  1. Thanks. Must be even better with the R32 in, you will enjoy. Its lost the VR growl and roughness but sounds like a mini R32 with Milltek exhausts.
  2. Many Raddo's over there. Im doing some work in Stavanger and saw one there.
  3. Oops yeah. Thanks for the comments. The car itself still needs a fair bit of work doing till Im happy both cosmetically and mechanically. No real other photos as I didnt get any done during the conversion, they did ask but I wasnt too bothered. The whole bay and engine was cleaned prior to fitting so its spic and span in there for the moment. Probably going to take the cover of though as Im not overly keen. Oh and the avatar is actually my supermoto race bike, a converted 450SX. Superduke is purely for the road but is equally as amazing. Some other photos
  4. Went out for the first "proper" drive tonight and point to point its way way faster than before. The engine just pulls so much stronger and its doesnt half sound good. Ive stripped out the interior so the exhaust is pretty loud. Needs new brakes though. Ive got Pagid FR pads to fit and suspension geometery needs setting first.
  5. Yeah PSI did it. I almost bought Stans when he sold it and they came with some good rep. This is the 5th theve done I think. I would have liked to have done it myself but I hate wiring with a passion plus I dont have a garage and live in a flat so even though I did pay a lot it is worth it. I got the Custom Code Phase 2 remap as I have a decat plus a new clutch. After selling bits from my old engine it should come in to just under £4k including van hire, diesel etc. Not cheap but hey you only live once and it only took about a month.
  6. Long, Im already on beans on toast to pay for the conversion!!
  7. Well obviously everyone is out enjoying the great day. Wee update on the car. Picked up some Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's for a steal however they were gloss black so I painted them Satin black. I think they look not too bad. Took a little trip yesterday (well 800miles rounds trip :cuckoo: ) to a well known tuner down south where my car has been for the past 4 weeks. Pretty boring drive but something followed me up the road Fitted the wheels this morning and went for a drive to get some pics. Wanted to back to 17's as I need some extra sump clearance plus I'll need some bigger brakes because of this :D It was well worth the money, so much better than the 12v.
  8. You can get the headlights lenses from GSF car parts. I got two news ones a couple of months ago.
  9. V nice, loved my silver one. I bloody love how the brakes totally fill out the wheels. I was going to go 288 but I think 312's will be on the cards now.
  10. Nah there fine. Et25 and 7in wide IIRC. Better than the original wheels.
  11. Thanks. Its UK only. I take that you need pretty hefty straps then to tie down? Hiring a van as I was aware pulling the trailer with the Golf would not be on.
  12. Be careful though as some aftermarket wheels need the straight taper bolts and not the spherical radius ones that VW use.
  13. He actually traded the Enzo for the Veyron. Started up his own company a few years ago and sold it on for £20m. You guys need to move to Aberdeen, there is no such thing as the credit crunch up here and Im pretty sure there never will be until the oil runs out. As for 4x4's depreciation, serves them right for buying them in the first place.
  14. Yeah thats exactly what Ive got but with 4 nearly new tyres for not much more. Will try this chemical metal on one letter first then spray them satin black to see what its like. Hopefully these will be as light as the 1's.
  15. Might be trailering my Corrado ~400miles next week and Ive never done this before. Ive got a shot of a trailer from a friend and hiring a van to tow with however im not sure if there are any legal requirements as to how the car must be secured. I was just going to leave it in gear, handbrake on, possibly wheel chocks and ratchet straps front and rear to the towing eye's. Is this sufficient as I cannot think of anything else?
  16. From pictures the writing would appear to deep for turining down, liking the idea for sanding the rim though. Might just give it a try.
  17. Well I got them so we'll find out soon enough. Total bargin price as well.
  18. Does that bond ok, dont want it dropping out?
  19. Like these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/17-TEAM-DYNAMICS- ... 286.c0.m14
  20. Might have the chance of some Pro Race 1.2 17in alloys and whilst i like the look Im not to keen on the writing round the rim, just seems bit naff to me. Going to have them in matt black if I do buy so might try and see if I can fill them in with something. Does anyone know of a filler etc that I could fill in the writing with then sand back before painting? Also do you think matt black would look ok on a Dragon green car?
  21. Dont bother, such an easy job its not worth paying through the nose to get it done.
