    Mortified

Use snow foam, it doesn't require any manual input as it is used as a pre wash method, or at least that's how I use it. Simply spray on, leave to soak in then jet wash off. Absolutely sucks that it's happened though, I'd be getting in touch with council either way, it's really not OK. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. I think the 'wolkswagen' might be a scam Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. They are Junior power terminals, I used 3waycomponents when I was making my loom, nice guy and very helpful. He's online and on ebay. With a jago crimping tool I bought off Amazon, do a nice kit for a pretty good price Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. I had also been watching it but there's nothing worse than someone replying with "I'd love to go but... Insert excuse here", sadly my excuse was boiler packing up and various home improvent costs. I genuinely would have loved to come firstly because I am absolutely useless at organising anything and secondly because I've always wanted to go. Sorry to see no takers but it's great to see the effort! When I'm in a better financial position I'd love to attend something corrado related Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. as Coullstar says, rather than break it maybe consider selling high value items and putting it back to near standard. I know show cars are always difficult to sell as the new owners like to put their own stamp on it anyway. Could always consider selling off some parts on an exchange basis?
  6. Yes you can as that's what the mk2 vr6 boys do. I think I just got a key with random transponder and coded it Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. Toad alarms are by far the best alarms available, had one on every (old) car I've owned and never had any problems. Got one on my VR at the moment, it shouldn't bypass the immobiliser, or rather it couldn't unless someone has removed immobiliser from ECU. As for key, it can be done with vagcom as I've done it, can't remember the website though but I did post it on here
  8. Sorry can't help yet but what's broken? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Sorry, I realise this is a breaking thread but just for clarification, early are flat, late are raised. I'm sure of that, as my early valver had flat and my late vr had raised Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Think terminal 15 is just an ignition live, have you seen this thread? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Fthe-corrado%2Enet%2Fshowthread%2Ephp%3Ft%3D54986&share_tid=54986&share_fid=4811&share_type=t Convenience Indicator / Comfort Flash Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Have you got a picture of the instructions? I'd hazard a guess and say terminal 15 would be a pin on the indicator relay Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Ahh ok, thats not a problem, I don't expect you to shell out money to go on a wild goose chase for a module! If you could see if you still have it that would be fantastic, could you PM me what sort of price you'd be wanting. Out of interest, how come you got rid? vacuum cruise control go a bit wonky on you? presume that means you still have the full pedal box assembly in place, now that is a bit of fancy kit!
  13. Stick a socket on it and give it a few smacks with a hammer to break the rust up, try tightening it then loosening as well. If not try an impact screwdriver, those things are brilliant Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. If its the late type that would be outstanding! Need that and the module if you have that as well
  15. Don't bother with a 6 speed box, if you look at ratio's you'll actually be a lot worse off at cruising speed and you'll find yourself going through the gears like crazy. Unless of course you're planning on trying to make frankensteins monster by swapping internals (something I've thought of but not done any real research on). I'll probably get this wrong way round but VR6 final drive is 3.39, G60 is 3.6 and if I'm correct 6 speed is about 3.9 so you'll find yourself doing about 4k+ at 70mph. As for engine, I have personally had 2 horror stories, first engine delivered to me with half the agreed parts missing and never heard from the guy again. Second engine had "gearbox problems" which turned out to be snapped oil pump drive shaft resulting in ruined bottom end, it looked like it was about a mile away from seizing. So my advice would be to hear it running and go collect it with a list of parts you need or if you can buy a full car. I got my 3rd engine from a guy in cleveland. Real nice genuine bloke, sent me a video of it running and gave me a load of documentation with it. Just tried to find him but looks like he's no longer on ebay sadly.
  16. At the moment ive got loads of ideas but probably not enough time/money to do them. Cruise control is one thing I've been wanting to do for ages now that I'm dbw, but finding the stalk is a German only item as it's obsolete here and very rare to find. Mk4 Climate control is something I've looked into which I've been wanting to do for ages as well, not bothered about aircon but I like the idea of getting rid of the crappy heater dials. I've been on the hunt for teves20 parts for ages but seems someone else is as well as all the Passat b4's I find either don't have ABS or someone has beat me to it. Got the ECU, just need the brackets & loom. Had thought about mk4 ABS as it will communicate nicely with my engine but it does stop me from ever going back to VR6 engine (depending on if I go VRT or R32T) and I'd need a canbus gateway (the mk4 clocks are the gateway, which I don't like the idea of bodging some clocks behind the dash) Then it's sort tacho using my homebrew project, design and make brackets to fit my wilwoods. I've also got a pile of bushes to fit as it feels a bit squelchy. And I'd like to paint engine bay and make it look a nicer install, don't want it smooth just a bit less cluttered. The list is becoming endless! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. Sunny days seem to be running out this year so on such a nice day took it out for a spin. Small niggles, pedal is failing, started intermittently but happened a few times whilst I was out so scrapyard trip needed! Think the exhaust is blowing, think it's near the manifold somewhere but it's an absolute nightmare to get it off so will be a winter job Collecting parts for winter jobs as well, got tonnes of stuff to do which are going to be time consuming but will really modernize the car. 18. Yea know that feeling! Just another option to throw into the pot, stealth do a drive in drive out turbo conversion. I would have thought it be a similar cost to r32 conversion, plus 300-350bhp. Few guys on here have had it done, vag hag for one. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  19. What are you wanting to achieve here? The engine is going to be your biggest expense aside from labour, the r32 engines fetch a premium so you'd be looking at anything between 800 and 2500+. The 4motion engine has less bhp but are selling for next to nothing these days, both engines you gain the 24v low down torque and you'll still see increased power. If you want the power go r32, if you want a vr6 but newer go 4mo, if you love the vr6 noise I'm afraid you won't get that from the 24v. It's a good noise don't get me wrong but I really miss the vr roar. And never assume professional means good job, I've seen some horror stories from so called professionals. Stealth however are the best, without a doubt. I do everything myself but if I ever needed someone to work on my car it would be stealth Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. Is it a 2.25" system? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Is that not for the speaker? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. Yes, don't know what's involved but at a guess I'd say same principle as vr6 into a valver/mk2 golf http://www.vwcaddy.com/showthread.php?32741-Vr6-Caddy-Van Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. Personally I wouldn't bother with abf, I helped put one in my mates mk1 golf and it was severely underwhelming, almost disappointing. It depends what sort of money you want to put into, I'd love to see a tfsi engine in a corrado, I reckon that would be a fantastic drive with loads of tuning possibilities and a modern engine. But the 1.8t has been done loads so tonnes of information & conversion parts out there, getting dirt cheap to do and it's all reversible anyway. End of the day it's your car so do what you want with it, I see so many people with cars they don't enjoy but won't do anything to it because it's 'getting rare'. It's like having an old computer that is old and tired but keeping it because it might be worth something in 20 years Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. Mine and my mates delta integrale. It's a bit of a weird one, it's a proper integrale but it's 4 stud and doesn't have the big bumpers. It was converted to rhd at some point in its life. Absolutely beautiful car and sounds awesome, only beat me once down the strip though! Unfortunately he found out the hard way those things are expensive, currently rebuilding the engine after a cracked head... Ouch! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  25. The rpm is exactly the same as a vr6 as it's the same gearbox and flywheel. I've heard about the v5 gearbox but as you have found the ratios are daft for running 15s, I did wonder if you could use the v5 and somehow combine it with a tdi like the g60 final and tdi 5th trick. I don't know what rpm I'm doing at 70 as I haven't sorted tacho yet :( Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
