Hey guys and gals, As above, does anyone have the P/N for the front wishbone bush from the Audi TT 3.2 quattro? Believed to be the same as the Golf R32? Not sure which MK though. Got the rear ones already, so just need some data for the fronts. Thanks, Josh P.S - Nothing in terms of part numbers has come up in the search....

OI... Those are mine, b1tch! ;)
-
Beautiful Corrado! WELL DONE THAT MAN! Looks in absolutely mint condition too. Are there many Corrados in France?!
-
....maybe so... but it'll still be a Golf! :brickwall:
-
I did this in my Mk3 polo when I was a bit younger, so feel your pain too. Strangely, I find my Corrado so much easier to judge and park than my company focus! That thing is both enormous AND impossible!

WHERE do you find the gearbox code on an AUTO BOX?
mariojoshi replied to mariojoshi's topic in Drivetrain
Still can't find the bloody thing! Some guys are telling me it should be 01P or 01M? VAGCAT says: CFB,CBY,APC, APE,CBZ,CFC, CFH,CFA,APB, CFF Confused..... you will be :( -
Well, as it says really. Selling an automatic gearbox off a VR6 on a certain auction site... we've never known what code it actually is, and can only find this on the top of it: Where, ladies and gentlemen, do you find the "02*" code on a box like this? We've got people asking and have no idea! Any help appreciated! Josh

fuel pump? fuel pump relay? magic triangle = AIR SPARK FUEL Also, I take it you aren't having any alarm problems? Could be cutting out part of the circuit. Unlikely, but possible

Anyone have the part no's for timing chains and tensioners?
mariojoshi replied to Leonard's topic in Suppliers Forum
I'd imagine unlikely?! Never heard of anyone replacing a flywheel.. other than to get a lightened version. Please correct me if I'm wrong guys! -
This chap has obviously never seen standard Corrado headlights ;)
-
The connector that the hid wiring goes into is 3 pin becuase the bulb (that this connector orginally attaches to) is also 3pin.. Not sure if this is what you mean, but can't be anything else to be honest. All they should theoretically need to know is that it's for an H4 bulb replacement?!

Since the flywheel is a very heavy mass item that the engine has to rotate, surely shaving over half the weight off would do something? The reason for the weight is to make the power come on and off smoothly, I've been told... anyone care to get any more technical? Theoretically, as mentioned, a lighter flywheel would allow the engine to rev more quickly and more freely? I'm no engineer......... :norty:

From everything you've said... ...I bet she's looking at your policy already ;) Absolutely stunning piece of automotive work.

As does that engine bay fella! :luvlove:

Great question - looking forward to seeing some responses! I've read that too light and the car starts feeling very jerky, espeically when coming off the loud pedal?

I'm sure this earth strip should be conected......
mariojoshi replied to matt-the-mussel's topic in Engine Bay
This seems to be VERY common. Mine did the same a long time ago. Doubt it's critical, but on old cars with old electrics, a good earth is always a good idea. -
Got a letter from the police (UPDATE Wed 4th Feb) ....

Hehehe. Had this EXACT problem about 2 weeks ago. We've temporarily pikey'd the mount and bent the hanger. Contact Daves16v on here. I think he can make you an exact copy for about £20 or so. Just look for his door handle repair thread in suppliers if you can't find him. Strangely, even with our pikey efforts - mine is stable and sitting really nicely!

http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p2375_Triple-layered-Metal-Headgasket-VR6-for-Increased-Compression.html Thoughts guys? Would appear to save having to sandwich seperate gaskets together? Is this a little bit on the cheap side?! I was wondering about spacer gaskets etc for a while... that looks good, but I'm not sure what the compression change would be?

http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p734_VR6-Dual-Timing-Chain-Kit.html :confused4: Trying to work out whether to get the big V @ stealth to just order it all in, or get some parts myself. -

If your gearbox is coming off.... I'd say defo do the chains! Most VRs are certainly coming up to the point where they could do with a check. However, you're in a good position to actually have a physical check over them and see what's what. If the car is going to be off the road for a week or so, could always wait, inspect and then do it if need be. What's your mileage? -
Can I also recommend a friend of mine who also offers this service, but with a proper lowloader. http://thecarmover.co.uk/ He went into this business after being frustrated with the poor service that others were offering. Heavily into his VWs and also has a Corrado! Based in the south east, but goes national!

Hehe, she has good taste..... in cars anyway ;) Mine loves my Corrado! :luvlove:
