  1. I wouldn't go that far! Then again I'd be gutted to part with mine... As much as i hate her sometimes....
  2. Good man! It'll be Tornado Red on a 1990, same as mine mate! Enjoy! Lets see some pics...
  3. Not had dealings as such, I was bidding on an item last year however, when these guys used to trade on ebay under the name vwmkIIgti or somesuch, whilst bidding, they had their account frozen, and were forced to cease trading under that name. Didn't lose money on the item, as it was withdrawn along with their account, but I've always steered clear, beacause they seem to have been thrown off ebay Other folks seem to have had no problem though, so it may be just me being over cautious...
  4. Just fitted my uprated loom and replaced the original bulbs for Halfords 50% brighter (dipped and main) and the difference is fantastic. They had a 2 for 1 offer on the H4's for the Dipped, and went for Super Blue H3's for the High Beam, as they had none others. Gotta say, for £60 inc loom, its an amazing upgrade....
  5. Ha! Glad its not just mine then! What were they smokin when they wired these babies up? Can see the point now of brake lights working with engine off. Me being a bit dense, not an uncommon occurence...
  6. Is this normal, even with the key totallt removed, the brake lights still light when the pedal's pushed. Any ideas anyone? Also, recently noticed, with the ignition on/engine running, the headlight switch only lights when sidelights are selected, and goes out when you select dipped beam. Then when you switch off the engine and remove the key, the light on the switch is lit in both positions (sidelights and dipped beam). Dodgy ignition switch maybe? And could a dodgy ignition switch cause the thing with the brake lights? Thanks in advance... :D
  7. Cheers for that! Handy link indeed... :D
  8. Morning all! Would anyone with access to a part number catalogue be able to help me out? I need a part number for a Secondary Air Pump for an '02 Bug. The friendly stealer kindly told me they are £330+vat new, and refused to tell me the part number. Which was nice of him. Also, are they interchangeable between models? (ie could I use one from an '02 MKIV Golf 1.8t for example?) Any help kindly apperciated as always... :D
  9. Top pic for sure. Lovin the drop, the bottom pic sits too low IMHO... Lovin the setting for the pic tho, lucky bugger. :D
  10. I'd hazard a guess at "seat back release lever" or some such. If not just explain to the parts desk at your local stealers. They'll know what you mean... HTH :D
  11. Most of the last Corrado's were on an N reg (1995-1996), but a few came out on P reg plates, (1996-1997). I guess there was a delay in having these few registered, and as such they're a bit of a rarity... HTH. :D
  12. Why not use both, Noisefiller with teh VAG stuck on top of it. That way you've covered soundproofing from all angles. You could i suppose, just don't know how well the Noisekiller would adhere to the VAG soundproofing?
  13. Agreed it is good stuff, but for a good fit you really need to take time to make templates from the underside of the bare bonnet. Unless you could use the original VAG kit you bought as a template, use the noisekiller, and return the VAG stuff for a refund? Good luck either way...
  14. Most of the rattling in mine comes from in the boot area. Think it may need the rear axle bushes replacing. Drives me barmy, but then again, she is 18 in Jan!
  15. Good work! Glad to hear you ditched the bodykit! :pukeright: Good luck with the rest of it... :D
  16. The little bugger must 've ducked.
  17. Mine are 16x7.5 on 205/40/16's, and there is no stretch, there's still plenty of sidewall too. You positive the rims are 7.5j? Hope this helps.
  18. Mine suffered this and I was convinced it was the tappets, turned out to be a cracked exhaust manifold, I checked for any evidence of gasses leaking, but mine had gone underneath where you couldn't see. However, the running wasn't affected so....?
  19. Thought it was Black!! Lovin it all the same. Looks 8)
  20. Had mine out on Sunday, there's a broken cross member toward the back of the seat bottom, gonna have to be a weld up repair i think. Cheers for the kind offer Toad, but, as they aren't interchangeable, I don't think its gonna be of much use. Bloody Corrado's! :(
  21. Likin the all black look 8) They D90's?
  22. I'm gonna attempt this soon, got the spray tint, got the wet and dry, just gotta get the laquer. Goldie what laquer did you use? Any tips on which is best? Also, what did you do with the bulbs? Green glass paint? Or replace for led bulbs and a resistor? Cheers, and sorry for the hijack! :D
