  1. Hey chaps, just wondering where I can pick up a Corrado specific car cover? Cheers, D.
  2. Found this, thought peeps might find it interesting... I think its a little dated now as surely the top-end 'new' Corrado would have an R36, or maybe due to the success of the R8 Volkswagen would go all out and whack a V10 in there? Who knows...
  3. Nevermind the Corrado's Future, what about the future Corrado? Will VW ever make one? Have there ever been any prototypes or 'maybe's'? Maybe, despite all the negative feedback on various t'internet forums, the new Scirocco will be a success and they'll build a new Sports Coupe with a R36 engine? :D
  4. I'm missing the following relays from my fusebox: - Number 5 (low coolant level) - Number 9 (seat belt warning system) Is this a problem? Or are the relays still available from VW? Cheers.
  5. Ok, all fuses fixed and everything ok. It appears that when the drivers door is fully open as far as it will go, the electric windows go crazy, (go down by themselves, blow fuses etc) so I can only assume there is something crazy electrical wise going on inside the drivers door!
  6. Ah, just discovered these. Its a 25A on the left and a 15A on the right - both working fine. Also discovered the wiring behind the passenger trim in the rear - all the wiring looks fine, but I'll just point it out to VW on Tuesday. The only thing is that number 14 fuse keeps blowing. It did have a 10A in it, but that blew, so I stuck a 15A in it and that went too! Can someone please, please, please tell me what fuse (5, 10, 15, 20, 25A etc) goes it which numbered slot in the fuse box? :? Cheers for this help lads.
  7. Didn't even know it was there! So behind the trim thats in the rear passenger side? Okay-then, I'll see if I can go remove it. Mucho cheers dude.
  8. C'mon guys...someone's got to have a bit of info?
  9. Hi chaps, Well, I've squared away my upcoming service - 21st May - and I've now had VW fit a new headlight control unit switch yesterday... However, now I have an electrical gremlin thats making me go :cuckoo: Since having my car I've had a niggle with the electric windows fuse blowing now and again ('bout 3/4 times in 6months of ownership). It always seems to be FUSE 14 FOR REVERSE LIGHTS 10AMP. Yesterday, the fuse blew again, and whenever I initially put another in it would blow instantly. Now normally this wouldn't piss me off that much, but its 30+ degrees! So now my beloved 1995 Corrado VR6 has a new trick and here is the problem (going to VW on Tuesday 13th for this) The electric windows no longer work, however the fuse 14 isn't blowing, but now the central locking also isn't working?! The keyfob activates/deactivates the alarm as per usual and the indicators flash...but no joy from the central locking. Which fuse is for the electric windows and central locking anyway? Its not listed on the fuse box trim and I don't have a Corrado manual. PLEASE HELP!!! I'm going crazy and sweating like a chick with a bag of dicks.
  10. In Cambridge its £95ph! Thankfully here in Gutersloh its €69ph (£54)
  11. 10,000mile service at my local VW dealership. - general 10,000mile checks (car is coming up to 78,000miles) - 6 new spark plugs - oil change and oil filter - coolant flush and change Extras I've asked for... - rear brake pads changed - handbrake cable(s) adjusted - front and rear brakes cleaned (front brakes are new and have been squeeking lately) - Audi TT pedals ordered and fitted - new headlight control switch ordered and fitted - labour charges Cost - €509 (£400.78*) Is this good? I've not owned the car long enough to have had it serviced in the UK. * todays exchange rate = 1 GBP = 1.270 EUR.
  12. I took it to VW today and they said not to worry about it. Guess I'll leave it, its not really a big deal.
  13. Shiiiiiit  How much is that going to set me back then? The labour charges over here aren't too bad, 'bout 69 Euros an hour.
  14. Hi chaps, Bit of an odd thing I've recently noticed with my Corrado VR6. When I'm stationary and I pull away from a junction/traffic lights etc I notice that the revs dip a bit when I start to take my foot of the clutch pedal to engage it. Also a bit of a sqeek :? The revs when idle are just above 500rpm (which I'm told is normal for a VR6). Please tell me I don't need a new clutch! Cheers, D.
  15. Cheers lads, went back outside and changed it to 3 beeps! I thought I was going mad :gag:
  16. After giving up on my quest to find some decent stanard Corrado speakers, I've got in touch with my local car audio place (back in the UK, Cambridge) and asked them to advise me on which speakers to go for... ...but I'd also like you guys to help :) Which ones have peeps here fitted? I'm not after anything uber-amazing, but I do want something reasonable. I currently have a JVC CD/mp3/DAB unit in the car if that makes any difference? Cheers.
  17. Ok, now I feel really stupid! I've moved the slider and it only flashes twice again! What on earth is the slider on the keyfob for?! :D
  18. Recently when using the keyfob to lock my Corrado, I've noticed that the indicators flash 3 times. Is this normal? :? I might be going mad, but I'm sure it used to flash only twice?! It still flashes the usual once when I unlock. D.
  19. £3k should buy you a fairly decent VR6, although I don't think I've ever seen them that low at TCS. Pistonheads.com, is another strong alternative if you ask me. Just keep checking and then get in there quickly! You won't be disappointed. Just nail it in 2nd on the test-drive and I bet you buy the bugger!
  20. As above really. Obviously, I realise that if I spend bucks I'd get a better wax, but I'm talking reasonable money - as in less than £50. Cheers.
  21. Nah, the brake fluid was done recently when I had the front discs/pads replaced. So there is nothing at 80,000miles that needs doing in particular like the chains/tensioners or other random belts lurking around the engine bay that I don't know about?! D.
  22. Hey chaps, Whats involved with a 10,000mile service at a VW dealership and what sort of price (in £'s) would I be looking at? I've not had it serviced in the UK yet, the car is currently 76,500miles, so it would be the 80,000mile service, is there anything else in particular that needs doing at that mileage? Thanks :norty:
  23. I have had this a couple of times - the sunroof jamming open that is - but it closes fine when I lock the car. In the case of an emergency, where is the manual winder thing for the sunroof located?! Cheers.
