  1. 7mm allen key or allen key bit, 22mm(iirc?) drop head ring spanner or drive-through socket and ratcher combo :salute:
  2. btw: (took me ages to find that photo to make into a lolcat)
  3. cheers dude. I guess I am ok on the theory. Ideally, yeah. It's nice having a bro with a G60, and i'm sure he appreciates having a brother constantly trying to make it more efficient! I have chats on PM with a few people patient enough to read my brain dirge  and there are plenty of things that can be done to the boost pipes on a G60. I'm pretty sure a few on here have already done so (Yan and possibly Aqua?) Mass-manufacture of something like an engine and it's associated parts is always going to lead to a trade-off between cost and product quality. DOn't get me wrong, the pipes aren't a bad design but a thick black plastic pipe running across the back of the radiator is just asking for trouble imho :cuckoo: I will have a think my good Kar-man.
  4. Stripped is ~20kg iirc :salute:
  5. How would you get it back to your house?
  6. Sorry for the thread hijack, but does this mean the PAS rack from a 92 Corrado won't fit my 90/91 spec?
  7. Wise words David. PAS racks are designed to have fluid flowing round them. When they don't, they are at least 2-3 times as heavy as manual steering! This is because the mechanism in itself is less efficient ad probably heavier as it normally has some hydraulic assistance.
  8. You can't really increase the size of any air piping (air intake ducts, boost pipes, exhaust system, inlet manifold runners) without hurting air speed. The wider a pipe is the lower the velocity of the fluid (in this case, air) running through it. Manometers are good devices, I recommend playing with them. I wrote a report on the drop in 'head' or pressure loss throughout a liquid system last term, and it's interesting to see which types of bends and fittings flow better than other ones. Haven't got the time atm to go into it, but will try to elaborate at a later point.
  9. Ditto all the above, an awesome technically-minded post there from Mr. Cheesewire :notworthy: Viper intake / Ram-Air will do nothing on a road car except sound bad and empty your wallet :salute:
  10. Good efforts bro! :salute: Smoke me a kipper...I'll be back for breakfast.
  11. OMG       You have the rare black and purple seats (rear bench WITH armrest) I want so badly!
  12. Neil there is indeed an ABF thread on here and i'm not gonna point you to it! :nono: the search is still an ally in the war against laziness...
  13. Sorting lambda wiring is something you don't need a pit or a lift for, it's quite easy to do lying on your back underneath or reaching down past the brake servo. hth.
  14. A slipping belt would show up as steering feeling light and then getting heavy all of a sudden, and it would be "jittery" on full lock. Had that on my mk2 also.
  15. Could you save some money by taking the Corrado off the road? Running 3 cars is actually going to kill you, esp if you've taken a cut in wages.
  16. Looking good matey, seems like you've got a lot of race parts on the with the solid mounts all over and the coils. Is it gonna be a track day car or something? Also, do you have an allen bolt holding your coilover to your hub or is it a bad photo?
  17. sorry, overlooked the obvious!
  18. screw injection looms. carb'd f/i engine!
  19. I think you can check the resistance across the terminal? Lemme pull out my mk2 haynes... Sorry, doesn't seem to say how to test it. They're only about £10ish anyways (iirc) and are quickly swapped out. This will affect your economy too, so not a bad thing to swap out for new.
  20. Love the grey ones, they're so nice :luvlove:
  21. Goes to the exhaust manifold, homey. It's the warm air feed for when the car is starting up: as the exhaust manifold is hot pretty 99.9% of the time the car is running, that duct just takes the earm air back into the air intake system to gget the car running smoother. Note: it doesn't actually recycle exhaust gases, it just takes warm air that is radiating off the hot manifold. AFAIK, it's not the root of your lambda problem. hth, Jon.
  22. Well I'm pretty sure my PAS pump is dead now from pumping air and not having the hydro fluid to lubricate it, so from that POV it's kinda bad. I can live with the rack, just keep the tyres pumped up. Just don't expect to parallel park well! I'd recommend getting it fixed if you can, I wouldn't say it's urgent, but that's imho.
  23. Could well me by good man :salute: Else I'll grab a set of VR gas shocks and pop the springs on those
  24. Any coilovers which don't have anodised threads (like proper race cars do) are prone to rusting and seizing. I know what our Lambo runs, but I probably shouldn't say in case there's a spy in our midst!
  25. Save it Delta Force!!!! You're our only hope
