  1. to be sure its the radio, just turn it off, or disconnect it via ISO block, that will tell you if its the radio, i´d say 99% thats your problem
  2. kevhaywire, I've got a Autometer Ultra light A/F meter so to test the probe do i tap the probe wire through a digital meter to the earth/battery then.
  3. okay Well I've got the meter running, found a bad connection!!! the meter is not acting as i expected it to. So i am going to earth the meter to the probe and see what happenes before i go changing the probe itself. the meter is reading in the middle of the range and only moving one LED either way correctly, but the whole meter is trying to light when blasting it. So i think its an earthing problem. Mind you i did cheat and earth it to the chassis rather than battery.
  4. no just the bottom and put the heater on Hot and open the header/expantion tank when filling fill through top rad hose into the engine and rad. then top up from the tank. Use distilled water for the flush. I.e fill the system and seal, run the engine to open the thermostat, then drain the water while still warm NOT HOT, allow the block to cool if adding Cold water, or use hot water mixed with new coolant G12+ but im sure you knew that.
  5. on the G60 you undo the hose from the pump to the long metal pipe that goes to the bottom rad hose, the pump hose is the lowest in the system. on the VR i think its the bottem rad hose.
  6. I hope they didn't add cold water to a hot engine, BIG NO NO, can crack the block or head.
  7. dazzyvr6, Rain X or Rain wizard is the other option. I used to use Rain Wizard, Its very good.

  9. The FK rear lights are rumoured to be better quality than the inpro's. but i've not seen either versions
  10. i've ran the car well and it don't move :( gonna double check everything at somepoint. I've tapped into the purple probe wire. which I checked in the manual.
  11. okay I've just spent the day moving and adding gauges to My C The A-piller is in and houseing the Boost Gauge and A/F gauge I've got the A/F gauge all wired up and running but the meter is showing rich, all the way as if the O2 sensor was sending a constand one volt. Is the o2 sensor dead? i thought they gave no voltage back when dead
  12. LHD And RHD A-Piller pods can be got from here http://www.rgmstyling.com however if you have the american seat belt system you need to buy the one from http://www.bahnbrenner.com as there is a special A-piller pod needed for the american seat belts

  18. Have you got a large stereo system running!! could be a drain on the system, try starting it without the stereo on and see what happens, Just a passing thought
  19. you've got the back box for the wrong body style. the hangers changed from jan 91 IIRC

  22. the golf has a much deeper rear screen angle thus the air is pull down much harder, creating more drag. the Corrado has this but across the bumpe and reg plate area.

    ideas wanted

    seeing as the gauge panel is discontinued, what about a pocket for sweets, keys, mobile phone etc. hmmm that comes as standard if you remove the cassete holder wasn't someone looking for a RHD cassette holder!!
  24. and to add more to the point American Audi TT where ALL recalled to fit the tiny rear spoiler called a conversion kit or something, as there were cases of TT leaving the roads at high speeds.
