  1. Yes, Google Maps is telling me M4 J13 Between 08:00 to 08:20 would be perfect, could wait longer for anyone else if needed Also - anyone else from further down the M4 want us to meet them somewhere en route?
  2. Ladies and gents, Billzebub (sp?) should be meeting me tomorrow morning at the M23/M25 Junction (M25 J7) to convoy together to Castle Combe. We also plan to meet Harrier at Chieveley Services on the M4 at around 08:15 Anyone else coming down the M25 or M4 are welcome to join us, the more the merrier. I'll also be stopping at Cobham Services on the M25 to fill up. Please let me know ASAP so we can try and get some meeting points and times organised! If anyone wants my number PM me. The Stanford Hall convoy was great and made the journey a lot more fun! Would be good to try and replicate Cheers, Nick
  3. I always wonder if this community alone (and the CCGB) has enough influence to increase the value of the Corrado in the UK. If we all start selling at a higher price then who knows what the future may hold :norty: Unfortunately I'll never get back the money I spent on the car, but it's all done for love and not profit (as I suspect is the case with most guys here).
  4. Any of those sound good (Starbucks especially, although I'd have to stop at Cobham Services anyway - car is mapped to V Power). Still not 100% sure if I can make this one, but will have a better idea sometime during the week. Will keep you updated. Nick PS - What time did you have in mind?
  5. I should be, I believe Harrier recommended a service stop down the M4 but could meet you earlier Nick
  6. It's a sign from the gods telling you not to sell :norty:
  7. Just registered to this event. Unfortunately it's too big of a detour to meet you guys down south, but if anyone wants to convoy from the M25/M4 or at a service stop along the line then it would be good to arrange something :)
  8. Since supercharging I have noticed my cabin feels a hell of a lot warmer than before, legs are sweating like crazy. Fan still blows cold, and I guess the heat is to be expected. Anyone know ways of keeping cabin temps down? All I can think of is heat wrapping the exhaust manifold... Would this make a big difference? Next Q relating to that - I have a stainless 6 branch from a vr6 golf which I could wrap. Will this fit? I am guessing adding the mani won't affect the map at all? Cheers
  9. Thanks :camp: When are you going to organise the Croydon/Surrey meet? :norty:
  10. Cheers for clearing that up, explains a lot! My MPG was reading around 45mpg by the time I got home! I'd like to think 308bhp is enough, but let's see how I get on with the charger. I can only imagine a turbo being twice as savage :norty:
  11. The bill was a lot more than I (and Vince) expected, but it is driving superbly now. Can't wait to get home tonight and take it for a spin :norty: Hi Rams, it has rekindled my love of the car again... but it hasn't even been 24 hours so I will see how I get on! It's no Rotrex like yours but it is still good in its own right, reminds me of my old valver - revving the nuts off it to get it to shift! But boy does it shift ;) I was finding it quite hard to drive 'normally' - one minute you're pulling away, next you look down and you're approaching 50mph+! The boost is addictive, and I can only imagine what a Turbo VR would be like in comparison! Junctions are approaching a LOT faster now though, so I really need to put some bigger brakes on. I did buy some 288s which should do the job. Nick
  12. Time for a little update. Dropped off the car to Stealth a couple of weeks back to get a charger fitted. Lots of blips in the road, ended up having to have a lot of work done including tappets, updated injectors, fuel pump etc etc. In the mean time I was without car as my spare Volvo's gearbox decided to die. Picked up a barge as a replacement, lots of car for silly money: X-Type 3.0 V6, surprisingly the sensible car! Got a call from Vince this morning, and an hour later I was on the train from Marylebone. Rough breakdown of the spec: Vortech V1 Supercharger (Stage 2) Schimmel 263 cams Mocal 13 Row oil cooler Red top injectors Whatever updated fuel pump stealth use Also got a new rad, plugs and leads. Initial thoughts, coming from a basically stock VR6 (with an olllld AmD chip): It sounds insane! When revving anyway. At idle it whistles, so you know something is there which takes out a bit of the stealth factor. The car pulls like crazy past 3k, and the cams make it a lot grunting down low. I was giggling home! Although brakes are a must do ASAP. Some initial pics, Also found my mpg gauge is playing up now, temp a little lower than usual after a motorway. Maybe something to do with the new rad? will see how it goes over time... Nick
  13. Your pics completely change my opinion on Mystic Blue! Looks really good. Cheers, although I'm guessing my car was probably missing its front end and covered in dust? Won't be seeing it for another couple of weeks :( Nick
  14. Have a good time all, look out for my C looking sorry for itself in the corner! (Green one on BBS CH with a cream dash) Nick
  15. Unfortunately the car ran into some issues on the dyno (fuel pump) so i couldn't pick it up today :( Maybe see you at a show in the future! Nick

    Supercharger kit.

It's a V1, doubt it'll be too different from the V2 but I've got Vince to throw in some schimmel 263 cams for good measure. I've had numerous people tell me that VRT is the way to go... but ignorance is bliss :norty: Who knows what the future holds ;)

    Supercharger kit.

Who knows, if I'm not happy with my charger then it might be for sale over the next couple of months. Mr. Bacon is making me regret charging my VR and I haven't even driven it yet  But it came at a price low enough to take a punt on, and I don't think i'll lose much from it if I were to sell.

    Supercharger kit.

I was in a similar predicament recently. The Stealth turbo kit is £5.5k. That cost doesn't include clutch, forged bolts, big brakes, etc etc which all adds up. I reckon the actual cost would be nearer £8-10k. But if you have the funds, I think a turbo would win hands down :norty:

    Supercharger kit.

Rotrex and Vortech are the main ones, Used Rotrex kits would probably be more expensive but are better chargers apparently as they give more low down grunt. My car is currently at Stealth having a Vortech stage 2 kit fitted though, which should see me nearing 300bhp which should be ample (for now) If you havent already, you should check VR6OC and ED38 too as kits pop up for sale there every now and then too.

    Supercharger kit.

Used price is around 1500. Don't come up for sale often though!
  21. :thumbleft: thanks guys... classic green is obviously the best colour!
  22. Never usually take the C to a car wash, but found one local to me which I thought I'd try. Hand washed at first then rinsed and initially dried on a conveyor belt. Had to take a video! Ignore the dodgy music...HD viewing recommended :) Also, Stealth tomorrow! [video=youtube_share;fWSvIuAs1Ak]
  23. Thanks Kev. No idea what filter to use, will post a thread. Cheers
