  1. Well, the windscreen is out, it's as bad as I feared, if not worse.....usual story, replaced at some point in the past by a total idiot. Both A pillar trims stuck to the bonding and the top trim broken in half, very stuck to the bonding. Very rusty and a few holes, welder/body guy is fine about it though and he is currently removing the screen from the sacrificial car so he can cut bits out to weld in
  2. I took a couple of pictures that might help.......or not? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?92690-Comformation-needed-on-rear-VR6-badge-please/page2
  3. Trying to avoid the intricate masking that would be needed to retain the black parts, plus a sticker is reversible. That's how I see it anyway, others may differ :)
  4. Tried this tonight, not the best as I couldn't find my scalpel..... So had to use a blade only, looks better in the photo and I'm unsure how long it would last anyway. Didn't do any proper prep as this was only a first attempt, still hoping that the actual stickers can be sourced :)
  5. If you put up a picture and gave a little more info it would probably help you sell them. What Corrado model are they for? Miles done? Age? Location? etc :)
  6. I'm on my phone so can't see the above link. There are 3 separate items. Subframe, crossmember and radiator support. I can stick a few pictures up later this evening if it will help? :)
  7. I would have taken the drivers door had I known you were coming up here mate :(

    Wiper Upgrade

You really need 2xdrivers sides, not a normal set
  9. I had the mirror and torch plus I was nearly standing on my hands trying to see  Ended up removing the wiper linkage to get the first one and the second one was touch only as its the same amount in from both sides. The day it goes back in means it's painted and getting ready for driving so I'll worry about it then :)
  10. Thanks mate, I'm sure I'll come across a few challenges yet but I did manage to get the 2 nightmare bulkhead bolts for the dash out :)
  11. This area is where it usually sticks, although you might be unlucky and have more. Also if you look below where I'm pointing you'll see the inner arch bolt hole
  12. Possibly, where the wing meets the body at the bottom corner of the windscreen there is usually a bit there......I found it easiest to heat the outer wing with a heat gun(not a blowtorch) to soften the sealant ......I'll go and take a picture of the area I mean
  13. There is a bolt behind the arch lining, usually covered in underseal, there is another underneath where the wing is close to the door. Also, there are another 2 bolts that are hidden by the front bumper.....which you'll need to remove to get access. Best to support the engine when removing the bumper as the bolts for the bumper are the ones holding the front crossmember on, except for 2 small ones, which have been known to rust/weaken
  14. I knew you'd like them mate, knowing your a grey leather fan. You are right , it won't put me off, I'm going to remove all the remaining interior trim tomorrow including the dashboard ..... So the windscreen can get popped out, I guess I should order a heater matrix while I'm at it
  15. More mixed news(well bad news, but no time for negativity :) ) A quick look at the scabby top of windscreen showed up to be a nice bit of rust and a hole, evidence of rust all the way round. So it's windscreen out next.....Ho hum. Also took the crusty drivers side wing off, no way is that the original wing as there was no sticky stuff on it. Surprising lack of rust under there, I've got to the point I've got to expect the worst  Ignore the brakes/suspension as that's all for the bin The good news, I managed to get these for the Twilight VR, swapped my standard ones with Karmannski as he was too tall for these. Shipping both ways was a bit of a soap opera but happened eventually
  16. If you are just in need of a set to get it moving, I'm sure I've got a couple of spare sets which I could easily loan you until yours come back?
  17. Very nice indeed, can't believe I've not seen this in the flesh, given that we are both on the southside. Looking forward to see how the recaro wiring goes as I've a set on the way for my twilight VR :)
  18. Panjo will have added £3. I knew it would sell at that price.....seen rough ones going for silly money on eBay, and this is as close to perfect as you could get.
  19. Awrightmanhowyoudoin? :)
  20. It might be a lot worse than you think......Mine on my storm was very bad. What i thought was gonna be a smallish fix quickly became very bad. I hope yours is only local. You might be able to get a section cut from a breaker Edit: I was being forgetful lol, mine was very bad
  21. When I got this car, there was the obvious rust but the rear quarter above the fuel cap had weird laquer peel/paint issues all the way up to the roof. I put it down to the whole side having been sitting somewhere for years getting stonechipped/weathered. But after Ally(welder and general car hero) found a small crack in the metal of the window frame, a little further investigation found a previous repair job, and not a very good one at that Original picture Today's find
  22. Ha ha, I wondered when you might show up.....this is the halfwit who is fixing my car btw
  23. Yes, happened to me, only found it bad in the rain.......went through a big puddle and the car started running terrible, popped the bonnet and the coil pack was doing the blue spark dance :)
