  1. :salute: Might be ok, but it seems MOT stations are becoming more and more annoying!
  2. is that the wiring system, like CAN-BUS?
  3. My uni friend just got his mk4 golf and although it's still under warranty from the garage I was wondering if the following is an easy fix. Sometimes when he's driving the rev counter will drop to zero and then oil pressure light will start flashing. If he turns the engine off and on again it's fine. Any ideas? It's a 1.6 iirc. I'm guessing it might be something electrical to affect the tacho and a sensor at exactly the same time. Ta, J-unit.
  4. in that little shell?! omg, that must be fun.
  5. Prodigal stil has a complete mech from his old car, from when he replaced the sunroof prior to respray. Any use?
  6. Looking good mate. You'll need to send your V5 off to get updated if you are no longer using the rear seatbelts as your car might be tested as a 4-seater next MOT and will fail instantly.
  7. new polos are turbo'd?! wtfbubblegum.
  8. I have no idea why I thought you lived over here! Random  anyways, love the grey Corrado :luvlove:
  9. surely the point of buying a new car is reliability, and as such I wouldn't want to turbo a KR! plus, depending on spec, you might not get much change out of £5k by the time you uprate the suspension, clutch, brakes, replace OEM worn out parts, etc etc etc.
  10. Looking good goldie! Are you doing anything to protect the brake discs from flash rust etc or just planning to replace in Oct? :salute:
  11. Do it mate! I don't know why Hondas get such a bad rep as rice, Suyshiro Honda (founder) was originally a racing driver anyways, so if anyone deserves to be disqualified from the ricer slurr then it should be him!
  12. :salute: keep goingwith the science mods Jon! Will email thos docs soon, still a bit hectic i'm afraid! :?
  13. are you selling the tails to a good mate? :norty:
  14. I am boggled at why no-one has said this already, but... There's a control module hidden behind the O/S/R doorcard (no door, I know) which controls both the e/w and the c/l iirc. Have you checked the connections to this?
  15. Maybe Pagid 280s are not very good then in your experience. I know the 256s are great, but am unsure why they differ so much.
  16. dirtytorque, we often repress traumatic memories!
  17. Hobbit pads?! PFRs need a little heat in them (not as much as greens do) before they start working well, but then again so does an engine so who cares
  18. PFR pads are really good, like em a lot. LOOVE the yellow red and black colour theme Riley! Works well  :notworthy:
  19. looks like a corrado with hamster cheeks! LOL @ baby.
  20. going back to the original post, that chunk of metal isn't hugely important: it will offer some protection from a front impact, but most of the impact force will obviously go down the chassis rails anyways. if you hit a thin enough pole straight on in the middle of your new bumper, it will probably go straight through...so always hit the pole on a side :salute:
  21. Looking good Andy! Glad the car got a wash after that front wiper pic! where did you get your voltage reg from?
  22. i'd say perhaps look at the raising/lowering mech. perhaps some of it is loose and causing a dead spot in the middle of travel?
  23. LOL yeah right like Prod will buy them. We live in Oxford too so drive on the same crappy roads!
  24. a w e s o m e ! :notworthy: keep us up to date on the pics, I need them like I need oxygen
