  5. Done...... I'll pm all soon :)
  6. Of course Diarmaid, and also of course Pete, I'll PM you later......not you D, I'll see you whenever:) Looks like one left
  7. No worries guys, I'll sort it this evening as I'm at work st the moment.....so strange being on the other side  , not used to being a seller
  8. We(myself and Goldie) decided to try these bonnet release cables from the USA, they were the ones being talked about recently, they needed the length modified to fit correctly, I test fitted one on my red VR to get the correct size and after a bit of trial and error it now works perfectly. There are 6 for sale, all have been cut to the correct length and are ready to fit Price is £30 collected or £32.50 delivered each
  9. Is the bracket that the mid seat section screws onto not missing from the flat bench type?
  10. The dye is great stuff, gonna be ordering a bit of black at some point to fix the worn bolster in the missus's car As for the red one, I'm fairly certain that it's going to be my daily, not quite yet but in the near future, it has various bad bits on it, small hole in the n/s sill at the front plus some rot around the filler cap(seems a very common issue) plus I'll need to swap both wings, one door and tailgate.......fortunately I have all this, barring a decent passenger wing, but that'll come. So it might be a bit mixed up colour wise but that's ok :)
  11. That does look rather high, I don't have any knowledge of the way it should be as I've never ran one on standard setup. I'm sure someone who does will confirm either way , good luck
  12. Ridiculous as in too high? I've a red VR here on standard setup and the rear arch gap is rather large......won't be like that when I start using it :) I'll post a pic to see if it's similar to yours
  13. I am a picture framer mate, and I collect art when I can , all my avatars are of stuff I have hanging about the house, the more abstract ones are not downstairs as the missus isn't a big fan of the weirder ones, the one there just now is by an artist called Frank McFadden Apologies to the op, this thread seems to have gone astray, please delete all this if necessary
  14. Ha ha, my garage is a fair size, although the rhs is given over to my home business, the twilight VR is in the other side, outside the Storm is under cover, beside that is the breaker, then the red VR I got recently and lastly, the oak green mk2......which I failed to mention when describing the wheel hoard  I never claimed to be sane :)
  15. Ha ha, you don't know the half of it mate, fairly sure there are 8 sets of Corrado size wheels, 3xspeedlines , 3xsolitudes,1xbbsrz,1xmonte-carlos(I think that's what they are called) not to mention the 2 spare sets of Audi wheels(my daily) and the 2 spare sets of seat wheels(missus's daily) If you want I could dig out a set of Speedlines and have the tyres removed, send you a few pics and then I'll come up with a price, if not, no stress, they can stay where they are
  16. That looks great mate, well done indeed 8)
  17. Great job mate, that looks like a different seat 8)
  18. Did a bit of painting tonight......rear beam off the Twilight and a set of tank straps for the Red one as I'll be dropping the fuel tank soon to access the filler area for a wee repair, no point putting the old rusty straps back on Beam was blasted a while back and has been in my workshop to keep it dry/warm and I went over the straps earlier with a wire brush on the grinder
  19. Thanks mate, slowly and surely it's going to happen :)
  20. Wee bit of progress on the Storm, as the weather has been good recently, my welder friend at long last surfaced from hibernation:lol: How the windscreen area looked after the screen came out The bottom section needed replaced The start of the repair New metal in at various places and bottom section replaced Still some grinding/sanding needed but it's solid again, painted with galvanising paint to keep it happy until then. Couple of small repairs on the n/s sill , out with the n/s rear window and the tailgate glass and barring a few wee fiddly bits it should be ready for painting :)
  21. Sorry, just spotted this, yes it hides the small cracks well, I've done 3 coats and I'm happy so far, very easy to use, I'm using a thin sponge. You just need to be careful that you don't let it pool in the corners/side of bolster area.
  22. I've a set or 3, but a bit far away :)
