After spending insane amounts of money on rare guitars, I thought a little (picture-less) update was in order to kickstart myself for the long winter Corrado love-in. I am on the lookout for a VR6 Steering wheel as the leather has worn through on mine... anyone? Also, the charger will most likely be coming off within the next couple of months, so this is a heads up in case anyone was interested in securing it early...:(

I'd probably have preferred to go Rotrex tbh as you can get more power and the grunt is there low down, but the Vortech does have its benefits (mainly being cost) and it still makes a savage car! I have the older V1 charger with straight cut gears, so it whines loudly and sounds like a jet engine taking off when it comes on boost :norty: . It's a Stage 2, with Schimmel 263s for good measure. Goes like a stabbed rat!

Stealth racing supply them (Mocal). My temps are now like a standard VR6 :). I know a few other guys here (Rotrex charged) are using a Water/Methanol injection kit too in order to keep the temps down. I spoke to Vince about it and he didn't recommend it for my Vortech V1.

Anyone notice the camera vibrating like crazy during the in-car driving bit? GSF mount or VT? :)

Heat mainly, an oil cooler is a must! I'm still slightly worried at how hot the engine bay gets, tempted to cut a big hole in the wing or something!!

Fingers crossed for you that it all goes smoothly, you've also done the right thing by getting a new clutch. Mine is slipping like a biatch now, so just about to book the car in for a Helix Organic at The Phirm. I know of a used clutch for sale but they didn't want to fit it. £700 all in :(
