  1. It's not as expensive as you might think. Try and PM G-Man or beavis. That's who I'm dealing with at the min, to get mine done. But I'm getting the bottom end done too.
  2. I take it, that the X-Flow head on a G60 would improve torque a fair bit then due the way the air flows through it?
  3. STEVEMAC Good call!!! Everytime I see her I just think about "From Dusk till Dawn" With that snake wraped round her!! PHWORRR!!!
  4. Would have to be Jenna Jamerson, or an equally filthy girl!!! But then again ultimate girlfriend material would be Kiera Knightly.
  5. I think he was in that group buy on the typeR forum. I'll get him to have a go this dinner if the lanes are clear. Plus the X-flow will be in soon so the C will put his CTR over it's lap and tan his ass!!
  6. I'm after a X-Flow too. Not sure what power to expect though, got any ideas BANANAMAN??? I spoke to him about the chip and he said it was a re-map done by hondata?? Hopefully I'll get him on the twisty stuff, because it's loads of tight corners and not much room to get out of the bottom end of the revs, but If not I'll just blame it on a slippy clutch or something (the joys of owning a 124K mile car, making up excuses why you lost and getting away with it  ) I'll let you all know when it happens RACK
  7. I'm sure he said it was Hondata, I'll make sure in a bit. It cost him £500 for the ecu to be sent away and done though. He's your typical max power nut. So will put any go faster gadget on the car. He's not that good a driver, but the car helps him out due to it revvin so high. I don't know that much about Hondas so wouldn't know what it needed to be able to rev to 9K, but I'll get him to take me out in it soon, so I can see. If I'm bored at dinner, I'll see what it's made of and let you know. 8)
  8. True, if money is no object. Turbo a VR6 or bang in a 20vT. Both are capable of around 400-500bhp.
  9. Right, I've got a little max power reader here at work who keeps challenging me with his CTR. He's done some things to it, Full Jap exhaust, Hondata ECU, and filter, and claims its pushing about 210-220bhp. Don't get me wrong the thing is quick and revs round to 9000rpm  But he reckons the torque is around 120-130lb/ft  Now I reckon upto 60 (which is only what he seems to care about) He'll whop me. But I think through the mid-range I should give him a good run for his money, and on the twisty up hill stuff near my work, due to my torque, plus his power not coming in till about 6000rpm? I'm running a 68mm pulley, chip, Full powerflow system, Jetex induction kit, and check valve. It will be a different story when the X-Flow goes in (Hello Darren and pitstop crew  ) Just wondered what you lot thought? Cheers peeps RACK
  10. I might be popping upto JBS this weekend so I'll have a look and see what they're planning.
  11. Nice one! How do I go about ordering them?
  12. Not sure about 16V. But I had a bit of a problem like that with my MK1. Try getting a new dizzy cap and rotor arm (about £12 for both). Sorted mine straight away. @Henny  8)
  13. Sorry it's took a bit of time, but.... Big thanks to PhatVR6 for the boost gauge!
  14. I don't think it's compulsary to have one on. BUT!!!!! If you do have one it must work?
  15. PhatVR6 Is this group buy still open? I'm getting fed up of my G60 splitting coolant hoses and would like a set.
  16. I had this problem the over the weekend. If what henny says doesn't have an effect try the vac pipe coming off the throttle body housing/ inlet manifold that goes down to the back of the cam cover. It's only about 2and half inches long. Made my car run like poop when it was split!! @ Henny No dis intended, I replaced that pipe you said first, but it didn't work cos I over looked the other one. P.S. Have you put that G60 badge on I sent you?

    Help!!!

I found out yesterday that I've got another split water pipe. It greated me just after racing my mate and his scooby to work, with a load of steam coming from under the bonnet and the look of my car pisn it's self. (That's the second time I've split a water pipe, the first was racing my other mates EVO6!!) Anyway, it turns out it's one of the heater hoses that goes from the engine block to the bulkhead. I've ordered the parts from the stealers (only £35 for the pair). The bit whats getting me is, how do I go about getting the pipe off at the bulkhead end, it's bang behind the coil :( Anyone got any tips?? Thanks loads RACK

    PSI!!!

From the sounds on it then it seems ok. I've got another problem at the minute now anyway. I've got another split water pipe!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!
  19. £15K!!! Probably 20v head on 1.9PG Block with forged pistons and slap a turbo on as well as the Supercharger!!!
  20. RACK

    PSI!!!

One more thing, on that VW video someone posted on here about fitting a boost gauge, the bloke on it said a standard charger should be between 0.6-0.8bar???
  21. RACK

    PSI!!!

I've got a jetex cone filter on it. I did notice that with my foot planted to the floor in 3rd, the boost went up really smooth and linear from 0.2bar to 1bar right near the red line. I've also got a check valve in place, so will that mean the boost won't be venting off? Thanks for the replies, I was bricking it at first thinking the charger was bayloxed!! RACK

    PSI!!!

I'm running a 68mm pulley. The boost gauge stops at 1bar and it was going all the way up there at 6000rpm. So I take it that my charger isn't good? :( :( Sorry forgot to mention the charger has been gas flowed too.
  23. RACK

    PSI!!!

Hooked up my boost gauge last night (Thanks PhatVR6) Just to see if my charger was still tip top. Just got a quick question, It was reading about 1bar at the top of the revs range (near 6000rpm). Does this sound right?? Cheers people RACK
