 i am exactly the same. If someone wants to slate it then i have nothing to say to them because 99.99% of the time they have never drove one or even seen one before to make bad comments on it. However if they just dont like it but respect that i do then thats fine, each to their own and all that just like i respect if someone likes their 1.2 corsa with a 5" exhaust on  For example the other day was chatting to a bird and she was pretty cool at first because she likes cars and motorbikes and even more rare is she likes the classics, but if i didnt like the car's she liked she would slate me and when i said that i am mainly in to corrados and mk1 golfs she said she didnt like them which was fine but then she started slating them, well that was the end of that conversation, see ya

Yeah, i got rid of them before i put my supercharger on as i needed bigger brakes and these only just cleared standard brakes with spacers AND with a bit of carrier shaving!! Plus having big wide heavy wheels with hardly any rubber on them wasn't doing wonders for the ride which would have been a big problem with an extra 70bhp through the wheels so i sold them and replaced with some nice lightweight BBS RX's which still look nice just not as mean, but they clear 288's and 312's so i can stop the thing which helps

Cheers mate :D i wish it had looked like that when i came to see you, would have been some awesome pics of the 2 cars together :luvlove:
-
They were Brock B2's but i had them sprayed a light gun metal colour with some special paint which really brightened up in the sunlight and they had a hint of purple to match the car. They are missed but i didnt like the ride on them and needed bigger brakes for supercharger etc so had to put my sensible head on  Couple more pics: Shows the difference in light with the sun out!

They will fit but arch work is needed as well as stretched tyres. I would advise a higher offset (30 for example) on the front as the rado suits the staggered look and looks gash with et15 up front as well. Here is how mine was with et15 (9x16) rear with 215/40 stretched tyres and the arch lips cut. And fronts are et30 (9x16) with 3mm spacers (to clear spacers) with arch lips rolled:

Right on. She has a head like Terrance and Phillip out of South Park. Im not in to 5th gear, its good for properly reviewing the cars but i also find their voices annoying and it just doesnt keep me wanting to watch it, i could happily flick over even if they are driving a massively powerful supercar.

:notworthy: 100% with you mate! It boils my blood when people say its sh!t just because its old and when i ask what they do like, its all the same mass produced crap that are all the same but with different badges basically! But at the same time i still get a lot of compliments because it is different and people also realise its a one of design by vw intended as a sports coupe rather than just a golf with slightly wider arches, without mentioning any new vw sports coupes coming out soon  (*waits for pedantic replies saying how i am wrong and the corrado is based on a golf etc ) Lately i have been having a corrado downer (just ask Kev, he's been on the end of my depressed emails  sorry mate!!) as i have recently moved house and the roads are terrible, really bumpy with pot holes everywhere :bad-words: and its really made me think about selling up and getting a modern car that absorbs bumps and doesnt yank the steering out of your hand over every pot hole. But then i look around at these modern cars and yeah they drive nicely and wouldnt feel as bumpy but they are all dull and lifeless (with a few exceptions obviously but not within my price range!). But i know that with a bit of time and money i can get it driving as good as possible and then whack a turbo on it and wipe the floor with all the above mentioned cars
-
The more i look at it the more im starting to like it :ignore:  i think because its a strong red and you have the black bits on it anyway they work! Still wouldnt do it to mine though!
-
I was just about to post "Cue Kev" but you got here before me

I dont think the corrado would get a 'spanking' by all of the mentioned cars. Ok with the likes of the ITR and VX220 but the corrado with all suspension parts etc renewed still handles very well. I have driven modern cars and yes they feel great but you cant exactly go miles faster round a corner than you could in the C. I can keep with my mate in his 350Z albeit with a few hairy moment  and i reckon i wouldnt be miles away from my old mans audi a4 quattro 2.5 tdi

Haha if the Yeti gets anything like he did last year it should be an entertaining evening indeed  I will be bringing a mate this year as well so should be good! Anyway :offtopic:

Nope just lots of caffeine

Nah its just a fetish of mine, i often dress up like that on weekends :camp:

Bit slow today

i imagine this type of stretch kills

The gauge under reads so although it may say 80 its probably more like 85-90. I cant remember exactly how much it under reads by though. It could also have had a low temp stat in it, i have one in mine and when sitting at normal speeds (60-70) my gauge reads about 70-80. But obviously not anymore as you replaced it
-
Or just buy some Lamin-X covers like i had on mine once upon a time  Link to Empire GFX And my car once upon a time with them fitted (and fog/indcators as well but took them off in the end): Oh and my wheels were 9's with 215/40 Toyo's on which was a nice stretch imo 8)

Wrong section mate, you want the Engine Bay section. Dont create another thread though, a mod will most likely come and move this one for you. Just so you know in the future
-
Ooh they're gunna look good 8) hurry up and get them done man!!
-
Agreed :salute: i wouldnt do it to mine, can see how they would benefit though but i'd say keep them black.

Yep definately need dump valve, or diverter valve. Think about it, the charger runs off the pullies which turn the charger and suck air in to the throttle boddy. When you throttle off the engine is still turning and sucking in air but it has nowhere to go and so would build up pressure and try to push back through the charger, which could speed up bearing failure etc. The diverter valve sits between the charger and tb to just keep the air circulating through the charger. If the MAF is still being used on the car then you will need diverter valve not a dump valve as the dump valve would dispose of air thats already been measured by the MAF and so would in turn cause in correct fuelling and generally bad running (been there and got the t-shirt). A diverter valve just diverts the air back round, after the MAF but before the charger so the measured air is still within the system.

Yeah sounds like classic buffer trails to me, maybe from a cheap polisher someone used or by just a normal valeter in the past. Machine polishing is the best way to get rid of them.

I would do, but you're about 150 miles away :) Oh yeah :salute:
