Got the call from the auto shop today Stereo is back and repaired, only have to pay for the transports charges apparently. Looks like the work has been done under warrenty. I'll let you all know later.

There is only a small cover that covers the heater intake and it covers about half of the motronic moduale. thats it!! nothing bigger ever made

Yeah i live near rio real, pass it twice a day, everyday, doing about 120 through the "chicane" if it was a right hander you may have a problem or the oil just sloshed around in the sump after the bend.

Were is the difference?? Must be something to do with the brake master cylinder being on the other side on the LHD C. Im gonna have a look at the CD later and check the part numbers

mark16v, Could be, depends if the sound cuts out for the same amount of time that it takes for the music to start after you turn it on!! I'm asuming its only one strand of the ribbon thats gone on mine, maybe ours is a different strand

Anyone got a set of metal pipes to replace the standard hose/plastic pipe standard setup. I want to replace mine from my RSR to the cooler and then to the throttle body as one of my next mods. Hence me not buying the charger hoses in the CCGB samco Group buy. I would love to see some pics and know what difference it make to the sound of the engine. I all I've just had to get my kenwood headunit repaired cos the tiny ribbon cable that runs to the flip face (MASK) broke leaving my stereo invisible but working!!! basically all the lights were out and it the display wasn't on, but it still played tunes!!! Anyway, My mate has had this repair done on his twice now, and to top it all of mine was a few days out of warranty :-( So just be warned, if your Kenwood mask unit is showing any signs of messing up, get it fixed before the warrenty runs out!!! but they are great sounding units!!!

No its not mate!!! the Buzzer only comes on if the pressure drops below idle pressure otherwise the buzzer would be on all the time at low engine speed. cold engine temps means higher oil presure as the oil is still thick. I would say he's got a pressure sensor problem on the sener on the filter house, or the charger oil line (the lower pressure warning of the two)or you have some oil seal problems in the engine, or the oil pump is on the way out. Apparently the G60 oil pump can be replaced with one from a golf TDI i think as its same housing or something and gives better oil pressure. Anyone know which one??

Get an oil pressure gauge!!

Yeah oil pressure change the oil and replace the filter with a OEM one. (a must for a G60) if you Have changed it recently you may have a pressure problem. Where you going round a fast corner at the time? you cant really check the oil on a hot engine unless you let it stand for a few 10mins. what oil are you running? 10W40 fully synth?
