HI Thank you, What about the threaded bolt at the gearbox end that you attach the earth strap to. Does that come out with the starter. My KR is a 1991 16V.

Hi How many places is the starter motor held in. I have removed the bolt going thru the front engine mounting and the long one at the bottom. Then tried to hammer it out but it does not move. Please help. Cheers.

Hi I take it you mean the engine does not crank. In my case, If I remove the black plug and spray switch cleaner into the plug and onto the connectors on the ignition switch, and push the plug back on, the engine cranks. The black plug has two notches, make sure they get locked in properly. I am putting away changing the ignition switch because there is a tiny screw that is difficult to get to.

Hi What car is it? What is the mileage? How long have you been driving it? How long was your sisster in charge of it? Can your sister tell us how often she used it, how she drove it, when she last drove it? Does it crank but not firing?

You may just need to change the voltage regulator which on a bosch alternator is just 2 screw jobby.
