holes through the top of the bolt, whereas the one we took out has a larger diameter hole up the thread and three holes through the top of the bolt? Will this effect the oil feed or just the normal updating of parts by VW W3RKD? :?
  7. Why Suppliers Mr Moderater? After the Part Number for a bolt in the engine department
  8. Had a go at changing the Supercharger on my G60 for the freshly serviced one from G-Werks. Managed to swap them over and was changing the Oil Feed Pipe for the supplied braided one and over tightened the bolt which fastens it to the Supercharger, which snapped in two! :pale: Anyone know the part number for the bolts? Hoping to get to the stealers in the morning. Cheers for any advice.
  9. Cheers Boost Monkey, will get onto the Stealers today.
  10. Advice appreciated. 1991, 1.8 G60 - Coolant is leaking out of the plastic 'hose flange' on the end of the engine block, (not the front one, had that replaced last year :( ). According to Bentleys it just has the one temp sensor and the main pipe leads to the heater core. Is the plastic hose flange still available from the stealers? Part no? Also, does it come with the required 'O' rings, as I presume one of these may be the problem. Is it a simply job to do? Any help appreciated as the C is sat dribbling away in the garage.
  11. As above, Dubmeister do a road legal one, (as long as you stick to GB for your blue country thingy, apparently having the D can be seen as an infringement with fussy plod). Have a look on the website for your nearest dealer, as it saves messing about sending your documents in.
  12. Having read the post from the start, Riley :salute: The problems on my G60 don't seem that bad after seeing the valver from the start. What cleaning product did you use on the actual front headlight lenses? They look cyrstal clear.
  13. Hello mate, any other tips to the above? Replacing mine in the next few weeks, (hopefully), and never done the job before. :pale:
  14. Knew I should have changed it after qualifying! :( Think Raikkonen's engine committed suicide after such a p*ss poor showing and does Kovalainen belong in one of the top teams?
  15. Ssssshhhhh, don't let them hear you, we might have to pay to use the forum! :pale: Just thought with a bit of work the site could have paid for itself with adverts and linking parts to dealers who could supply them to us punters.
  16. Charging $11.95 for its use! :bad-words:
  17. Not sure if its me turning into a judgemental old git BUT do certain car makes/models attract a certain kind of enthusiast? Went to the BIG F*rd Fair at Silverstone today, (present from girlfriend), to see some old-skool escorts and capri's and apart from being knocked out at the size of the show the other thing was how many, how can I put it, young persons of a baseball and burberry persuasion there was. :ignore: Am I tarring everyone with the same brush? :?
  18. Just tried to use Dubmodder, as wanting to get some idea of what a couple of things might look like on my C, and theres now a charge for accessing the site! I've not been on for a while but I'm sure it was free last time. Have I missed something or is there another site that does something similar? Hope this isn't a pearoast.
  19. Yep, as above. Website is years out of date and if you email they only tell you to ring them. Ended up going to the local stealers in the end. :(
  20. If your with Chris Knott thier breakdown cover isn't too bad either, £54.50 for full UK and EU cover, although it is with a breakdown company I've never heard of, so unsure how long it might take to get some help. :D
  21. Have had this argument with the Mrs every time she fills her car up. Surely it makes sense that the extra weight of a full tank will in turn mean the car has to work harder to carry the extra weight? I know it probably makes a miniscule difference to the amount of petrol you use but in the long term.......
  22. Priced these up at my local Stealers on Saturday as the drivers side piece is broken and not much difference in price to GPC once you've also added postage:- Centre strip - £32 Both end strips - £21 plus vat Didn't know about the clips and have a nasty suspicion that mine is securely glued on as well. Any tips when doing this job?
  23. Thanks for taking the time to respond mate. I have rung with a couple of other queries about my policy since and had nothing but friendly and helpfull advice from your staff. Think I must have just caught one on a bad day. Decided to continue with my insurance on the strength of the help. :D
  24. Hello Vag-Hag, Mines the grey G60 with XVW reg plate round Tarn', surprised how many there is knocking about in the area. :D
