  1. Progress looks good, did the exact same thing with the driveshafts, ended up jacking up the engine to get clearance. What you struggling with for vacuum? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    24v sump

The mk4 ones are same depth as vr6 ones arent they?
  3. Should hopefully be there, hoping I can sneak into shown and shine on the day ;) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. Also interested as a spare. Although the best solution would be to get a new design of release handle and use bike cable instead, something which I've been wanting to do for a while now.
  5. New wheels are here and on... look so very very good. Hopefully taking my first outing to All Types this weekend if I can get some wheel bolts in time, new wheels are 60 degree taper not conical type like VW... typical!
  6. After passat b4 (Teves20) abs system if anyone has one kicking about, if not servo/loom/abs light would be good! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. Blue is ECU Black is 3rd Fan speed Brown should be a yellow and is dash water temp Low water level is expansion tank
  8. That would be really helpful, the loom I can probably make myself but stalks I can't... Obviously lol Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. any chance you could see if corrado cruise control stalks are still available, spoke to a guy in hull the other day and he just couldnt have cared less, he just wanted me off the phone. Was tempted to put in a complaint his attitude was that bad!
  10. Just FYI early mk3 golf's are the same, the ones without caliper retainer pins Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. I had the similar problems, windscreen in, seals didn't fit, windscreen out, new seals... New windscreen. Will be worth it in the end Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. Sensor in rad is stages 1 & 2, black 2 pin in thermostat housing is stage 3 Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  13. Culshaw pm me your email and I'll send it across. What format do you want the file in? Step file? It's drawn in inventor ipt at moment. I do have a complete spare heater control so can test easily (with broken cog!) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  14. That lower arm has snapped the runner on the underneath of the cog, it has done the same thing on every corrado I have ever owned. I have drawn a cog up in 3d with reinforced walls where they usually break, I had intended to get 3d printed but just haven't had chance to price one up, plus I also plan on going climate control route. 15. I believe it's a 6pk1264 but I'll have to double check, I know I had a nightmare getting the right size as someone sausage fingered a response and said I needed a 1624. If I remember correctly it's the same length as vr6 but with more teeth (6 as opposed to 4) hence the part number Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Put a timestamp in the code, I tend to watch the data then copy paste it into excel. I didn't know if I could just send a message in the serial monitor when I'm doing things so when I'm looking at the data I can see when I did it... Eg unplug temp sensor, maf etc Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. I've saved the serial monitor output into an excel spreadsheet so I can analyse data unfortunately I've got the water pipes disconnected at the moment so can't run it fully up to temperature. Also I don't know how to timestamp so can't really see when actions are happening so until I can pull the car out the garage (hopefully this weekend) I can't really run it long enough to get full temp running data. 18. Well if anyone is reading my arduino thread I've been working on a little project over the winter to hack into the CANBUS messages, and I've managed it! Just need to look over the canbus messages to try figure out what they are as its all Raw data but so far I've got the RPM, possibly water temp and maybe MPG. I believe my next step is to convert a 5v square wave signal into a 12v square wave... somehow.
  19. Well bit of an update for anyone interested, I managed to get the arduino reading the CANBUS messages so I bought an LCD display. After a LOT of trail and error, mostly error I managed to find some signals I wanted and as per video below (sorry I don't know how to embed it so its a link), I've managed to display the RPM on the LCD screen! I only had it connected for a short time as my laptop battery lasts about 5 minutes, next step is trying to figure out how to run the Corrado clocks as I believe they are a 12v square wave signal and the arduino will only output 5v square wave. But, its pretty exciting, all I need to do now is figure out what the data is and I can pretty much display any message the ECU sends over canbus, so MPG, sump oil temp, water temp, lambda etc etc.
  20. Haha, after today's seemingly successful day on corrado it probably is Phil talking... Or El on his behalf! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  21. Yes thats the part to the left, as I understand it, its like a mini swirl pot which helps on startup. I found this thread about running kr pump on a vr6, I know they run a lot higher fuel pressure than a VR6 so need the additional pump but appears as though it might be beneficial for low boost turbo applications! http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=387925
  22. Sounds like a bad earth, pop the bonnet and check battery and starter motor earth.

    temp sensor?

The fan is controlled by the fan control module in the right hand side of the bay. For third speed, one wire goes directly there (T10/5 black & white wire) , the other goes to the fusebox (I believe the jumper box above), should be a black and yellow wire. People do run switches on the dash, I had one in my old corrado but personally I'd want to get to the bottom of it. Just fyi, your temp gauge is pins 2 & 4, then goes through the large plug on side of head (T42/4) then onto G2/1 into the fusebox. Have you double checked the plug behind your clocks is plugged in fully?

    temp sensor?

Black sensor is definitely stage 3 fan. But the wiring shouldn't come from the rest of the engine loom, it runs on its own so won't go through that big plug on side of engine bay. Have you got ignition on whilst bridging? The blue is only for cold start so once it's up to temp should switch over the maf and lambda, at least I think so. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    temp sensor?

Does your car have air con? The yellow is the dash temp sensor, blue is usually a 2 pin for ecu unless you have air con Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
