  1. Whoops, sorry I meant both! If you were ever in the lakeside area I could fund your petrol unless you'd prefer to post (don't mind either way) Nick
  2. Would definitely take it if you were able to post... don't think I have any free time for a road trip anytime soon :(
  3. 6th Corrado?! Sucker for punishment eh? ;) There is something very special about these cars, and this is my second Corrado but unfortunately I don't have a garage where I can keep it locked away (and anyone who does is out to make a big profit in rental fees). The car itself is running perfectly after having loads of work done, so any new owner would have a well cared for motor. My budget for a replacement is £10-£12k - that's E46 M3 money (despite looking like a flush chav), decent E39 M5 money, TVR Cerbera money, up it a little more and I could get a 996 C4s (although the interior lets it down imo), etc etc. Thing is, even if I went for any listed above I know that nothing would feel as special the Corrado on the road in terms of looks, rareness and cool factor (ok maybe the Cerbera :norty: but doubt I'd have the bottle to take the plunge). I am also wondering if I should just spend my budget on a VR6 Turbo (Stealth Kit) as IMO it would be the complete package of looks and power. No idea about reliability though so I have a lot of research to do! Nice meeting you too, must say your car is even better in the flesh than the pics! I reckon a trimmed dash would finish off your interior nicely (but then I would say that ) Known nothing but Corrados for 6/7 years mate, but like I mentioned above, if I up the power then maybe it'll be awesome. Quite depressing when you've got to really hustle to keep up with some modern TDIs!
  4. yours looked like it meant business! I fitted those dash shelves you sold me, fit great Nick
  5. Couple of pics from Stanford Hall. See the thread for pics of all the other Corrados, there were some really nice ones. My personal standouts included Harriers VR6 (looked great rolling during the convoy), Rams luxury interior, Goldies super clean VR6 and JMR's rude G60! Spent hours cleaning the car on Saturday, tried out Wolfs Chemicals nano products (shampoo, polish, sealant) which worked nicely. As I live sandwiched between a busy road and a rail track (paired with a gravelly drive) dust is a nightmare so I bought a halfords car cover to keep her clean throughout the night. Seeing all of the great corrados at the show has given me inspiration, although at the same time I'm considering selling up and seeing what other motors are out there... Nick Someone took this pic too (which I nicked!) with Kip's super clean nugget. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hello to everyone, hopefully I will at a later show if I keep the car
  6. Is the sub/amp still up for grabs?
  7. The concours cars were brilliant, as well as a lot of great ones in the club stand. Didn't get a chance to say hello to everyone, which C were you all in?
  8. Also took a quick video of the early arrivals. Apologies for the rubbish digital camera video recorder (and cameraman!) [video=youtube_share;fuuRT4h2iOY] Steve - I'll let you know when I'm next in your area and I'll bring my spare dash with me. Nick
  9. Had a good time, nice to meet some fellow owners and check out all the cars on show. The early morning convoy went smoothly and made the journey a lot of fun. Shame the place we parked was so dusty though! My friend and I took some crappy digital camera pics, so sorry in advance - photographers we are not! Most of the convoy pics came out crap so I've ommitted them... More to come...
  10. Didn't know I could do that myself? Just realised I will still have a decat left over...
  11. I think everyone is now going to try and join 16VG60s convoy, which meets at M1 J9 (Luton South Premier Inn Services) between 06:30 - 07:00. Would be more convenient instead of having to overshoot to get to South Mimms (if going clockwise). Can always have breakfast there :) Nick
  12. Had a few thumbs up etc, but most people who talk about it always think it's "worth a lot" and "will only go up in value"... I'm still waiting for that day!
  13. Thanks! Still a long way to go though. Have seriously thought about selling it recently, but every time someone gives me a thumbs up when driving or compliments the car it makes me persevere a little more! Nick
  14. Home now, pictures from previous owner here:
  15. As per title. Around 10,000mile usage, worked fine but started blowing a little at the joint. Unsure if it needs welding or re-adjusting/clamping (although I doubt it would need welding), but I just had a new Jetex system put on as i needed a quick MOT before the weekend so this is going spare. All looks sound, there is a slight scuff on the top of the tail pipe though. £70 - Priced to sell. Collection only or I can bring to Stanford Hall this Sunday. Sounds lovely (when all working). Due to a weird work network I am unable to upload pics (or get links from my photobucket account), but I only have ones the previous owner took (hope you don't mind if you're reading this!). PM me and I can e-mail them to you (I'll update the thread again tonight when at home). I can also take some new pics if anyone is interested. Nick PS - Possibly have a de-cat pipe (unsure of brand, I think Milltek too) going spare too (may decide to keep it) which I can include in with this sale. £100 for the lot.
  16. Seeing as we're all taking the M25 (whichever direction) it could be an idea for us to meet at South Mimms Services (J23) or somewhere a bit further along the line (J.C suggested Toddington). Guess a time just needs to be figured out... I'm planning on leaving quite early to get to Stanford Hall for around 08:30. Anyone up for this? Nick
  17. I'll be going from M25/M23 but was thinking about going clockwise up to the M1... Could go the other way round though :)
  18. Blackberry/purple one at Shell Godstone today...waves exchanged!
  19. Just a little update - Jetex non resonated system fitted to replace the Milltek and a fresh MOT. Another years motoring done! See you guys at Stanford. Nick
