Good points = Noise and fuel economy Bad points = Noise and fuel economy. Twin carbs sound awesome, especially at full chat through a tunnel. But they need setting up quite regular and can be thirsty. I think I've read somewhere they can be a bit of trouble to start on a cold day too. I'm not sure how much power you'll get out of them either, I remember reading a mag years ago where they put a set of 48's on a 16v 'Roco and the gains weren't that impressive. But the induction roar was. You should be able to do the conversion for about £700. Or spend a bit more and get some Throttle bodies instead.

I had a sound clip somewhere of my car doing a drive by past my mate at about 85mph. I'm running an induction kit. I'll try and dig it out and put it on.

If you make a really good heatshield with the induction kit it should in theory work better. But from what most people say the K&N drilled airbox combo works better.

Sounds like I should remove my original heat exchanger :cry: It looks like I'm not running a G60 oil filter :shock:

Heyup Brian, yep I'm gettnig mine done at G-Werks. Your best bet is to ring Darren for a price, I'm getting my charger serviced while I'm there so that's included in the price. He's a top bloke and will give you a good price.

So, how much work is involved in swapping the 1st and 2nd gears out of a VR6 box to the G60, and would it be cheaper to buy and fit a Mk3 16v GB?

I wanted her to get a polo 16v but it was just out of budget. I went to look at a nice SE too, but it got sold before I got up there. I love Polo's but really can't fault the Corsa. It's 10bhp down on the Polo16v but it's about £120 cheaper on the insurance. I'll try and get some pics put up.

Just thought I'd update. Couldn't find a decent polo, at the right time so I ended up getting her a Corsa Sport 1.4 16v. And....... It's a top little motor. (I never thought I'd say that about a corsa) It shifts too, once you get past 3Krevs it just keeps pulling. I'm gonna try and get her to put some wheels on it, but as for now it's mint. 1997, 3 owners, metallic bue, electric everything good history. £1950 with tax till next june

How come the throttle cable will affect/cause the wistle?
