  1. Bit of cheap bling really Also when the weather is wet some types of shoes and the worn smooth plastic originals and the worn smooth metal throttle = very slippery and dangerous. If your hoof slips off the brake when heading to a roundabout or t-junction at, ahem, enthusiastic speeds you go :shocked!: and then a little :pale: had it happen to me once
  2. When i did it i cut the lump off of the brake pedal and used no more nails super clear adhesive to bond the pedals on, should be easy enough to remove if the pedals wear out. The best combo of parts is 2 clutch pedals and 1 throttle pedal from a left hand drive/automatic TT. The left hand drive TT throttle pedal is larger than the right hand drive pedal and fits the corrado much better. All reasonable money at the dealers.
  3. Fitted my new 50mm front spoiler (cheers Andy665) as i was sick of my 90mm snow plough digging up the road and scooping up road kill. Bolted on propper now instead of with cable ties and wing and a prayer. Changed black angel eye head lights back to original lights with black interior details. Replaced rear brake lines with some copper ones. The old lines failed my mot. When i cut the old lines open they were mint with nice thick walls. :mad2: Replaced outer cv boot after mot guy ripped the old boot apart. :mad2: Fitted a mk1 golf alloy water flange to the side of the head after the plastic one started leaking... AGAIN! Thats the 3rd one in 18 months and they were all genuine vw parts. I hope that is the last time i have to go near the flange of doom. Stripped out dash ready for JSB shift lights to arrive. Skinned my knuckles a few times just for good measure.
  4. i'll take one please :luvlove: i keep reving the arse off my car since i got more boost and a raised limiter  Cheers.
  5. Congrats, nice car. Tidy set of wheels on her too. Looks good with the red rears and rubbing strips removed. I had a white G60 once and i loved it.
  6. A few things you could check... Is the pump bolted to the block tight. There is a rubber sealing ring inside the pump where it sits against the engine block. Maybe worn or perished. The gasket that is part of the water pump between the 2 halves of the pump. (went on mine) Are the 2 halves of the pump bolted together tightly.
  7. Yes same things have happened to me. Im sure that parked corrados do seem to attract idiots :| Had my front wing bent in by a neighbor, she payed cash for the damage so i had the front bumper and bonnet done at the same time  Then about 2 months later she reversed into the rear bumper, shes paying cash again so im gonna get the mirrors painted too. I always notify my insurance so that the incident is logged down, just in case she refuses to pay. This last time i ran out of the house shouting at her reversing and then, crunch!, she wound down the window and said ohh touch it up with a paint can and then drove off! :bad-words: I have lost count of the times that people have opened their car doors into mine while ive been sat in the car. The latest one was last week when a car full of blokes pulled up next to me outside my local co-op and there was literally 10 inches between the cars, i then watched in horror as the driver and rear passenger opened their doors straight into my car and were actually trying to squeeze out of their car :cuckoo:
  8. A few interesting 02S related links. http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9163&hl=gearbox http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?cmd=print&id=3302920 http://www.vwcaddy.com/showthread.php?t=13581
  9. Here are a few photos i found on the net. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf02S.jpg[/attachment:2phdt15s] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf02S - GEARBOX.jpg[/attachment:2phdt15s] 02S - GEARBOX2.jpg[/attachment:2phdt15s]
  10. Might have a try at this conversion at some point. Curious about how much torque an 02S can handle. Here is some info on 02S ratios, cars they were in etc. www.turbo-conversion.com
  11. Fitted sns 5.5 chip, bosch red top injectors, alloy strut brace, relocated bonnet lifter due to clash with strut brace , re-routed vac lines, re-routed cable harness around drivers side strut top due to re-located bonnet lifter, modified jabba filter shied due to bonnet lifter, relocated dump valve closer to throttle body, taxed car, put 2 new front tyres on. Need to do the timing tomorrow, took it out earlier and its fueling much better than before = more boost dialed in on the greddy
  12. Congrats  2 weeks off, sweet. Little un's sleep a lot which is cool, mine did, so plenty of time in between feeds and bum changes to get some corrado work done.
  13. Saw that earlier today and thought to myself whoever made that must have owned a corrado at some point. Someone buy it and restore it, now!
  14. Gave the throttle body some love today :luvlove: SNS 5.5 red top chip installed. and the red tops, cheers Riley 8) tomorrow should be fun
  15. do you use metal headgasket in your g60?[/quote:3cpq0uvt] The Elring set i use comes with a multi layer steel headgasket, valve stem seals, cam shaft seal, 2 different inlet manifold gaskets, 2 different exhaust gaskets, exhaust manifold to downpipe multi layer steel gasket and a rubber camshaft cover gasket. Bought my set from here
  16. Personally ive always used elring gasket sets.
  17. Ive just looked at the link, same thing happened to a g60 of mine, the small belt snapped and destroyed the internals of the charger, car ran but charger was making a right nasty noise, scrolls knocking about inside. If driving it i would bypass the charger belt and re-route air as i said above.
  18. Its possible that small fragments of alloy, apex seals, oil etc might have entered the engine. If your lucky they will have only got as far as the intercooler. Remove all outlet pipes from the charger to the throttle and check them for debris. When driving you will be sucking air through the damaged charger and intercooler, are you bypassing the charger belt? i say this because if not more debris may get passed into the engine. I would rig up a pipe from the throttle to an air filter to bypass the damaged parts completely. If you do this make sure you put the co pot somewhere in the flow of air. Another thing to check for is the oil ways in the charger, depending on the damage inside the charger they could be leaking engine oil into the chargers case.
  19. Replacing the crank seal / gasket behind the flywheel might be worth doing. Have a good look behind the flywheel for signs of oil. I removed my gearbox a while back, installed a new gearbox and 1 month later had a major oil leak on the crank end gasket. pic :bad-words: Also check the clutch and pressure plate for wear, cracks and over heating. If you do all of this you will also need to replace the flywheel bolts and the pressure plate bolts. This was on my G60, i am not %100 sure if VR's use the same end seal / gasket setup.
  20. Luv that! i once had a white G60, and if id had the money at the time it would of ended up looking something like that, sweetness. :luvlove:
  21. Running a vw gamma head with an ipod adapter here  shes a beast, does the job and i never have to worry about it being robbed.

    G60 fuel pump

Holy thread resurrection  Im doing this next week, if i tap the external pump into the electrics of the internal pump will this be ok? would i need to uprate the fuse or relay? Cheers.
  23. So sad, i feel for you, i would be :censored:'ing devastated! It's not the cars value, it's all the hard work that go's into the car that can't be valued by any insurance company, damn those pesky lorry drivers! (no offense to any lorry drivers on here   )
