or the time or inclination I suspect, but it wasn't a criticsm or what I was getting at tbh. Rather, just an observation that the majority of Corrado owners, according to this forum's activity at least, aren't interested in the tech stuff, or at least they don't show an interest. A sub forum, or a new forum dedicated ONLY to technical stuff (turbo conversions, 4x4, twin engines etc etc) would be a small one for sure, but a highly interesting one :D I read in the back of Redline this month of one Mr Gunns and his Haldex'd Corrado. 605hp, crazy fast machine, but he's not on here or any other Corrado forum. Would love to pick his brains on a few things! Im all for that although the majority of my posts recently have been "styling" based. Love reading the engineering biased topics.

Looking good, was thinking of doing that myself. What did you use? Might be worth getting a smoked front numberplate as well.

Car looks good, are they Rota's?

Good to see youve still got this. I been through about 10 cars since my red 16v!!!

Anyone fitted a sump guard or know where they may be such a thing. Im probably going back to 15in wheels and when they were fitted the sump was only about an inch or so of the ground. I might just raise the front as the wishbones are not level but something like this would still be nice. Ive also just been told that an R32 sump will give more clearance, is that correct?

Cars looks good. Very tempted to get a set of Solitudes on my car now as im not taking to the 17's.

Nice, I bet it feels completely different now.

Youve got to love polishing with 2 red cars!!! Wheels look massive on the Corrado.
-
:D Mine is not quite so loud but not far off.

I used one a while back with no problems but the only real benefit is they are reusable.

They were 17in actually. Car needs set up as its sitting toe out with camber a bit of as well.

Audi S3 or SEAT Ibiza Cupra ? Discuss.....
coullstar replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
Well Ive had both a sorted Cupra R and S3 and the S3 was far better overall. The Seat was ok but a bit cheap inside and a feckign nightmare to drive in the wet or greasy roads. Fast but the S3 is a better overall package HOWEVER you must sort the suspension and get it remapped otherwise they do feel a bit bland. -
This car but with 90mm spoiler and possible short plate. download/file.php?id=55881&mode=view

What can I use a pair of alloys for that nobody wants?
coullstar replied to was8v's topic in General Car Chat
Just Ebay them as people often buy spares in case they damage or have damaged there own wheels. -
Ive only got an old digital camera and the phones crap so not sure I will be able to do that.

You've owned a Phaeton?! :) ;) I did say about but there is time yet. 8 (Mk2, 3, 4 & 5) Golfs, 1 Polo, 1 Passat and Im on my 5th Corrado so not far off

TSR did new suspension, some lumpy cams, bored to 1.9, fancy pistons and rods and presumably removed the rev limiter, I'd imagine the head had a little bit of work too. They reckoned 185bhp which sounds about spot on for a strong fettled valver, would make a loverly track day car. Im glaod they kept it a 16v. Strangely about the only VW's I havent owned is a Mk2 16v and a Mk1. In fact Ive never even sat in a Mk1.

Believe me mine sounds amazing with a Magnex and decat so this will be even better. The first drive is brilliant.

Only caught the last minute where he did the lap. What did they do to it? Oh and Ive entered as well.

Ive done a search but couldnt find anything conclusive. Im looking for either some battery brackets to move it inboard so I can run a cold air feed just past the battery or relocate the whole lot into the boot. 1. Are there brackets available or is it a one of job? 2. What would be involved in relocating and is there an off the shelf kit to do this?

Oh dear.

Makes you wonder what the state the original was like inside if its made that much of a difference.
