They are called spigot rings by the way. I had this on my Mk2 with a set of ATS Cups where the wheel came loose and almost fell off. There was a big debate on the clubgti forum about these and it came down to the fact that you should run the wheels with the correct rings.

Anybody used them? I am taking my brother down to the airport next week and thought I would use them to change my systems tailpipe. RMS Engineering is the name.

It look like a double adaptor i.e. the first adaptor is bolted to the hub using 4 bolts and the second bolts to the first with the odd placed bolts that allow a final 5 x 100 PCD. Would you not have to use a higher offset due to the adaptor ie more then 35mm. Also not sure how safe that would be. Good idea as I would love to put a set of TT competition wheels on.

The head on my car was rebuilt last summer by the previous owner and I have noticed a few wee niggles with it that I am a little unsure about as I dont know much about the KR 16v. First off I appear to only be getting an average of 26mpg even when driving sensibly. Second the car sounds like it is misfiring very slightly on cold starts. Third after driving 50miles to work if I go out at lunch the car takes ages to fire and is reluctant to fire, its as if the engine is flooding. I also seem to be getting a coolant warning intermittently. I have checked the plugs and they are all the grey colour as normal. The only thing I have done is remove the airbox snorkel.

Mmm not sure about that. I do like the letterbox style but they are pretty common. I am wanting a back to basic look which is why I was considering the single round pipe as I am putting G60 steelies on it. It has to be a slash cut as I dont like inward/outward rolled pipes. Is there a place in Aberdeen that does this stuff as I may be heading up in the next couple of days? The exhaust was built in Perth.

What about these - all with slash cut pipes. Standard Square Rect Oval Round
-
Ive done a search but there down not seem to be a topic on exhaust tailpipes. What I am looking for is pics of peoples tailpipes (oooer!) for some inspiration. Mine is currently square :( and I am looking for something different. The system is quiet which is why I am going to change the tailpipe and nothing else. No DTM though as they are nasty!!

Looking good. Nice wheels but I would take the BMW badge out of them (if it is a BMW badge). Bet it handles real nice with the Leda's.

I have one one the corrado but the previous owner has had a square inward rolled tailpipe put on it. Can powerflow just change the tailpipe. I fancy a single 2.75" slash cut round pipe or maybe a small oval but I think that has been done to death. If anybody has had this done then how much did the charge? Thanks

That blue Corrado in pics 22 looks amazing. Anymore pics of it? New Golf in very nice as well.

Nice one. Any more thoughts on the exhaust routing?

I got 2 G-Max front dampers from Larkspeed for only £83 inc del. You can order online as well.

I am steadily getting used to the new Golf. GTi should be pretty good in my opinion.

The A2 is the Golf Mk2 in the states

Whats the speed sensor feed for? I dont seem to have a blue & white wire. :?:

Good man :D What the hell did we ever do before these forums!
-
Right guys I need your help. When I bought the car there was not a stereo and this is what I am left with. Do you know what wires go to which speakers? The list is as follows Grey & Black x 2 Green & Black x 2 Red Brown & Red,Black,White & Blue Blue Red & Green Blue & Green The grey and black seem to go to the back speakers where they are wired to the green & blue and Brown & Red wires on the right. The guy had a set of shelf speakers that are missing as well.

Nice wheels. Where did you get them and how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking?
-
How much are your standard number plates?

That 2nd one down (spaceframe marron) is being built by a guy on the Glubgti forum. Treny Tramp is is username. From memory its a 2l with supercharger and turbo (a la Delta S4) running throttlebodies as well. He was posting last night that his custom built carbon airbox just blew up like a ballon when the engine was started. Sounds like a serious piece of kit.
-
Bugger, all the guys on the Clubgti website reckon they look sh*te. Decisions, decisions. I always like to be a little different which is why I thought of this. Dont want it to look to max poo.

Are you sure its the split rims? Sounds to cheap to me.

Mk2's rock!!!! I would prefer a G60 myself as the extra weight of the VR may upset the handling but as PhatVR6 has pointed out its still very good. Mk2's are easy to work on, cheap for parts, great handling and easlily driven quickly. They are the perfect everyday car in my opinion.
