btw do you mean OUR passenger rear wheel was off the ground, or YOURs? Obviously this would refer to the other side of the car!
-
blue temp sender is a good starting point. Notorious for going on the Gs.

Because you don't have enough nice and fast cars in your life? Share the love!

it's like almost a pearl whilst not being a rallye and it's blue...dark blue! dark blue cars are always hot  fair enough, it is your mk2 at the end of the day, Ijust love helious and know they are getting fewer :help:  I'd matt black a Corrado for sure, but you'd have to tie in EVERYTHING else with it. The colour alone is not enough.

What is a Corrados CORRECT RPM idle speed

black gaffa ftw. -
yup, pas will be under more load at full lock: whining just means it's getting old I reckon. All my mk2s whined. it shouldn't be impossible to turn. Mine is REALLY heavy (broken PAS rack) and it's not impossible to turn. yeah the bearings might go eventually but if it's whining i'd say that it's already led quite a life. Not sure how much punishment the bearings / valves can take to be honest. Bentley is a really good one for the VR6, although it's based on the American market version so it's not word for word exactly the same. Very good for reference though. Otherwise, for engine related stuff maybe the Mk3 Golf Haynes? hth, Jon :salute:

don't worry about it matey, i should have checked them properly and besides if you'd sold them on ebay someone might have got rowdy! they're still cheap for the springs and I think the fronts are still usable :salute:

16v g60 on carbs 8) just make sure you get them pressure sealed first.

So the suspension that I bought (by proxy) turns out to be dead. Oh dear. One of the two rears has lots of gas left in it and has to be restrained when in the box, but the other one, although not floppy, needs moving by hand. So that's dead and I need a new pair of rears. Both fronts need pushing and pulling (they're both equally happier to collapse than expand) but is this ok? I would expect this from oil shocks, but are they actually oil shocks? I think they are and they could be ok. Just a bit of a ballache to put them on the car just to see if they work. Any help appreciated, thanks to Toad for his help already :salute:

Getting the gearbox undone and out is the worst part for sure.
-
lol, i referring to BMWs in general, but they are quality bits of kit! I'm not a fan of tiny wheels - no top end and your speedo is out, and stretched tyres?! :gag: I'm an engineer my good man! Anyways, what made you get rid of the Audi?
-
Nice piece of kit matey! I look forward to all your indicators failing, and your steering rack misalignment causing you to drift across the lanes :salute:
-
omg, you matt blacked a HELIOUS?!?! why couldn't you have done that to a crap coloured mk2?
-
I just put it back on not like a retard  Really isn't that hard fellas, unless your doorpins are bent
-
Sweet moses fella! Is that IC going on your car or a small orbiting moon?
-
very good points mate, and I don't think you're being too demanding. If something urgent came up and the map man told you asap then fair enough, but sounds like it was more bad organisation on his part and not realising? I'd be annoyed too.
-
Oh no! What stuff got cancelled, the RR and tune-up?
-
yes. IIRC the valve should be left open when you're bleeding?
-
I'm guessing you didn't take any pics Karl? this would have helped me loads, if you've got some you can upload. Cheers!

Never managed to use Eezibleeds properly, the generic lids and washers included in the kit seem to hate our reservoirs. Recommend taking it to VW, esp if you're not too up on the hydro system as a whole.
-
Think I might try me out those roads too, sound awesome!
-
Thanks guys :salute: You see what I did to the subframe up there ^^^ well i'm gonna do the same to the rad support today, see how that bad boy turns out. Except this time I will POR-15 paint it too! And knowing their addiction to rust, I may even spray a coat of Waxoyl over when it's finished

ARZ Tuning my man. Get yourself on there website sharpish!

Cheers mate! I got recommended autobling products so i thought 'd try them out...they smell so nice too :camp: now all i gotta do is sort the mechanical, electrical, and chemical sides of the car and it'll be finished! :cuckoo:
