BMWs are over priced. i looked at them and merc before buying the leon, the cost of a BMW and ther servicing was stupid. I nearly purchased the MERC C class coupe, just becasue its the only car that i could find that had the same driving position as the rado. However, merc parts are expensive...and i could only afford a second hand C coupe..so SEAT was the way to go. I´d rather have my Leon than Any BMW TDI any day.

Yeah if they are noisey they are on there way out....however a 2002 model should have the updated regulaters. they are easy to replace. I´ve did one on my other halfs golf. The VAG PD150 tdi is a great engine, as you all know i run the Leon, my other half runs a 100PD golf. they are simply great engines. we both enjoy around 500miles per tank. The golf is heavy but the build is good. 60k is the interval for the cam belt, water pump needs checking to, and if its not changed at 60k then it needs a eye kept on it. VW charge a fortune for the cambelt change, but a ve specialisy should be able to do it without taking the cars front off, which vw like to do, from what a local vw dealer told me. MAFs do go, but you can prelong there lifes with silicone dillectric grease on the electrical contacts. I´ve not had one go yet on 30k though. Mk4 golfs you can still use the standard VAG-COM too unlike the mk5 golf that needs a CAN interface lead. The PD 150 is responsive off the line, however you need to learn to drive a diesel to get the best out of it. and its all over at about 120mph, however, getting there is a pleasure. they pull like an ox

you should really put a relay in there if you are putting a start button in, that was you wont over load the switch.

I used to have one on the G60jet, it was fitted where the fag lighter was.

if you have a laptop..costco are doing microsoft autoroute 2007 with GPS sensor for about £70 in vat iirc. thats about £30 cheaper than amazon

dixon s are still in the high street just call dixons digital or some rubbish like that. my dads tom tom did exactly that, pc world wanted to send it way. i had to quote chapter and verse to get then to change it. never buy from pc world / dixons group....

Have you tried searching for old serfix plates along the lines of AND 1XX

dont get one car related. even though you think you'll never sel your rado, you msy do, and they are gettig rarer. get one thats personal to you, one that could be sold on should you desire to. Also worth noting that you cant make your car appear new than it is with a private plate. so anything newer than a j prefix for your motor wouldnt be allowed on the car.

Probably the fan switch, turn the fan on, and different speed depending on the temperature.

Jim, does your lock barrel on pop out slightly after the key comes out, cos i used to be able to power up the radio on my rado just by pushing in the lock barrel in. maybe your has stuck in

top one looks ok, bottem one needs replaced, basically replacing one, replace them both.....in a word they both need doing!! since they are directly linked to brakes and steering, I'd replace them like yesterday and avoid driving it like that. better safe than bent corrado, you'll mend the car wont :lol:

Naughty! Could also be a Vac leak - check the flexi pipe to the tb also means its been above the red line for a few seconds to trip that

The Cupra R has brembos on the front, but standard calipers on the rear. i didnt think they where never painted at the factory, looking at others on the web, seems they were! oops, pitty i had to get a diesel, otherwise you know i would have a Cupra R. Mines an FR, basically the old Cupra Diesel rebadged. I missed out on the FR plus by only a few weeks, that had the full cupra r bodykit and 17inch versions of the cupra r's wheels
