Another wee update, started stripping the front end, both wings are rotten and there is a hole on the n/s sill where the wing attaches. Also I need to do the brakes and as Anna from VW heritage kindly sent me a pair of brake shields(which need fitted to show they are a proper replacement), I thought I might as well fit new suspension, which I have had lying about for ages, but as we all know, one job leads to another and I'm now faced with drilling out a broken bolt, it would be one of the brake shield ones as well  Radiator support is almost transparent so that needs replacing, new discs, pads, hoses, shields, wishbones (refurbished) and associated bushes. I'm hoping to leave the hub alone as I don't have any abs sensors and they can get swapped out later. Also need to sort out an oil leak(switch on the filter housing) , possible sump leak and there is some oil under the gearbox.......so not too much to do  Rotten Old v new, these are like Swiss cheese up close Welding required Bought a couple of years ago(hoarder), I do have rears too

They do indeed, just like the original ones :)

I will be mate, I'll try and get them off over the weekend and I'll check condition/fire you a couple of pics over :)

They arrived today Anna, and they look great, I can't imagine any reason why they won't fit? I gave them a wee test fit on a set of hubs I have sitting about but I will get them onto the car over the weekend:) Shields On the hubs

I can't wait until mine (any one) looks as good as yours mate. We are all the worst critic of our own cars, I'd take yours over most of the generic boxes littering our roads at the moment 8)

What did we miss? :)

Keep it, you'll only end up buying another in the future :)

Is that for the full front underside? I can't face looking at the bits on my phone lol, you wouldn't happen to have noted which ones are which, would you? :) -
Yes, I'm sure I can, I have discs/pads etc sitting waiting so can't see why not :)
-
Me :) I've actually been looking for a set and have the car in partial bits so fitting will(hopefully) be quick and easy........not usual Corrado terms mind you
-
The other set I got came from the USA, bought along with a couple of other bits to ease the postage pain

I think I might actually have a set of front shields attached to an old set of hubs, buried in my shed......I was just hoping someone had a pair lying about, not holding out much hope for the new bits :)

Ooft, they are nice, can't argue with that but I won't be going crazy, I'll wait n see if anything else pops up ........ like my lottery numbers
