  1. would love to see this in the metal!!!!!
  2. sounds like someone is up to their usual tricks!! 11.5s and berg cup arches :notworthy:
  3. but you have got a US bumper  Very true but 50% of these people then failed to realise the whole car is American spec. At edition i even had one person ask where i got all my US spec parts and what it was like driving left hand drive :cuckoo:
  4. haha i have had the is it a scirocco question but my current favourite is people 'in the know' telling me i have a US spec front bumper.
  5. 90spec doors + the CL arch spats then? that works really well i saw a really nice oak green golf at edition with that set up. Its one of those strange things that really gets me is people who have small bumper thick side trims, 1/4 windows and big bumpers. Obviously its a free country but i just think it looks a bit wrong. dave
  6. both exactly the same just that 027 was used on early models and was superceeded by the 049 which has a black ring around the base and is used on mk2/3 16v and a huge number of audis an seats to. dave
  7. Me to, had several of them but not a white one. Engine bay looks sweet. question about the bodywork , please tell me that you have got the later spec 1 piece window doors and 90spec trim to match the big bumpers. Looking forward to more updates, you might want to share this on the mk2 owners club - http://www.vwgolfmk2.co.uk as far as im aware i think we only have about 5 or 6 G60 powered mk2s signed up so far!! DAVE (kerrly1 on mk2oc)
  8. you were lucky, Note to self-> change mine at some point for peace of mind. Dave
  9. not a dead crank pulley???? dave
  10. That'll be Kerrly! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=94670 how did i miss this!!?? YEP that was me, i was heading down to swansea that day and i must admit i was daydreaming a fair bit and annoyed as i should have blasted down the A38 instead. Remember seeing a few people who were staring for ages but TBH it gets a bit embarressing people pointing saying "he is on the wrong side" At Edition 38 there was a chap there with a left hand drive nugget yellow 16v which was a Polish import, real nice guy but i didnt get his name - he also has a yellow right hand drive 16v an a couple of sciroccos - if you are on here HELLO - nice to meet you and i did have a look at your car, very nice!! DAVE
  11. DIdnt get to see your car on the speedlines but it was good to catch up with you and Kempy. Dave
  12. yo, the cold air feed is just a rather large diametre section of flexible piping that will go from behind the bumper/inside the inner wing (havent decided yet) and the feed up into the large hole that the carbon canister lives in at the moment - imagine this hole empty and a chunk of Doubt il get a chance to do this before E38 as spending loads of time cleaning at the moment, trying to make the most of the engine bay at the min. DAVE
  13. Saw a bright red corrado in stroud turning into the estate by the Peugeot garage on saturday afternoon.... i was waving in the yellow one. dave
  14. right, now i have a real problem. At the moment the car has the speedline alloys on, which i like but are not perfect -id like to refurb them. So today whilst massively hung over from having had far too much beers at a local beer fest i decided to start painting... The set of Sebrings i had on the corrado originally are now BWM grey mettalic and a set of BBS RZ 15x7 BMW fitment have also arrived (£23 bargain on ebay) should have them finished painted by thurs/fri but missing a centre gap:cry: so what to wear to edition38 at the weekend DAVE
  15. Lovely car, it looks very straight and great wheels on it! BUT What he hell is going on with the ginger man in the background
  16. im slightly biased and will say nugget ought to be my first choice as i have one! BUT nugget aside its got to be 1)Dark Burgandy Pearl 2) Light Grey Metallic 3) Mytic blue DAVE
  17. nice couple of corrados, your Storm is sweet, dont get too carried away with the lowering then if you dont want to sacriffice too much ride comfort. For what its worth my brother is running Weitec shocks and springs 60mm drop and the ride is very good. Oh an the cayenne - id def like the yellow callipers and brake set up off that!!! dave

    BTCC

The best BTCC, so much aggressive skillful driving with some fantastic battles and some funny off roading experiences. I used to really enjoy the variety of cars that entered BTCC so find the current racing quite dull in comparision as there arent enough different manufactures anymore. dave
  19. that is stunning, the paintwork has come up really well!! i have to say the recaros are quite special and are by far the comfiest seat i have come across but those S3 leathers :luvlove: its a tough call. dave
  20. the G60 press car F546 DNV was the one ragged by Tiff on Top gear - he had it on 3 wheels and gave it a hell of good thrashing. I always wondered if VW had done any work eg smaller pulley or something on it as the charger definately sounded quite whiney and loud compared to standard ones.... dave
  21. smart wheels . you are definately suffering the same problem as me with the scary high suspension height. Should look sweet when its a few MM toward the ground!
  22. well the scrap yard turned up a little gem today... a set of of 16x7 speedline turinis in pretty dam good condition with 195/45 tyres. Personally i think they are a good modernisation of the sebring style. The problem now is they really do highlight the rather high suspension so something will have to be done about this, im also thinking about trying my BBS RZs on it to as my brother has just done this to his mk2!! DAVE
  23. Yep, and mine is exactly like the one in the brochure, well apart from ive put spacers on the back wheels to make them fill the arch a little better. Dave
  24. i have the whole magazine available which i will make into a PDF but here is the corrado + G60 section for now. ENJOY DAVE
  25. Yo, i am in the process of scanning all the booklets, brochures, adverts that i have been given by my uncle. All from 1989-1991, some from VW others from American car magazines at the time. A European sports car and more Prob easiest to save them then you can zoom in. in less someone knows how i can have a thumbnail size in the tread and full size available if you click. dave
