Just thought I'd let you all know, I got the Toad fitted on friday and have nothing but good things to say about it :D I'll never have a clifford again! Plus the nice people who fitted the Clifford made a right balls up of it, so much so, they didn't even connect any interior sensors!!!  The thing is, the place I had it done, had a really good reputation, round south yorkshire, not any more though!!!

Ah, why didn't I think of Ebay

That bagde looks well smart, I've seen one like it before, I tried to get hold of one when some little sh1t stole mine, but I ended up with a chrome corrado one. Where did you find it?

  Did she have Reebok classics or a pair of Kickers on. And she's got to have been wearing loads of gold!! By the way, that car is a beast! I do have respect for Scoobys but I don't half love seeing the drivers face when you keep up with them or pass them in your case!! I can only beat standard uk ones  or my mates wrx from 20mph in third, thanks to turbo lag

You could have been in luck though, were they the adidas tracky bottoms, with the press studs up the leg? mmmmm quick entry

I hear what you're saying about the fobs Both my clifford fobs needed repairing twice. The closure time isn't that much of a problem. Due to me having a compulsive behaviour disorder, I have to check the car about 5 times to see if it's locked

Henny, I've just seen your new pipes on the Dubforce thread. They look well smart! I've still got a set of Samco coolant hoses to go on mine. Will I ever get round to getting things done??
-
I was thinking about getting it re-placed, but no-doubt no that, I had to get someone else to get it started, they'll just turn round and say, the warrently has been invalidated. And I've had nothing but problems with the clifford. I've decided to go for the toad, so I'll let you all know as soon as it's on. Thanks for the replies RACK

My Clifford Concept 300 decided to Fook up big time last night, I had to get an alarm fitter out just to get my car started. It totally killed it's self. The dash lights and the alarm LED wouldn't come on and the alarm wouldn't respond to the fob!  Anyway, it took me 4hours of messing about with the battery, then this alarm bloke just bypassed the thing in 5 minutes (Very Scary how easy he made it look!) I've decided, instead of getting the Clifford sorted, I'm just gonna get it ripped out and have a different make fitted? I've had nothing but bother with it!!! The fitter said he'd never touch a clifford (inspiring eh?) He's reckomended a Toad Ai606 and will fit it for £260 all in. Does anyone know what these are like? The leason I have learnt is NEVER GET CLIFFORD AGAIN. Thank you for letting me rant on (again) That feels much better  RACK

They are, but you have to wait 6-8weeks to get them

I agree with you henny. I've found out so much info from this site, and the help I've had has been priceless. Also some of the bits I've been able to get hold of (boost gauge, Golf IC and a few other bits all not fitted yet! ) It seems everyone's relationship with their C is a "love and hate" one Love the beast when it's running good, and wasting Saxos Hate it when the repair bill comes back after fixin somthing

Yeah, I feel alot better about it too. I'm def gonna see the project through to end. Thanks for helping.

It doesn't help I can't really do things to it myself. I've got a garage, but it's not at my house, we haven't got a drive, so it's always "Kirb-side Motors" if I work on anything my self. I've got a Golf IC and pipe work, a Sachs clutch and stacks of other bits on my bedroom floor! Plus, A set of Froged pistons down at Pitstop/Gwerks. Also need the Charger doing, but I'm gonna wait till I get back off holiday for that. It's just a pain when I want to do something and the street is packed, or it starts raining. Plus it could do with a once over of paint, (atleast white is a cheap paint though  ) My mate does nearly all the work on the car due to him being a head technician at a VW Stealers, and doesn't really charge me much. I do love it to death, but she doesn't half push me to the edge!! Oh well, I'll just get on with it and chuck another couple of grand at it  Thanks for the support! P.S. It's like a support group, "Hello my name is John, and I'm losing faith in my Corrado G60"

My fave was my cousins '89 Porsche 911 ClubSport. I've never felt anything pick-up like it! And the sound of that air-cooled flat six!!! It felt like someone was kicking me in the back and punchin me in the chest at the same time!!
-
It it just me, or does anyone else lose faith from time to time in their C? I'm on a right downer with mine at the min! Needs a few things doing (engine, supercharger and paint) and it's MOT time next month  Just thought I'd ask if anyone thinks of selling there's every now and again? RACK

That quatrro sport is something else!!!
-
Cheers, I'll let him know

Wasn't sure where to put this, so I thought general would cover it. I know it's not a C but a mate at work is wanting to tune the nuts off his Lupo. He's been looking at a turbo, but can only find german tuners at the min and can't seem to get hold of a price. I've told him to go for big cams and throttle bodies. Anybody got any ideas on what they'd do and who'd be able to do it. Cheers peeps RACK

Don't you hate it when someone steals your thunder!

A bloke at my work has bought himself a TVR Tamora, it's on it's second engine after not many miles at all! I think it's only done bout 9K  I always park mine so people can see at work and it gets some stares, but as I went for it yesterday dinner, a Porsche 911 was next to it. Yep I was slightly jealous  -
Sorry to bump this again, but which of two bits of casting need cutting off? I'll go and sit back down now in the corner with my pointy hat, with the D on it
-
I was thinking bout this, my powerflow is a bit loud! My mate say's it sounds like a chainsaw cutting through ice!! Think I might look into getting a magnex in the near future, I had one on my Mk1 and it was a work of art  and sounded awesome when I gave it some revs
-
Mine has the same problem. I disconnected the battery on the car left it for a while and then the alarm chirpped when I put it back on, it's now been a week and the chirps hav gone again. But the alarm still works fine. Sounds like another clifford gremlin
-
I sold my Mk1 to buy the C, but I still miss it like mad!! Thanks for the comment bout the White being nice, It would be better if it didn't need cleaning all the time  I've just found out that some more of this lovely re-surfacing will be happening round my area soon!!! What are they thinking!!!

My local council decided to do this to my street just as My Lharsa Green Mk1 Gti came out of the body shop :x Now they've just done it to the road you have to get down to get to my street  I know just how you feel mate, I have to turn the stereo up so not to hear the stones hitting the car!! What goes off in these peoples heads??
