Just a massive massive thamks to Darren for putting in about 10hours work on my C yesterday. He fitted a Golf IC and then had a wrestling match with the oil cooler. After that he re-built my G-Lader, only he and god know what with cos now the car has turned into some kind of monster. I've done 250miles at the min due to running it in, but the boost difference is amazing. Big hello to Steve Liam and Ant too. Top set of blokes and top quality of work. Once again Darren, thanks loads for the work you put in on my car yesterday, it was worth every mile of the 470mile round trip. It won't fit mate. The closest thing you can get to an induction kit for K-Jet is a product from PiperX which is a complete foam replacement for the bottom of the airbox.

I hope my powerflow isn't like that

I'm in exactly the same positon at the min. I'm well fed up of my Job. I'm a fracture&fatigue technician for Corus (formally British Steel). Basically I brake things and say how good they are. Ok some bits are good, I had to test a motorway crash barrier at one point, which involved driving a car into it at 70mph. The sound wasn't very nice, and made me think twice about going daft on the M1. I've got an ONC and HNC in materails and an NVQ level 3, and some hydraulic matainance training. I need to chnge my job and would love to get in the automotive industry, I tried appying for a technician job at a stealers a few years back but nothing came of it. Also I can't really afford a pay cut, anything bout £17k pa would do though. The thing what gets me most is that, my kid brother is only 21 and looking to buy a TT, he's a brick layer and is getting paid a stupid wage at the min!! I'm 24 and trying like mad to keep the C on the road. I suppose I wouldn't mind as much if I really enjoyed the job.

Right, once again the parts dept at my local VW garage have done me over! :x First time, I can accept for being a little nieve, so I stood the £70 they did me out of. This time if they don't sort it, the bloke behind the counter will feel the wrath of an annoyed 17st man. I ordered a throttle cable for my G60, but due to my mate going on hol and me working away, have taken about 3 weeks to get round to fitting. My mate (who is a mechanic at a different dealers) has pointed out it's the wrong cable. Apparently the one I need has a hook at the dash end, this one has a ball and a spring. Should I stand my ground and tell then to get it sorted, or accept it again? Surely it's their mistake for ordering the wrong bit? Thanks RACK

I'll keep that it mind. The car is back up and running now thanks to my mate (head mechanic at a stealers :D ). Just need to get a new set of centre caps for the wheels, due the the nut popping off and taking that with it :cry:

To cut a long story short, the thread on the end of the driveshaft has sheered off and taken the nut with it. Just wondered where the best place to get a new driveshaft would be? Also I'm getting due to put a new engine in and is it worth sticking to the G60 shafts or uprating them due to me hoping for around 260bhp, and if which ones should I go for? Thanks loads RACK

I got told that when a dumpvalve is put on a G60 it sounds like a wet fart. This is due to the oil coming out as well as boost. Also it will cover your engine bay.
