Hurrah it was only a leaky flange the one on the side of the head :D (that I only replaced in January) So the garage have covered it in sealent and it appears to have stopped leaking (for now) My first cheap job on the C! I love a happy ending 8)

Remembering our conversation on Sat regarding heater matrix replacement and how lucky we where not to have had to change one yet...... I just had another look at my puddle and it's quite far back, am still waiting for the call from the garage but am preparing myself for the worst :( Oh well on the plus side it will get me out of going to see the other halfs folks on the weekend  You free for a matrix session on the weekend mate? lol *had forgotten its ED38 this weekend good job I'm not going then really! :-(

Bugger, just got in to work and one of the guys from downstairs calls to let me know my car has a rather large puddle underneath it :? Have not identified the source yet but I think I know where its coming from, both the pipes that run from/to the water pump and oil cooler have been dodgy for a while now so I guess one of them has finaly given up and I am 20 miles from home. Called the garage down the road and when I gave my name the guy went "ah the Corrado" Fingers crossed they will sort it today!
-
I refitted my bumper again and managed to close the gap underneath the grill :D Feeling flush I attempted to sort the loose rubbers on the droplinks but thought better of it and went to the pub

No worries mate :-) whenever you get a chance, looking forward to seeing how they tidy up the engine bay should imagine they look very nice 8)

Come on Dave you know better than to just knock up a set for yourself  I will have a set too please!
-
Your just showing off now Goldie  we didnt all get top speck raddos you know!
-
Have you been putting up with this issue since last Sept? I guess not :) If it is something that has-been/is getting progressevly worse it would point to the Crank bolt working loose and your timing drifting out, maybe something else to check ;-)
-
Anyone know where these can be purchased? They would cover up the nasty hole under my drivers side door handle where some scum tried to nick the car :(
-
As mentined a few times now, check your timing! Like Darren says this problem is screaming of the cam belt being out. I would start there and confirm that the Cam pully, Intermedate Shaft, crank, and dizzy are all point to the correct marks at TDC!
-
That would be why it was the only car ever made in Ireland then
-
You never know if there is enough demand to re-release the DeLorean who knows Karman might decide to re-release the Corrado
-
I would have one but I'm not waiting 9 months for it  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6925533.stm

Either they have moved or gone under? website no longer works and the last time I drove past (on way to GSF) it looked very empty indeed :-(
-
More than likely he meant that it came with a CAT but it was removed because its not required for MOT as long as the car was registered before August 92 (I think) 8)

Seen that one a few times but its not really the step by step guide that would make me feel confidant about pulling off my charger to change that belt :-( I have seen posts on here recommending that the small belt is replaced once a year as its so cheep and easy to change but that seems like overkill to me. However my charger was last rebuilt in 2004 by Jabba  and I cant afford to get it rebuilt yet so step by step belt change guide or not I am going to have to get in there and replace that belt some point this summer :-(
-
Hi Mate try here: http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4109 Hleped me loads when I did mine :-)
-
It's tempting very tempting but am worried about the decrease between rebuild times am doing loads of mileage at the moment so dont want to have to get the blower re-built once a year! :? Plus she is already running a Bar of boost @ 5200 and anything over that is wasted anyway? Will have a word with Darren and see what he thinks :D
-
Good skills mate! :D just out of interest what was your CO reading for the test?
-
Ok so they do exsist..... Where can I get a set?? :D
-
Hi Rob, Not got an exact list of new toys yet, will depend on Darrens recommendations and of course how much change I get from the charger rebuild :? but am going to get an RS charger outlet and possably an FMIC 8) Good luck with the MOT! Lets us know how she gets on :-D Dan

Hi Rob, On the oil temps have you changed your Thermostat recently? I only ask because I changed mine with a genuine VW one 6 months ago during a full service and noticed that the temp went right up to 130 degrees on the oil  So I took it out and put it in a pan of boiling water with my old one, the new one had a smaller apature and didnt open as far or as quickly as my old one :? so I marched it back to VW and got another one.... Same thing so I tried another one... After that I gave up and put my old stat back in. IMO VW stat's are sh1te am going to have to change it eventualy as mine runs really cold and takes ages to warm up the oil as my old stat doesnt close all the way :-( but better too cold than too hot, she doesnt get thrashed till the oil is at 80 degrees anyway and thats the important bit! Will get a low temp one (if I can find one for a G60 they all appear to be VR6!) when I get round to it! On the CO I have never set mine mate I am going to get Gwerks to do it when she goes in for the Charger rebuild and a few new toys 8) All I did was take the CO pot off and measure the resistance and set it to around 200ohms (apparently that is the recommended base value but best do a quick search to confirm) Cheers Dan
-
No worries dude :D all good here! How's she behaving? Let us know how you get on with setting the CO
-
Morning mate :) yea just leaver that blue plug out with a small screwdriver then you can get to the adjustment screw. Dan

I love the sound of my (girlfriends) MKII 16v  it sounds great, looks good, handles well and is reliable! Well three out of four of the above for my Corrado isnt too bad I suppose :? come to think of it the same could be said of the misses really
