Nice, I may get one of these little buggers. Pocket Rocket!! -
It always been like this. I think it may be the lack of torque thats annoying. Off cam its just pathetic. Above 4krpm its pulls but still nothing to shout about. I love the car but I need a bit more in the engine department. Maybe have to look for a 2l bottom end me thinks, throttle bodies ......

Does your car just feel slow? I have had the car for about 2 months now and I am really dissapointed to how slow the car is. Its running alright as far as I can tell. Its no quicker than my old 8v Golf. :( Just getting really frustrated. Seriously thinking about getting another Golf.

Everytime I see that car I just wanna rip my side trim off and get a debadged grill. What grill spoiler is that? If I was to get another Mk2 I would go for silver again. Its the best colour as it looks good when polished, compliments the black trim and hides scratches really well. Plus the orginal silver ones are quite rare.

The halfords one are actually very subtle. You can hardly see the sign as is a very slight change in colour and you have to be about a foot away to even see the sign. I was the same but they are pretty good. Think they cost £25.
-
Do they generally no cause more trouble if you put bigger wheels on? By bigger I mean Dia and width.
-
Sorry but just aint seeing it. Great for the missus though. Hope that aint your Range Rover because you must have to much money if it is.
-
You dont need the compressors till the struts are off the cars. Basically undo the top mount nut, then the two strut/hub nuts and the whole shabang can be removed.
-
Cool. Fancy taking some orders?
-
Jesus, you guys have spent more money keeping the car going than I did buying mine and keeping it running for 3 months. Touch wood there is nothing needed in the foreseeable future either. Looks like the early 16v were built ok then.

The Scirocco thing is what I always get. Its great to go into work with an Hreg car (oldest car in the car park) and people only think its 5 or so years old. They always say "why drive an old car, it must be knackered?" BECAUSE NEW CARS BORE ME!!! Lets see what thier Focui, Vectra's etc are like in 14 years time.

Sunday is suppose to be ok. http://www.metoffice.com/weather/europe ... tland.html

I had my emissions tested today with the following results: CO2 - 0.24% HC - 237ppm. These seem ok? The CO2 seems a bit low to me and should be around 2%. Does this mean the car is running lean? The fuel comsumption is still a bit shit according to the MFA with an average of 27-27mpg with mainly A road and motorway driving. Will it make a difference if I get the CO2 set to 2%? Cheers It was done at the garage right across from my work and apparently thr guy has a concourse Mk1 Campian ans has just fitted a 20vt to his mates Mk1 that they are away to supercharge.

£200 odd for a set of lights. Save the money I would say.
-
What about Awesome. I remember getting one for my G60 a few years back.
-
How much is it again for the track on Sunday. Tempted but its a long way from home.

Integrale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if you look at the inlet manifold then he doesnt have the small casting button on No.1 cyl and it looks like a 52mm manifold i.e bulges out after plugs. I thought they were only fitted to 2l.

I sold my white 8v 3dr with 92k for £1150. It had uprated suspension, exhaust and cam etc. I could have probably sold it for 100-200 more though.
-
Does your car have a CAT? I thought the 1.8 16v didnt.
-
oh my. That one on the right is fapping amazing.
-
I did but not to much. On rears just do what Mike said. The rears are more important as the car essentially rides on them.

Red Jreg in Tesco petrol station, Kingsway Dundee. Had Porcshe Turbo alloys. Looked v.nice.

CAPS LOCK OFF!!! When was the charger last serviced? They should be done every 50k miles or so. With that sort of mods it will be close to 200bhp. Not to clued up on the G60 (despite owning one a while ago) but fom reading stuff on this forum its seems G-Werks and SNS are the guys to look for in terms of more/reliable power. Any pics??

Personally I think they looks shit full stop. From reading above about the bike accident then this should be reason enough.
