  1. Shit!! Unlucky. That looks like a dressed up Feeste to me. Probably drum brakes on the front as a token gesture.
  2. Thats just a warm air pipe for in the winter. What to do is fill up with petrol, reset you tacho, run it till ~1/4 tank left then fill it up and note how much you put in. Use this to work out how many litres, convert to gallons then you can get your mpg.
  3. Is that the MFA reading? My average reads 26mpg but when you work it out its normally 35pmg.
  4. I get an average of about 35mpg but the MFA says 26mpg. Just put in £35 and that was for 325miles. For £40 I normally get 360-380miles. Still think it aint running right though.
  5. Bugger, its an 8v. I thought it was a 16v.
  6. I take that will be new? I was only really interested as I am sure the guy would give it to me for next to nothing.

    Awesome

Nice apart from the snow plough on the front.
  8. Is it worth just fitting one of these on it own? Theres a guy at work with one on his Golf that has been sitting idle for a couple years and I was thinking of asking if he would sell it. I am sure it a Magnex one. Will it improve torque in anyway as I need more torque!!!
  9. Cheers. Just ordered some. Are these not the guys whos place burnt down last year?
  10. Just found them (FK) but they only say 10mm lowering. The others are more I think.
  11. Who supplies those Bonrath/JOM lowering caps for the front suspenion? I have found Venom but surely they arent the only ones.
  12. Bored so I decided to paint the reflector black. Not sure if I like but its too late now. What do you think?

    rear bumper

Mmmmm, not sure about it then. I know most folk wouldnt notice it sticking out slightly but I would which would bug me.
  16. Thats why you use 45/40 profile for 16". Where are you by the way D.fish?

    rear bumper

Will a new style VR rear bumper fit my 91 16v? I think its just the shell so it it easy to change the mountings over?
  18. Basically you get what you pay for. The established brand like BBS & OZ are pretty good and often light compared to standard wheels although the your wheels at the moment are about as heavy as you can get. Most are really for show not go. Some wheels like compomotive and the split rim BBS were originally for motorsport but are now used by guys on the street. 16's are the best compromise between looks and handling. Some on here say that because it came from the factory with 15" wheels they are best but personally I think thats pish. Best thing to do is look through the members gallery and see what wheels you like best. There are thousands to choose from and ebay is ok but be careful of the condition of some of the wheels. The buy it now are probably large shops clearing out unwatnted stock. Best size I think is 7.5x16" for the Corrado with a offset of 30.
  19. Or this http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitments.html 4x100 PCD, ET35-42 and centre bore 54mm.
  20. Its a bitch to do so make sure you dont get any on the body work but seeing as your car is black it wont be to bad. Any shoe dye should work. I used the little bottle from Woolworths with a home made applicator sponge. Make sure you have a fairly dense sponge as the dye soon breaks it up. The guys on Clubgti swear by this method.
  21. Kiwi shoe dye (not polish). Only needs doing about 2 times a year. Ive tried them all and Autoglym snot is ok but soon washes off after heavy rain. This was on my mk2 as well and you know how much plastic they have.
  22. I looked at these a while ago on german ebay. They were 8x15" with ET25 I think. Didnt get them in the end as I think you really need to have the car dropped onto the wheels for it to look ok. Still really like them but cannot justify buying a new set. The 15" help with cheaper rubber.
  23. Dont buy it anyone!! I had to get the sill replaced then two years later my brother had to get the same. There was just something not right about the car. Still miss it though.
  24. M958 RFS - 8valve dragon green (sold in Dunfermline area) J221 LGA - G60 white (sold to Town & County, Aberdeen)
